I saw one today…. I still consider people with this generation still rich because Mercedes is good at designing elegant cars that will look elegant forever
Having recently bought an 08 E-Class and as a subscriber to Redline Reviews, I watched this old vid. Have to say congrats to Sofyan on how far and professional his reviews have become lately
3:40, yes it is the sport model. go back to bmw, and let someone who knows something about Mercedes review the e350. And really, chrysler? Mercedes did all of that before chrysler, so dont compare the benz to a chrysler
Omg I feel the shade 😅 I have a Chrysler 300! I love them... however Mercedes Benz is catch my attention now😩😩😩😩😩😩 I’m getting one before my 30th N 2021🍾
Is this the same as the Kia Amanti someone should have sued KIA so damn near a w211! Funny thing is it look so classy! I think i just love the classic look coz its been around more and i know this might be my next car as the 212 is abit on the higher side. Infact let me ask ya am having sleepless nights over the W220 or W211 what ya think?
I personally prefer the big and heavy feeling of this car. Really adds to the driving experience and gives you a sense of presence on the road. I have one and I drove my friend's Mazda 3 and that car felt light as a feather compared to the Benz
My friend and neighbor has a white 2008 E350 with rear wheel drive and with black leather. When you punch the accelerator especially when you're already moving like in a 'passing gear' it does not feel like you're driving a V6, but a V8 with say, about a 5.0 V8. These have so much smooth power. And the handling is like a sports car (particularly when you put it in 'sport' mode) it feels 'glued' to the road. Very responsive. I also have always liked BMW the best but, this car is awesome. Like my friend says "those Germans know how to build a car."
Audfile I own one too. I especially love the exterior. The W211 definitely had something special and unique about this car. I have one in Capri blue and beige interior and I love the way it looks
LOLman buttcheeks it’s not too bad! My dad and I do most repairs ourselves. 156k mikes and still runs and drives great! If you’re gonna buy one, spend the extra money and get one that is up on repairs :)
Mercedes actually helped Chrysler with the design of their cars before Chrysler almost went out of business so that's why you would see a coupe mercedes parts in the Chrysler. So technically speaking most of the Chrysler 300c you see is a German car but is American labeled
Just because a car says mercedes ben, bmw, audi, bently, rolls royce and other luxury brand doesn't mean the are isn't going to break down that's something people need to understand. You buy because you can afford to maintain one not because of looks that's why people complain so much they broke but want an upscale car that they can't afford
Please don’t confuse your audience, all the things you point out as “Chrysler” were in Mercedes for generations first the key and turn signal were all Mercedes first. Chrysler were lucky to get there hands on them!
What do you mean "this does not have the sport package"? That car absolutely does have the sport package. You can tell by the silver faced gauges, the big dual exhaust outlets, and LED taillights - to name a few. All of those are only on Sport package cars.
***** Incorrect. The large chrome exhaust outlets, LED taillights, and silver faced gauges are exclusive to Sport package cars. And you can have 4Matic or Sport or both - they are not mutually exclusive. Non-Sport packaged cars have no LED taillights (in the 2007-2009 model years), black faced gauges, and dual exhaust with tucked outlets that are almost not visible.
I am going to have to agree with Mlowery85. I live in the UK and my dad owns an E320 Cdi (most of us buy diesel for the efficiency) and he has the sports package. Everything that Mlowery85 states is true. The large dual exhausts are the most obvious giveaway sign of the sports package.
It has a 'Comfort' and a 'Standard' mode. The comfort mode starts you out in second gear, and shifts are sooner than in the standard mode. At one time, these used to be known as 'W" for winter, and 'S' for summer.
What an annoying, irritating review. Possibly the worst car review ever seen from a highly rated car channel. Why did you bother reviewing this car if you were not interested in it? I think Redline owes this Benz a redo from a more impartial, interested reviewer.
By 2009, this car is feeling pretty dated. It's not the smoothest riding, quietest interior or fastest 0-60 among the same class competitor. What I liked most about W211 is the exterior styling, it's very elegant and eye popping, beats the slant eyes that most auto makers design nowaday.
AMDX1325 I disagree with the notion that it isn’t the smoothest riding or quietest interior. I’ve had a decent run with an E60 and the ride was a bit more harsh and the elements were a little more intrusive along with engine noise. Can’t report what the A6 is like but I’d imagine right there with BMW. I will say no doubt Benz was behind the times with their 3.5 in terms of power but they weren’t about chasing speed they were about offering a comfortable and luxurious ride and their objective hasn’t changed since.
We have the 2012 E350 4matic and I can say that the car has been much improved over the previous model. Our car does have the 302hp 3.5 V6 which pulls this car much better than the 268hp in the car you drove. We prefered the E class over the 5 series because it has a much better ride.
Obviously he is not familiar with Mercedes. The rides very different when it’s in C or S. I own a 09 and love it. I have zero complaints. 70k miles and still rides like new. Their made to go 300k +. Have a MB person review next time.
I feel what u mean. I have a Chrysler 300 n he wasn’t giving me welcoming arms to the family of Mercedes Benz 🌎 😂 he was shady don’t matter I have someone who knows cars will go ta war lol n a debate way 😆 about cars. He got me 😩😩 I’m getting ☝️ I love BIG 🍾
Some advice to viewers: If you're used to Redline Reviews circa 2016-2018, DON'T WATCH THIS. This review was raw, uninformed, and opinionated (in ways that put down owners of this or other MB vehicles) in ways the recent reviews aren't.
solid sedan for the money in my opinion. you can pick up an 08-09 model for 10-15k with low miles and fully loaded.. good power and really a good amount of options.. defiantly would buy.
Mercedes 2008 had the 3.0 OM642 diesel my man. Like your reviews and your heavy foot driving style. Get uncomfortable when you talk sometimes you take your hands off the wheel! Stay safe.
Who cares what other people think. I don't live life according to other people's "standards". I would take this Benz because of it's conservative styling, spacious interior, comfy/quiet ride and it has a refined powertrain. I do like BMWs but here in North America it's hard to drive them the way they're meant to be driven because too many cops out on the road and restrictive speed limit.
I love the car but nav interface is not very user friendly. But now on the newer models you can get mbrace 2, and send direction request from your smart phone or computer to the nav. And be ready to go when get in the car. Great feature.
The levers are 100% Mercedes, this Mercedes is 100%. Every single part and panel, knob and lever is authentic 100% Mercedes. Nothing Crysler on this E-Class. Btw the turn signal lever hasn't changed much since W123 to this day. I hope you learned something my friend.
I would rather have a BMW as well if I desired to spend my days at the dealer having repairs done. Lack of knowledge for the segment. MB is waaaay more reliable than BMW and hold a better value.
I have the C-Class C230 from this era of Mercedes. The C/S on my car per the quick view manual states Cold weather and Sport. The selection of C= car starts in 2nd gear from a stop for better traction? The S is just normal driving which I have the car in all the time.
Just as an FYI, that's not leather, that's MB-Tex. Leather E-Classes of that generation that ruffled leather on the door panels and a different pattern on the seats.
Well, I know the E-class didn't have that key in 1996. My parents had a 1996 w210 with the old switchblade style Huf key that's similar to what you seen in Volkswagens.
This car was when merc was on their best the new e class is smaller and tighter on the inside. all the trims have black dashboard on the new e class lots of cost cutting nowadays
I'm not sure car reviews are your forte. Perhaps restricting yourself to BMW or Cryzler (have they ever built a decent vehicle?) would be more to your taste and easier for viewers to tolerate. Either way, whatever you review, you really do need to do some research first to understand better what goes on...
I like the C-class sport. The E-class is looks like its made for housewives with rich husbands. Btw can you do a e46 BMW 325i if you ever get a chance?
I'm almost certain that chrysler use the mercedes parts, not the other way round, seeing as mercedes have used these parts for decades now, such the the window switches and steering wheel stalks. Also the same for tesla they also use mercedes parts.
This body style still look elegant and classy today
It does really does. I own a 2008 E550, looks amazing! I also own a Lexus 1993 LS400 that still looks elegant as today.
I saw one today…. I still consider people with this generation still rich because Mercedes is good at designing elegant cars that will look elegant forever
Very Much So
Having recently bought an 08 E-Class and as a subscriber to Redline Reviews, I watched this old vid. Have to say congrats to Sofyan on how far and professional his reviews have become lately

