My husband and I take the kids to Disneyland yearly and we happen to rent this exact same model and color. Oh boy! Let me tell you, we immediately fell in love! We are actually on a hunt for a Full Size SUV and this suv is on our list!
MP get something more luxurious like a Yukon Denali or an Escalade. I own the Yukon Denali and I was gonna get the Escalade but I liked the Denali more because of the exterior. Anyway, just check out the Escalade or the Yukon Denali!
i dont like how he keeps down talking the tahoe and praising the yukon and escalade. the review was suppose to be about what u get from a tahoe ltz, not what it doesnt have and how much better the other trucks are. only real chevy fans will understand how great this tahoe really is.
Agree 100%. I like the Chevy styling better than the GMC or Escalade, I think both are in your face a little more than necessary with the odd looking GMC headlights ruining an otherwise nice looking vehicle. Totally disagree that the 5.3 is lacking in power, I have two of the 5.3's (Silverado and Suburban) and am kind of a gear head (don't like sluggish vehicles), I think the 5.3 has more than enough power, even when towing a loaded (large) trailer. Apple this, Carplay that... in these reviews it's important to give equal time to android auto, or if you're not capable of that, don't do reviews. And the comparason with the much more expensive and smaller Mercedes, don't even go there. Flooring it after every stop... really? Throttle response of GM vehicles is a little lazy to help people like this drive responsibly & help save them from themselves in the MPG category, no wonder he gets 14 MPG. You put a couple hundred thousand miles on these GMs with the 5.3 and you learn how to modulate the throttle & that throttle lag, which is obvious at first, goes away & you don't notice it. Anyway, some good points here but overall > fail. Will avoid redline reviews going forward.
Thanks for the updates on the Tahoe LTZ. I will be purchasing one this weekend. I've tested all 3 of GM'S big boy SUV'S. I feel personally my money will go a little further with the Tahoe. Keep up the good work REDLINE.
had one of these for a rental just last week for a week. I Loved it!! I'm a Cadillac guy (sedan never owned an escalade) but this is a very nice truck at ltZ trim
I've rented one from a rental car recently and I have to admit; I've never owned a large SUV ,but this was better than I thought..I love the Bose centerpoint sound system (that bass was very strong without having to turn it up), ride quality was smooth on the highway, and that V8 power was awesome... faster than my 97 BMW 740il.. gas mileage was no problem... my old BMW gets about the same mpg except this SUV doesn't need premium gas..I can imagine how faster the escalade & Yukon are with the higher output V8...I'm thinking of buying one, but to choose the Yukon or escalade just because I love performance
10:17 I actually find it easy to make a u-turn with the Tahoe. My Audi A4 is much smaller but the turning radius is quite big compared to the much bigger and bulkier Tahoe.
bokkey45 yes, i was naming brands, not whole comapines, i dont judge a whole company when i judge a car, i judge that car and brand. like cadillac, buick, GMC, all different brands, same company. :)
Why this guy keeps comparing Denali options with Tahoe? Denali is a different pricing level... Yukon and Tahoe have exactly the same options... Again Denali is a different story with more options, better engine and gearbox
First off, I appreciate all the information and the comparisons in the review. It's good to know what higher priced models bring to the table. One small thing about the review, what is the deal with that rattle? I just bought a Tahoe two days ago and I think the rattle in the review makes the car sound bad. The Tahoe is a very impressive vehicle. I bought it for the look and options, especially the Magnetic Control Suspension, which is standard on the highest LTZ models. Huge difference between the sway on my previous vehicle, a Suburban. Also, I can definitely feel the difference in pickup. That should be obvious because the Suburban is a bigger vehicle. Just the same, you never know until you drive one so I was pleased that pickup was significantly better. I am a gadget guy so all the options are cool, plus, I've got bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage for five years. The Heads Up Display (HUD) shows the dashboard on the windshield. Fantastic! The seats are cooled, another great option, especially for steamy summers in Wisconsin. The safety features are a bit mind boggling for someone who hasn't experienced them before. For instance, the steering wheel actually turns the vehicle back into the lane when the vehicle strays. That's awesome, if a little scary. I'll get used to it. And, the vehicle automatically brakes if there's an approaching obstacle and you aren't paying attention. Again, a little freaky, but I'll get used to it. Also, in both cases, the seat pulses, or vibrates, to snap you out of a stupor. Sound system is great. My android phone adapts to the system with ease. Seats, very comfortable. Extra: There's a hidden storage compartment in the dashboard that opens up with a push of the button! In summary, I like the look inside and out, very comfortable ride, and because the vehicle is one-sixth shorter than my Suburban, it's maneuverability and parking are greatly enhanced. I haven't read a bad thing from Tahoe owners and I can see why.
I wonder the same thing about the camera rattle… magnetic suspension must be very stable and cloud like maneuverability-riding I suppose. It’s my dream car. There’s a 2016 used one at $28,995 94k miles… is it a good deal? (Puerto Rico)
Thanks for the review... the gas pedal is a bit soft... if you will...as you have to push through it kind of to get the acceleration you are looking for. A smooth push on the pedal works well.
What do you recommend for an SUV but a bit smaller? We want something middle of the road but something after reviewing you feel is a really good one. Ford explorer? Mazda cx9? Or something else? Thanks in advance.
