Our body is a temple of God we should be careful about what we put on it. If you are truly a born-again Christian the Holy spirit will lead you on how to dress properly.
True. Sometimes I'll get dressed and think.... I dont really like showing my body this way.... then I'll change my entire outfit. And I've realised I love wearing skirts rather than pants since I turned to God. And I dont wear shorts outside the house anymore.
@Georgina Asante those long skirts are more beautiful than any skimpy outfit. And easier to style and are very comfortable.

Thank you, I used to dress for attention when I was younger. I was young and foolish with all the wrong desire, from designer and expensive clothing of this world. Ever since I accepted Christ, I change the way I dress. I still dress nice, elegant and presentable, not for men but for God. Because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in me. 🙏🏼

I used to dress in revealing clothing and wear loads of makeup to get attention. Since being born again i dont have the need to wear lots of makeup or dress in revealing clothing because my confidence comes from Christ and It feels better being respected by men. Thank you God for saving me!

Well God told me go cold turkey and i threw out the makeup and i actually felt great about. Also he said stop wearing braids and allow my natural hair to he how it is and block holes in skin im the bible it says dont cut ur skin
I once dated a very beautiful young Lady, then we went our separate ways. I bumped into her one day a short while after and was taken aback by all of the makeup she had on. I never said it, but I thought she looked way better without it. No need for all of that, it diminished her natural beauty, which was considerable.
@@cece3547 I still wear braids. But it’s all my natural hair and no extensions. I do it for a protective style. I also have narcolepsy and am always sleeping so its necessary to protect my hair. Last time my mom forced me to get extensions I had a dream of snakes on my head. She didn’t understand why I wanted to go natural until I told her my dream. Other then that. I feel the same. Wearing our hair natural has been nothing but a reward.
When I came to Christ, He change how I live , how I dress, how I think. His Holy Spirit always leading me to live simple wear modest, forsake jewelry and don’t put makes up even powder. I am here on earth to please God and live by His word.Praise God🔥🔥

I personally always thought that people should dress and adorn themselves in ways they feel comfortable, as long as it doesn’t become an obsession and a means for others to stumble. Moreover, there are people who cover up fully, wear no makeup or jewellery, but they have tremendous hatred and pride. There are other people, who wear jewellery and dress however they like, but they bring more people to Christ through their humility and kindness.

The mark of the beast is about *worship* , not about a test. There is no passage where it talks about a test or microchip or anything of that kind. Satan has no power to put the mark of the beast on anyone who doesn't want it. Taking the mark is a *conscious* choice!
Some things you said were good and important, for example praying, reading the Bible, fasting... but encouraging others to leave "the assembling of ourselves together" (Hebrews 10: 25) isn't good at all. God wants us to have good and healthy relationships with other believers and He wants us to worship him together with others. The church is made to bring believers together so they can talk about the bible, ask questions, worship together, grow spiritually and have fellowship. It's a wonderful gift of God meant to be a blessing. I think that the bible is very clear on these two topics. You seem like a passionate christian which in itself is good, so I'd love to seek a conversation with where you explain the points you brought up. :)

Esther went through a period of beautification both spiritually and physically in preparation to meet the King. I believe there needs to be a balance. As brother Daniel said it depends on whether the reasons behind it and if it overtakes/consumes your life. We need to dress modestly but we can still dress smartly as we are also representing God to others. Also for those who are married, it’s nice to make an effort for your husband when going out even though most time are simple in make up and clothes. As long as God is at the forefront and not dressing to get attention for oneself etc..
Yes, absolutely there has to be a balance in even in our appearance as the bible says wearing makeup or jewelry is not a sin but focusing on it to please the world is sin.
@Roll_gamingYT of course trying to please the world is sin but as Daniel says here from his insights it's good to wear jewelry and cosmetics but doing it to please others rather than spiritually focusing is a sin.
After all our body is a temple of God where He dwells. it's our job to take care of it. Wearing what is modest in the sight of people and don't cause unwanted attention towards you.

I couldn’t think of anything else but my intense shame about my clothes. I never went back. It was years before I tried going to church again.

We don't have to put Makeup on, or wear Jewelry to look beautiful. Because God all ready made us beautiful! Just like Pastor Gino Jennings once said, "If you think you are beautiful when you put Makeup on? What do you think when you take it off? Do you think that you are ugly then?" His statement makes total sense, even though I never thought of it that way.

I do wear very little makeup once in a while. I too wear a bracelet or a small necklace, but its few and far in between when I do. I used to sell Premier design jewelry so I still some left that I kept that were modest and not bold. The older I get, the more i realize i don't need all that makeup or the fancy jewelry. God made me beautiful just as i am.

This is why understanding context and the purpose of scripture is so important. I have kinky Afro hair and I wear my hair in braids as an easy and protective style. My Afro hair is very high maintenance, so wearing braids saves me so much time that could be used to serve the Lord. It would be different if I used braids to be vain, rather I wear them to make my life my manageable and keep my hair (my crown) healthy. Timothy’s whole point is being modest and the opposite of being modest is being conceited. People in general need to take a look at their hearts and assess their motives of why they dress a certain way.
I wouldn't even bother explaining myself about the braids. It's convenient. People are so quick to condemn. I wear a bit of makeup, some jewelry and dress beautifully. I get alot of flak & shade from women for it. It's as if they resent me. It's really a heart matter. I don't idolize vanity. Just like to look feminine. Church women, Christian women think i don't serve Christ. I do.

God also made it clear that while fasting..to wash your face ect..In other words..if your a little pale or looking rough..Sure, apply a touch of blush ect...To look healthy ect...To not draw negative attention to yourself ..if your appearance distracts ftom your message and you can fix it..go ahead! ..Btw..Our hair is our glory...spend enough time washing, brushing and styling. Its a gift..appreciate it and be grateful.
