Apart from the basic Shuddha Malhar Raga,that is supposedly associated with torrential rains, several newly remixed Ragas are being used as Malhar signature phrases , including Miyan ki Malhar, Megh Malhar, Ramdasi Malhar, Gaud Malhar, Sur Malhar, Desh Malhar, Nat Malhar, Dhulia Malhar and Meera ki Malhar !.
Despite no perfect equivalent raga exists in Carnatic Music for this composed in 'Milan Ki Malhar ' under Hindustani, its almost akin to a 50-50 mix of Kaanada n Kaapi Ragas . This presentation is almost a different one like 'fusion' but of course, enchanting to listen. Still I am reminded of the same song by Bhojpuri singer Kalpana which is in pure Hindustani style...
I used to celebrate rain while at home, by singing film songs as well as few classical keerthanas, even now!!!

Omg I just wanna point out something this video really REALLY did well. It's ENDING THE VIDEO WITH THE CREDITS. Seriously, every video in the world finishes the song first and then replays a random part of the song from the middle to show the credits. That kills the entire high we just had from the grand ending of the song. This is rare. Just blend the credits with the main song itself so that when the song ends, we are just in awe with how amazing it was. Good job guys, I hope you're still doing the same even after 4 years.