The 5.3L Engine is strong. Getting right at 20MPG combined which is fantastic for the weight of this vehicle. I have a 2018 F150 with the 3.5 Eco Boost and it gets the same 20MPG.
Do you experience any buffetting/vibration issue with theTahoe? There are so many forums and medias out there reporting these issues and GM has not yet been able to come up with a fix. The problem is widespread to 2015/2016 Yukon, Tahoe and its trucks.
The drop in RPM'S Going from 1st to 2nd nearly remind me of a 4 speed auto. Was steeper than I expected. Nice truck though. I'm a bigger fan of the previous gen styling wise. But it's undeniable that GM improves these trucks every new generation!
it would be great if u had a camera inside aiming the road maybe elbow rest position or a bit higher it gives the impression to the viewers like if they were actually inside the vehicle( while driving) thanks nice videos good job!
Out of the 3, Yukon, Escalade and this; I really prefer the looks of this big boy more than the others! I don't really see the point in spending more for a GMC or Caddy to get basically the same thing...
+Ndasuunye obviously ..dude this is the lower tier luxury compared to the upper tier "Yukon Denali & the highest tier "Escalade Platinum" Even the Suburban is the same as the tahoe Chevys are cheap regardless of the model u buy
Great review as always Sofyan! You never disappoint. All you need to do is show us the new GMC Sierra and then you will have reviewed all of GM's new trucks and truck based SUV's
Do you HAVE to use Carplay when you connect the phone via USB or can you exit it and still do things such as sending text messages while driving (yes, I realize this can be unsafe)?
Chi H I'd go SLT the SLE's are lacking some good features also most don't have a front center console and I think that ruins the look of the interior. But I think their all nice trucks just stay away from the Ford twins they give you a turbo 6 that's less powerful and get's the same EPA as an ESV Escalade I kid you not.
The Chevy iteration is the best selling model of the three is the best seller because Chevrolet trucks are traditionally the longest lasting most dependable truck sold. I've owned all three plus an H2 Hummer and the Chevy has by far the lowest long term cost of ownership coupled with bulletproof dependability.
Yeah, of course you would list the price of the most expensive Tahoe, totally ignoring that its base price is less than 48,000. Out of the Tahoe, Yukon, and Escalade, what do you think is less? Use common sense.
It doesn't matter. I know he's reviewed older cars before but that was like 2 years ago. Ever since, it's basically been new cars. It's not awful logic...I'm just stating what's been going on.
+Nathan Nan Hi Nathan, The S2000 is certainly on my list to film, finding a good condition one is not easy. I typically don't like to film used cars that are heavily modified. I prefer it to be as close to stock as possible. I know lately I've been filming new cars, but used cars are still on my radar, I'm just selective on which ones I'd like to feature on the channel. I take all your request seriously though, just be patient while I track down the good used cars :) -Sofyan
+Nathan Nan I'm not saying he should t review an S2000. Just proposing that maybe he hasn't because it's not readily available and he hasn't been uploading older cars recently. Don't know why you're getting defensive and I have no interest in attention. I wasn't attacking you or Honda/Acura. Just stating my thoughts but then I forgot this was TH-cam where opinions don't matter.
Heyy, I would gladly appreciate some help ! Im looking foward into buying a 2n gen Infiniti 35s/37s sedan 6mt or an 2nd/3rd gen Acura TSX as a first car... But the problem is idk which one is actually better for me. I want to keep the vehicle for the next 6-7 years and have harsh winters here in Quebec . I also want to be carefull with insurance costs yet still want to have a lot of fun with the car ! Any opinions/recommendations of any other vehicle ? Thank you very much! Btw, I have the same t-shirt as you Sofyan 😉
+Kevin Medeiros If insurance cost are a concern then don't buy any sports/performance cars. Insurance on those with you being a new driver will be through the roof.
+chipchip The video might've been out of sync with audio. Video makers use separate devices to record audio, since camera's built-in microphones are usually crap.
Please do a review on the 2015/2016 Ford Expedition (EL) You did talk about it a few times in this review. All of the other large family SUV's have been done but this one.
Very impressive SUV. It's actually my favorite trim level of the GM big triplet SUV's. I'm still not a fan of the column shifter. Perhaps a rotary shifter or push button system would be a better option.
how bad is it on gas? I love SUV's especially this one but gas is a big deal for me, does anyone have any suggestions on what SUV I can get with reasonable gas mileage?
First we had to deal with smarmy shop assistant types, whenever we had the gaul to step into whatever fancy shop they were working at, now they come straight into out living rooms to show us how unworthy we are. Service with a smile indeed.
+akuskus Because it's an American car and I'm in North America ,so logically I should get better price than in any other countries outside the North America.
Well, they're under the GM divisions and I believe they use the Yukon and Tahoe use the Silverado's chasis not sure about the Cadillac though. So yeah you can say they're pretty alike. Asthetics is where they differ.
Moaiz Shahzad Yukon is only similar until you get to Denali then it's a different truck it keeps that rugged look while adding Luxury the Escalade is a Bentley with a truck body looks amazing and has awesome features.
Bought a 2019 Tahoe Premier and it is identical to this 2016 LTZ. They changed the trim name to Premier in 2017. Our neighbors have a 2019 Denali and other than the bigger 6.2 engine their is no discernible difference in the interiors. Personally I like the more sport style of the Tahoe.
could someone clear this up for me, is the Tahoe related to the Suburban? they look alike and from what i hear the Tahoe is essentially just ashorter Suburban. feel free to correct me on this.