ks10308 you mean go back to reviewing Honda's and Acuras!
well said.. he turned me of when he started talking crap.............Im Mercedes Fanatic..
It’s not the sport model. Sport AMG package has paddle shifters, AMG wheels, and AMG front bumper
Omg I feel the shade 😅 I have a Chrysler 300! I love them... however Mercedes Benz is catch my attention now😩😩😩😩😩😩 I’m getting one before my 30th N 2021🍾
5:32 spare tire is under the second mat. As a salesman you should know that
I personally think this car looks way better than the W212!
Moby Dick
He must be because he is right on, bloody gorgeous car!
I like the interior of the W212 but I just don't like the front end of the the W212 because of the headlights. But I love the W213
This car just has Presence, pull up in a W211 and heads turn.. it doesn't look too Korean, u know what i mean.
Is this the same as the Kia Amanti someone should have sued KIA so damn near a w211! Funny thing is it look so classy! I think i just love the classic look coz its been around more and i know this might be my next car as the 212 is abit on the higher side. The Key fob is Mercedes. The Turn Signal Stalk is Mercedes. NOT CHRYSLER
maybe
I personally prefer the big and heavy feeling of this car. Really adds to the driving experience and gives you a sense of presence on the road. I have one and I drove my friend's Mazda 3 and that car felt light as a feather compared to the Benz
Totally agree!!!

