@blush_response If you hold Func while you turn Euclidean mode off, it'll save as a regular pattern and you can do probabilities on the track. Great vid!
Love all your demo's you push these machines the way I do! One thing about Euclidean mode though, if you hold FUNC and turn EUC off it will retain the Euclidean pattern. Then you can adjust, p-lock, add triggers just like you normally would.

It’s nice to have a channel doing such a good content . I’m trying to figure out what is better for me. An Analog Rytm mkt 2 or the digitakt + the syntak. I need one or the other to create my own drum samples in the studio.. I work a lot with sound design and in the DAW I usually use synth and sample layers to make my own drum sounds. When I say digitakt + syntak it’s because I’m thinking about syncing the MIDI of the two devices and layering the synth (of syntak) with samples (of the digitakt). Example: in digitakt a clap sample and in the syntak a synth model clap. I’m trying to figure out which choice has more sound design power. In the Analog Rytm mkt 2 I can resample… but in the digitakt + syntak it looks like there is a bigger range of sounds for me to tweak and experiment with. What would be your suggestion? Thank you!

You can parameter lock and add probability with the euclidian mode, the trick is to first turn it on, set per track the Euclian pulses, rotation, step length etc and then turn it off so you can add probability etc as per normal.

It's really the best drum machine you can get for money. Sold my first Mk2 some years ago and had some other DMs meanwhile. Sold everything and got an MK2 again 🤣🙈
someone sold me one on reverb for $1K in pretty much mint condition just a little over a week ago, their loss. been having a BLAST learning this amazing machine and i feel so good making out like a bandit on that deal. now the lowest on reverb post 1.7 update is in the 1300’s. lets fucking go, definitely the greatest drum machine out there but also so much more!
I think you broke it. Just the enhanced tuning and range is exciting for me. For anyone that got hyped by this video just know the calibration will take 2.5 hours so don't get too excited lol
Two features that I miss and see no reason for why they couldn't add (as both are digitally controlled) is a) independent envelope reset for amp and filter b) two LFOs, like one for sidechain, the other a proper LFO. Digitakt has those. :( Also sadly LFOs behave very weird when going into audio rates and not proper RM/FM, but I understand this is a hardware limitation (digital LFO vs analog circuits). And can sound cool with happy accidents!
I did have it for a while, but I got really bored just sampling for 8 tracks. As an analog drum machine it is fine, but I don't think it is essential, it is simply a drum machine with a sampler that records external audio and has individual outputs, but the rest is simply boring. The pads are only 12 and similar to an M-audio controller from the 2000s, the pads turn yellow even if you clean them, it really has very bad silicone, and I am very sorry that its knobs are so delicate after paying a lot of money for it. Rytm, I didn't pay as much as I do today, but I was able to sell it for more than I bought it, due to the inflation of the global financial crisis. Thanks for the video.
