My Mario Party 9 footage is not that great, but I didn't want to play it again just to get better footage, so yeah.

When you put your obvious hate boner for the kart mechanic aside it becomes a lot easier.
I noticed a parallel between your boards rankings and schaffrilas disney movies and sequels rankings! The shorter one is the most painful one.
Man gives me vibes of Schaffrillas productions (in a good way). And yes I did watch the 1-8 DS and super video as well.
Ok so when Waluigi island is unforgiving chaos that’s fine but when magma mine (my favorite board in this game) is unfair that’s bad because of the car? Ok then😐
There's choices in mario party 3 , you can use items to avoid all the chaos If so choose , that's the difference choice

@@mrpiccionedivino5598 but that’s why there’s multiple dice spaces and planning ahead once it’s about your turn can help you I do agree that it is somewhat luck based but I don’t think this is worse than bom omb factory which screws you over no matter what
@@thegreatkamekus4524at least the bomb omb incentivizes you go use 0-1 and 1-3 dices aside from the occasional strategic roll, all the other gimmicks just hope you brute force with high dice rolls apart from the stsr-ztar ship in blooper beach and the boos.
Okay I’ve noticed there’s like 5 comments about Magma Mine and look, I agree with enjoying it more than the other boards in 9, but I absolutely get how people can despise it because of all the stuff Maro already said. That being said, when I played the board a bunch as a kid I don’t remember having many games where everyone got screwed over? And some games no one hit the lava.
Also MP9 vs MP8 is just a mess of an argument. 9 has better minigames because the motion controls feel more responsive but 8 definitely has better boards
Well this is right. Magma Mine is kind of bland if everyone just tries to do their best and chase after their own profits. But if everyone is *T O X I C* and tries to screw each other, This board is such a blast.(also kind of stands for Bob-omb Factory, Boo's Horror Castle, and Blooper Beach.)
And I should agree that boards of 8 IS better than 9, and the minigames are the opposite.

6:52 hey at least it's one of the few things that encourage you to use 0-1 and 1-3 dices.
7:44 you don't go to the sidequest and the party crashers to get a nuanced review of mario party games, for most of them it's just the one where they win the most is the best.
9:50 idk i think having the coins matter basically more than the star makes for some points of interest but yeah most of the strategy is still high dice rolls and not much else.

Did you play the bowser party mode in 10? It's actually pretty fun and gives a reason for the car to be there
It’s fun at first but gets extremely repetitive with only 10 mini games and 3 boards
Yeah, I really liked Bowser Party and thought it worked well with the car. It’s disappointing that there’s only three boards and only like 10 mini games though.
@@maromaster5056 personally I hate all of Mario party 10’s boards more than 9 because while yes the pacing is faster but there isn’t that many boards along with copying 9’s homework makes all of them feel shallow and lazy,mushroom park being my least favorite board in the series. And magma mine is an underrated gem!
Magma mine is the only great board in 9.