Trust me, it's just you who cannot read the fuel gauge. I guess it's your first time in a Mercedes.
Lmaf. U r so right. Also never remember Mercedes sedans ever putting spare under car. 😂
All Mercedes have the seat controls on the doors... its a long-time tradition.
Not entirely true. Only if you got seat memory options.
it’s not like complained about it so what’s ur point 😂
No..not all of them🙄
Better to deliver true informations please
I own this car and love it dearly. Shes so perfect
Audfile I own one too. I especially love the exterior. The W211 definitely had something special and unique about this car. I have one in Capri blue and beige interior and I love the way it looks
Is it expensive to maintain like if it breaks down r the parts expensive to repair it? I’m thinking on buying one
LOLman buttcheeks it’s not too bad! My dad and I do most repairs ourselves. 156k mikes and still runs and drives great! If you’re gonna buy one, spend the extra money and get one that is up on repairs :)
The E class is just below the C class!!!!! What???? Do you even know the line up of the brand you are reviewing?
whats the point of saying you'd have a BMW over a Merc without explaining why
Exactly
Mercedes actually helped Chrysler with the design of their cars before Chrysler almost went out of business so that's why you would see a coupe mercedes parts in the Chrysler. So technically speaking most of the Chrysler 300c you see is a German car but is American labeled
I bet 300 owners love to bring that up to their friends lol "my car is mostly a Benz" 🤣

Sweet ride. If you purchase a used one make sure you buy an extended warranty.
I would choose an E Class over any of its competiton. "Beste oder nichts"
Let’s goooo, I was thinking about looking this up! I’m in the market for a used one 😂
It has a 'Comfort' and a 'Standard' mode. The comfort mode starts you out in second gear, and shifts are sooner than in the standard mode. At one time, these used to be known as 'W" for winter, and 'S' for summer.
We have yet to drive the current crop of Mercedes products, it seems like they have greatly improved since this model
My favorite generation E Class.
I drive this thing like a Mclaren, this car is fast!
That's a nice looking E class still to this day~
What an annoying, irritating review. Possibly the worst car review ever seen from a highly rated car channel. Why did you bother reviewing this car if you were not interested in it? I think Redline owes this Benz a redo from a more impartial, interested reviewer.
Redline and carwow are always biased toward merc
For you mercedes always feel a big and luxuriously smooth and relax drive i probably proud of driving mercedes at the age of 16
By 2009, this car is feeling pretty dated. It's not the smoothest riding, quietest interior or fastest 0-60 among the same class competitor. What I liked most about W211 is the exterior styling, it's very elegant and eye popping, beats the slant eyes that most auto makers design nowaday.

Even this model was great, my dad used to have one of these in 320 cdi fully equipped, it was a really amazing car ^^.
if ur not familiar with mercedes why are you reviewing one? terrible review
This is old
NS Old but still on youtube.
I was going to write the same comment so thank you for doing it for me
@John Sluder "Not that good" is an understatement, apparently the e class is right below the c class, interesting lol.
That particular E350 does have the sport package. You can tell by the wheels and Green looking wood trim. The turn signal is a "Mercedes thing".
It's not below the C-class. I couldn't make it through the entire video.
he was referring to sales e class #2
Chrysler works with Mercedes. Some engines in the Chrysler models actually are made by Mercedes Benz.
I'd never buy a car from you.
Below the C Class? You don't know what you're talking about.
+andyscorner101 I believe he was referring to the sales numbers not the size of the vehicle.
he was talking about the sales. C class is #1 and E class #2 in sales.
My parents friend brought a used 2008 e350 in black. It broke down and needed a $1500 repair within 1 month. And it was a certified Mercedes Benz.
The turn signal stalk is an MB part that they shared with Chrysler a while back.
I have this car, the spare tire is in the trunk, you have to lift up both layers and the battery will also be there.

