माझी दोन दिवस मानसिकता बिघडली होती. अचानक मेघ मल्हार राग ऐकण्याची ईच्छा झाली. योगायोग सावनीजींची गायकी समोर आली. चमत्कार माझं मन खुळत गेलं. माझ्यातील कवीमन जागृत झाला. साक्षात माता सरस्वती. क्या गायकी. भी प्रेमात पडलो. पहाटे पाचपासून गायकी ऐकून स्वर्गीय आनंद घेतोय. लाजवाब. परमेश्वर सावनीताईना उदंड यश देवो. योगायोग मी "श्रावणी" कादंबरी लिहिलीय.श्रावणी कादंबरीची नाईका आहे. Savaniji how can one describe your singing. No words with any ane. You are Godess Saraswati yourself. Melody is yourself. No comparison for mesmarising singing style with all smiles in the in the earth on your graceful face. You are now singing Raag Megh with glory and mejesty.. Dhanyosmi hearing you. I am fond of your classical Vocal, Today 13th June 22 I started playing your Raag Megh Malhar suddenly rain started during drut Lay ( द्रुत लय ) I enjoyed the Raag real effect of it. May God bless your magnificent Vocal cord.

Yes, Sawani ji is an accomplished singer who is trained in Kirana and Gwalior gharana both. Most importantly her sense of aesthetics is remarkable that makes her music so sublime. Please listen to other artistes also on Komal Nishad TH-cam channel.

Wah wah... what a beautiful comment. In reality it was raining a lot on the day of this concert. Sawaniji's flight got delayed due to the rains and we were doubtful whether our audiences would show up. But when she started performing, the joint effect of the rains outside the auditorium and the melodious raag Megh, transported all of us to another world. Maybe that got captured in the video.

Sawani mam, I am your keen listener from Kolkata.....but drut bandish performed in doordarshan was ornamented with more "Akutis" which touched my heart. Here, it is in much miniature form....... overall kya gayaki and tayari
Hello Tanmay ji, thank you for your keen listening. I guess that is the beauty of Indian Classical Music, no two performances are identical. Also, Komal Nishad concerts are more the baithak type of concerts, so the mood of the artists and the audience also perhaps influences how and what the artists end up performing. Coincidentally, this was the Malhar Utsav in 2019 and it was raining very heavily, so much that we didnt expect any audience turnout at all, but they came in large numbers... maybe the fact that it was also raining influenced Sawani ji's singing on that day.
