Mario + Rabbids should have been higher on this list and is definitely better than Origami King. You must be really bad at strategy games if you thought that all of the characters played the same. They are all unique especially in sparks of hope.
0:53 did u not watch this part? Plus he was generous enough to put it above Paper Jam and Color Splash. It has nothing when it comes to over world gameplay, it’s not that great.
I probably sound like literally any"You're so underrated" comment but I really like your style of humor. Side Note: I bought Paper Jam on release and was so dissapointed that we didn't visit the Paper World/had any "Non New Super Mario Bros" Stuff.
My ranking: (In my opinion there's nothing under C tier) C tier: 14 - Sticker Star (Isn't HORRIBLE like everyone says though) 13 - Paper Jam (Wasted potential) B tier: 12 - Dream Team (Good game but TUTORIAL) 11 - Kingdom Battle (Nice game) 10 - Sparks of Hope (Slightly better than Kingdom Battle) 9 - RPG (Pretty good) 8 - PM64 (Please don't kill me for this) A tier: 7 - Color Splash (One of my two most nostalgic Mario RPG's, but imo it holds up even ignoring nostalgia) 6 - Superstar Saga (I love this game) 5 - Origami King (Great game!) S tier: 4 - Partners in Time (My first Mario RPG, besides that underrated) 3 - Bowser's Inside Story (I. Love. This. Game) 2 - TTYD (This game is too good to be true, yet still not number 1...) 1 - Super (The story. The gameplay. The characters. Everything else. OH GOD! You love it or hate it, I'm definitely the former)
Just watched this after playing some post game in the TTYD remake and on the heels of the announcement of a new Mario and Luigi! What a win for the Mario RPG fans!
Personally I'd rank SS and BIS above TTYD, yes TTYD is great but imo it's story is carried by the side plots, almost nothing happens in the main plot and imo (again for re-clarification) the villains (besides Doopliss and sorta Crump) are bland as hell. Whereas in SS the main plot is always moving, maybe more happens in TTYD, but the stuff in SS matters more to the main plot and makes the story feel more active: You team up with Bowser at first, Luigi is dragged along (remember this is the first ML game), the Beanish royalty are turned into monsters, Bowser gets amnesia, the main villain is killed halfway through and possesses Bowser, the Bros get elemental powers, etc etc. For BIS I won't say as much since most has been said but storywise, imo the endgame is just TTYD's main plot done better: the main villain has a personality and still part of the final boss alongside the ancient evil, both the main villain and ancient evil are fought first at half power before combining to form the final boss, dark hurricane is cooler than the sky getting a little darker, etc (Also I just like ML gameplay more than PM)
21:31 basically all mario rpg stories include it at some point , get some things to make a big thing to open a thing or make a thing to get to another thing. E.g. a good example, get the crystal stars to open the thousand year door to stop a demon, get the star spirits to resure peach, get the star cures to cure the blobs, or a bed example, get pieces of a bed to sleep on to get to a special bird to take you to bowser (or something like that). I don’t have a problem with fetch quests as long as they have purpose and are interesting.
4 things i hate about modern Paper Mario. 1: Over reliance on paper references even down to having literal office supplies as enemies. 2: Simplified and boring character designs. 3: Simplified or overly gimmicky battle mechanics no one asked for. 4: Uninteresting villains with maybe the exception of Origami King.
Bowsers inside story is definitely the best in the Mario and Luigi series. Public opinion agrees too. It’s so highly praised for a reason. It has the best story, charm, levels/level design, rpg elements, and don’t even get me started on the final boss music. I haven’t played ttyd but I won’t discredit or praise something I haven’t experienced
Not enough people mention the Spin Dash. I’ve been playing the original Paper Mario to death via the randomizer, and mastering spinning across the map made it really hard to go back to TTYD with its lackluster movement options
Love Mario RPGs so much! I personally enjoy all of them except Sticker Star, but overall they all feel very unique from each other and are incredibly fun to replay every now and then. Definitely my go-to RPG games.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword? Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story? Mario Galaxy? Animal Crossing: New Leaf? The entire Wii Series?? No shade, but there are much better and more iconic Nintendo OSTs.
This is great, I think you should watch coney or carlito because you have very similar video structure to them. They are great at sarcasm and I think you’d enjoy them. I’d love to see how this channel grows and I think you’ll get far.

I see you didn't really add Sparks of Hope, Nor Puzzles and Dragons Super Mario Bros Edition. As well as the remakes of the 4 Mario RPG games. Though, of the 15 RPG games I've done (excluding Color Splash, TTYD Remake, Puzzles and Dragons (needing to be replayed) and Paper Jam (needing to be replayed) There is gonna be massive backlash if I even did a ranking video like this. let's just say... Paper Mario Community was not happy with the location of their fan favorite, and probably would dislike bomb me for my placement of this game.

Super Paper Mario is my favorite rpg as well as my favorite game ever, its number 1 for me.❤ The story is number one is most platformers itself

💯
I think this list is perfect
This was honestly such a fun video to watch. I love all of the comical things thrown in, it reminds me of Schaffrillas.
I personally thing BIS should go over TTYD. Is this my nostalgia talking? Yeah, but the same thing goes for most people and TTYD 🤷♂️
Let's not forget that crappy DS microphone BIS forced you to use, *especially* on the Fawful Express fight. That sucked for people who had asthma.
Bull ttyd actually is good unlike you who probably never played shite from it that’s why people don’t take modern fans seriously.
Ttyd is good, but Bis is just special.
