Haven't heard her do a rock song before. Crazy good musicians. She was a gift from God that He took from us up to Heaven much too soon. The voice of an angel. If she had written her own songs it would have been maybe superstardom. I don't think she wanted that... RIP Eva. ♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
The "Method Actor" album was created by a group of greatly talented, local players from the D.C. area in 1988. The group consisted of: Eva Cassidy - vocals, backup vocals and album artwork; David Christopher - Guitarist; Ken Fiester - Bsssist; Jim Campbell - Drummer; Ned Judy - Grand Piano and Synthesizers; Tom Crawford - Sax; Mark Izzi - Sax; and Tom Prasada-Rao - Violin. The album was written and produced by David Christopher, and the recording engineer was Chris Biondo. You can hear Eva Cassidy's vocal greatness throughout the album, and during the recording sessions, Chris Biondo decided Eva Cassidy was the greatest singer he had ever heard. After the band members went their separate ways, Chris got Eva extra recording work at his studio to supplement her income, and later, he formed the Eva Cassidy Band to display her phenomenal singing ability.

@@thedarkdefender7780 The "Method Actor" album was released but had no funds for major distribution. Band members were giving copies away to their friends. The Washington Post reviewed the album Sept. 08, 1988, and Eva was mentioned prominently. Eva was very proud of it because of being the lead singer and painting the artwork for the album. In 1996, after Eva died, all of her new band members (Eva Cassidy Band) gave Eva's parents their rights to all the music they had recorded with Eva. Her parents signed a contract with Blix Street Recordings, but the "Method Actor" album wasn't involved in the contract (different band members with contract agreements signed in 1988). Once Eva's popularity picked up in England, checks started coming in. At first, the Cassidy's were giving money to Eva's present day band members, but Blix Street's lawyers advised them against it. When they stopped giving them some of the money, lawsuits started being filed and things got ugly as Eva got more and more popular in Europe. David Christopher also wanted to release 45,000 additional "Method Actor" (MA) albums, but more lawsuits from Blix and counter lawsuits from Christopher were filed. Blix claimed "Method Actor" wasn't as professionally polished as their recordings, but Chris Biondo initially engineered all of Eva's music. In the end, the Cassidy's wanted to let David Christopher sell more copies of (MA), but Blix Street kept fighting against it. Later, Blix Street and the Cassidy's were filing lawsuits against each other over several issues. Bottom-line, Blix Street Records is the biggest reason movies and more documentaries haven't been made about Eva Cassidy. The irony is that Blix Street wanted her famous to make money on her music, but now they hinder her fame and additional fortune by being too greedy to let one small band in on the profits they deserve!!!
She would have eventually had her own music. Then superstardom would’ve come. I would’ve tried to write songs for her. I guess there is a reason for what happens in life or so I’m told.
Beautiful Eva, such a talent, why do the good go so young, bless you sweetheart xx

What is a star? She is a star, she didn't need to become one. That's one reason she was one.
LOVE this song, poor quality or not, very touching and beautiful!
A very moving song sang by Eva a great artist.
Think of all the great songs she hadn’t yet sung.
Why hasn't this had an official release?

she didn't want stardom
She already knew that she was dying…
i hear a little of the Heart sisters in this one
