They aren't jackrabbits, they're European brown hares, more closely related to snowshoe hares than American jack rabbits. We hunt them down here in NZ, they're super abundant, during the spring time they have their "rut" and they become really easy to shoot, they just run around chasing each other, oblivious to your presence pretty much. We hunt them with 17hmrs, save the backstraps to cook as steaks, slow cook the quarters, and the frames go to the dogs.
I live in thr Chilean Patagonia, and I have like a half dozen every morning go through my front yard. They get bigger. way bigger than in this in this video.
FYI, I have clocked them at over 80 km an hour in my car. I had one dog that could run 80 km an hour for short burst, and he could only catch them if they made a mistake and turned while he was chasing them. They are more like small kangaroos.
@@cenccenc946 yeah they get huge over here in NZ as well. Biggest that i've shot was around 8kg's with a full stomach. Difference is that NZ has absolutely zero predators for them, so here they just keep on growing and growing.

That's actually not true about the tip of the flame being the hottest. It's actually the blue part of the flame. Closest to the base.
You put the flame out messing with the blue. Which equals not hot.