LOL he is NOT a Mercedes guy. It's not a 5 Series as he said 100000 times..
e class is nice, i'd probably still choose a 535i over it but its a good car for effortless commuting
Mercedes has been using that turn signal plus wiper indicators and the high beam switch in one stalk for over 30 years already.
great video! great test drive camera view. nothing to complain about
nice video, Thanks
keep up the good work
Mercedes 2008 had the 3.0 OM642 diesel my man. Like your reviews and your heavy foot driving style. Get uncomfortable when you talk sometimes you take your hands off the wheel! Stay safe.

i think mercedes helped chrysler build their cars so the key and turn signals comes from mercedes
correct
They did. Some chrysler 300's also used a Mercedes Benz built transmission.
Also the 2012 E-Class does have the new 60 degree V6 with 302 hp
Iridium Grey Metallic paint...please at least know the finish of the cars you are demonstrating...
I love this nav system over the new one
All of your car reviews are awesome!
You should not do this anymore. Please.
Nice video. Slightly subjective, but still good review and informative. Thanks.
I’m just waiting on my dad to give me his 🤣
I love the car but nav interface is not very user friendly. But now on the newer models you can get mbrace 2, and send direction request from your smart phone or computer to the nav. And be ready to go when get in the car. Great feature.

The Spare Tire is underneath that circular panel in the trunk. You didn't did deep enough!
Brandon Nichols do you always tell guys to dig DEEP?
How could you not automatically tell, at a glance, how much gas you had? Was confusing for you?
It took me a couple weeks to stop hitting my cruise control when using my blinker in my GLK350
Good Review Of 2008 Mercedes Benz E350. 😁
I would rather have a BMW as well if I desired to spend my days at the dealer having repairs done. Lack of knowledge for the segment. MB is waaaay more reliable than BMW and hold a better value.
In my case, AMG over M but I'd prefer normal BMW's over normal Merc's.
I have the C-Class C230 from this era of Mercedes. The C/S on my car per the quick view manual states Cold weather and Sport. The selection of C= car starts in 2nd gear from a stop for better traction? The S is just normal driving which I have the car in all the time.
Its for traction in the snow..
3:52, It shows how much times you've drove in a Benz.. all electronic seat controls are on door panel.............
Awesome and thank you...just got one... :)
...oh and by the way. It is the sport package!
Just as an FYI, that's not leather, that's MB-Tex. Leather E-Classes of that generation that ruffled leather on the door panels and a different pattern on the seats.
"Put the in-laws in". Lol that's a very specific situation but yeah these cars are really comfy and have that rock solid feeling you get from a Benz.
Well, I know the E-class didn't have that key in 1996. My parents had a 1996 w210 with the old switchblade style Huf key that's similar to what you seen in Volkswagens.
always like this CAR
Are the repairs expensive like everyone says
My mistake, our used car sticker said Flint Gray and its a bit hard to tell the difference between the two on a computer screen.
The spare tire is missing on this car it's supposed to be where you guessed it would be. Also that is not a leather interior it's MB-Tex.
Haha, check out :8:00 on, he talking about how smooth a luxury car it is and the camera is shaking all over the place.
Classs C is below Class E and not above it...Good review though!
My cousin used to have a E63 AMG.......omg its fast, and awesome
This car was when merc was on their best the new e class is smaller and tighter on the inside. all the trims have black dashboard on the new e class lots of cost cutting nowadays
this is the sport model. The luxury package makes the exhaust not seen from the rear.
Can you please tell me what type of Bluetooth cradle is in this car? I just bought the same model but the cradle is not in the car
You need to purchase it
Not sure if you go back and read comments but you did the MB E CLASS a disservice in your “review” 🤨
I'm not sure car reviews are your forte. Perhaps restricting yourself to BMW or Cryzler (have they ever built a decent vehicle?) would be more to your taste and easier for viewers to tolerate. Either way, whatever you review, you really do need to do some research first to understand better what goes on...
Can you try and get a review of the c class
3:35 that is the booth tooth ?
Does this MB E350 have Airmatic Suspension Strut? Thanks
I would get this over the BMW and Lexus. Id chose between this, Infiniti, and Audi.
What is that metal thing on the top of the engine? I've noticed alot of Mercedes have that. 6:22
Could you do a review on the Dodge Journey?
how come my friends 2007 clk 350 comes with a 6 speed?
spare wheel is under the second cover.
This is the Avantgarde model - sport lines etc. I have it that's why I know.
Plebian c class.
See you finally talk about the Chrysler parts sharing.
That was way b4 this car came out. And Mercedes didn’t use chrysler parts its the other way around
go back to bmw .that car it s not for you
i would waaayyyy rather the 5 series or the a6
