God’s word instructs us to be separate. We are a peculiar people and when others look at us, they should be able to see a difference between us and those that are in the world. Our whole beings should be a witness…a face full of make up and piercings ruins your witness. Our bodies are the temple of God. Imagine a beautiful house that is white and perfect as it is…then imagine that same house with graffiti on it (make-up) and holes in the windows (piercings)…which house would you prefer? But it is a personal conviction issue between God & that woman. For some, it may be okay. For others, they may benefit by not wearing it.
@@artforchrist5065 But make up is a tradition of men and in the Bible it is closely related to Jezebel, vanity and walking in the flesh…there are several scriptures on this. If we love each other as God loves us, which we are instructed to do in John 13:34 KJV (the scripture directly preceding the scripture you referenced), what would the purpose be for make up? God looks at the heart, not at our outward appearance as indicated in the word of God. Also, I would ask what’s the purpose of make-up? To enhance outward beauty, to attract men, to get validation from women, to make someone feel better about their appearance?? These are all reasons that go against the word of God. The Bible speaks about how Jesus wasn’t someone to be desired by outward appearance and how he was holy. So we should follow His example and stop trying to be like the world or “fix” what God made wonderful in His image.

God wouldn't care as long as you had faith in him and lived as such. Jesus was born in the "ghetto" and preached in some "ghettos". Imagine if he didn't because of how it looked. God doesn't prefer things of the world. Also we get glorified bodies when we are taken to heaven. Our "homes" whether damaged or not won't be coming, they will be renewed. I am not Christian, but thank you for providing me with this information and message. It makes a lot of sense in my head regardless of the religion. Maybe one of the biggest challenges about being a woman is to detach our acceptance in society from the way we look like.

Some people say no which I respect that but from what I've learned is that since Jesus died on the cross we can (of course if we pray over it). The only rule in the New Testament is don't eat anything strangled, bloody (like rare/medium rare steak), or sacrificed to idols
@boikgantsophaka6193 @7SUBHANALLAH7 @justcallmecat263 I think the book of Matthew says it best: Matthew 15:10-20 10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” 12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” 13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides.[a] And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” 15 But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” 16 And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?[b] 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.” And also this: “What God has declared clean you must not call common” Acts 10:15 We can eat pork. There are some laws in the Old Testament which we don't have to follow anymore. Laws of purification and all that, because Jesus is our purification. We don't need to follow those purification rituals anymore because His blood wiped that all away. And it's also important to note that the ban on pork was probably because if you don't cook it right, it can make you really sick with worms and other diseases, so God was protecting people. But now we have proper ovens and stuff which allows us to cook it safely - not that that's what justifies it, just a note I wanted to add.
@careline939 _"But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone"_ Now, granted I'm no atheist, but that so-called passage of "Wisdom" in the Bible there just sounds Absofreakinglutely Retarded ! Yeah, let someone put that passage in practice and not wash their hands after they finished using the bathroom in a restaurant, including no. 2. I wonder how many of these same devout Christians would want said person serving them their food ? Whatever I put in my mouth doesn't defile me ? Ummm, I think I'll pass on that one, but for Christians ? Have at it if you wish. BeverageGuzzler 🦀 ♋️
why didn't you read the whole verse? 1 Timothy 2:9-10-in like manner also, the women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10but, with which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
you can wear all of this BUT IN MODERATION, it because Greek rich women would look down on other women that does not have gold in their hair pearls ect meaning they are a lower class another cast of society ! it not about how you look or what you like to wear at all it about looking down on others because you are rich or prideful!!! that why historical context matter too !!! you can be pride and look beautiful but don't look down on others when you do embellish yourself 1 Timothy 2:9-10-
Jezebel simply wore makeup. . More notably to entice. There is no inherit command in the Bible against makeup. Where would it be, according to you? The Bible talks about jewlery in good light. Read the Old Testament, truly study and immerse yourself in every particular moment it's mentioned and you'll see most of the time it's for blessing or adornment, even by and for God's people. Paul does not say, (and even then he was speaking to wives), to not do any of these things as they were sin. But what is sin, and even then he does not mention makeup. . But he says do not make it vanity, an idol, a way to entice. . not that these things themselves are inherently bad. Again, read the Old Testament.
can and can ofcourse..but not as an idolatry...but a real person doesnt use it...because God is the real deal and true makeup and true jewelry...in hes kigdom he has moore jewelry then this world..and we shall not think about neather about it...i love god because he has jewlry in heavenly or something like it...he knows our heart our heart is wicked and deceithfull...

Some people say no which I respect that but from what I've learned is that since Jesus died on the cross we can (of course if we pray over it). The only rule in the New Testament is don't eat anything strangled, bloody (like rare/medium rare steak), or sacrificed to idols
@boikgantsophaka6193 @7SUBHANALLAH7 @justcallmecat263 I think the book of Matthew says it best: Matthew 15:10-20
10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” 12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” 13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”
And also this: “What God has declared clean you must not call common” Acts 10:15
We can eat pork.
@7SUBHANALLAH7what paul wrote in the Bible was what the holy spirit said he must write. So God was speaking through paul❤
@careline939 _"But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone"_
Now, granted I'm no atheist, but that so-called passage of "Wisdom" in the Bible there just sounds Absofreakinglutely Retarded !

Amen ❤️❤️
why didn't you read the whole verse?
1 Timothy 2:9-10-in like manner also, the women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10but, with which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
you can wear all of this BUT IN MODERATION, it because Greek rich women would look down on other women that does not have gold in their hair pearls ect meaning they are a lower class another cast of society ! it not about how you look or what you like to wear at all it about looking down on others because you are rich or prideful!!! that why historical context matter too !!! you can be pride and look beautiful but don't look down on others when you do embellish yourself 1 Timothy 2:9-10-
How come she lies about makeup, she has missed the part about jezebel and that the bible says it's a sin to wear makeup and jewelery
Exactly
where does it say?
Where does it say that?
MODEST WAYS IS A BAD REPUTATION... STICK TO THE OLD SCRIPTURES BIBLE 📖