Me too I'm getting the 2015 Tahoe z71 edition :)
How’s it going with your Tahoes? Im planning on getting this exact model used.
had one of these for a rental just last week for a week. I Loved it!! I'm a Cadillac guy (sedan never owned an escalade) but this is a very nice truck at ltZ trim
I have the exact same truck got it used 40000 miles $40k so I'm loving it!!
Thinking about getting one the 1st if the year. Need credit score to go up 15 more points then to the dealership I go
this is the best review of the tahoe on TH-cam. Definitely one of the best SUVs out there.

an updated steering wheel can go a long way to make the interior look more premium..
LuBano premium is such a strong word
I agree, it's a little dated.
The side mirror blinkers could have been added to the side and the steering wheel updated. Plus the new shifter front the Silverado
Nothing wrong with the Steering wheel look IMO. It comes with a Heated Wheel Option and Leather wrapped.

The 6.2L V8 should be an option in LTZ trim.
GM want the 6.2L buyers for GMC and undoubtedly Cadillac Escalade fans.
+marc1093280 5.3L has plenty of power. Have one myself.
WRB Not to me. The 2015 GMC Yukon SLT was powerful when in second gear but not in first. It was sluggish but quiet especially when loaded down.
What rear axle ratio was it?
It was a standard ratio while our friend who has a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LT with matching ratios said the same.
The 5.3L Engine is strong. Getting right at 20MPG combined which is fantastic for the weight of this vehicle. I have a 2018 F150 with the 3.5 Eco Boost and it gets the same 20MPG.

does the 22s affect the driving dynamics negatively or positively?
The drop in RPM'S Going from 1st to 2nd nearly remind me of a 4 speed auto. Was steeper than I expected. Nice truck though. I'm a bigger fan of the previous gen styling wise. But it's undeniable that GM improves these trucks every new generation!
the first and second gens can last forever with the 350 v8 and the 4l60e
whats different from 2015 one? just apple play?
When you say the 22" wheels affect the quality. What do you mean towards better or worse?
+Perfect2257 worse, but because of GM's suspension tuning, it wouldn't affect ride quality much.
Worse because tire sizes get wider, which makes the ride quality more harsh.
the bigger the wheels the ride quality suffers, which also affects handling. i think 20's would be the sweet spot for this truck.
Great review. Very informative and I appreciate the comparisons.

Well I should say a Yukon XL SLE or a Suburban LT, cuz even with the base SLE is pretty well equipped
Chi H I'd go SLT the SLE's are lacking some good features also most don't have a front center console and I think that ruins the look of the interior. They're best selling because they're cheap.
Ummm, one of the Tahoe's on the showroom floor of a nearby Chevy dealership is stickered at 74k. You call that cheap?

The Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade are essentially the same vehicle right?
+BenderIsGreat Not even close
Well, they're under the GM divisions and I believe they use the Yukon and Tahoe use the Silverado's chasis not sure about the Cadillac though. So yeah you can say they're pretty alike. Asthetics is where they differ.
Tahoe and Yukon are the same I believe. The Escalade is a luxury SUV, hence it costs like $90k and the Tahoe and Yukon are basic entry-level SUV's.
Moaiz Shahzad Yukon is only similar until you get to Denali then it's a different truck it keeps that rugged look while adding Luxury the Escalade is a Bentley with a truck body looks amazing and has awesome features.
please do a review for a Lincoln mkt
Omg that 5.3 sounds like music to my ears
Are you going to review the 2015/2016 Ford F-150? Would love to see a review about it from you.
Can you review the GMC Sierra?
He just did months ago.
I'm ready for your 2016 Maxima Review.
Do the 2016 Honda Accord Touring that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
8:30 apple car ply
You should do a 2015 Lincoln Navigator, review. I'm curious to see how it stands against its competitors.
What did you expect the Tahoe to start out at logger $38,000. $470000 is like 40k less then the Escalade
Anyone here knows what music the video starts with? I love it
Great review!
what is the name of the song
could someone clear this up for me, is the Tahoe related to the Suburban? they look alike and from what i hear the Tahoe is essentially just ashorter Suburban. feel free to correct me on this.
They are "siblings". They are literally the same thing except the size. Also, Yukon is basically the same as well,it's just more luxurious.
Brian Zhu Tanks man.
+Brian Zhu denali is what is more luxurious only, which has a different price level, but the SLE and SLT are nowhere as good as the Tahoe.
Great review as usual!! What's the name of the song though lol?
Great review thank u 🙂
5:43 OHH MY GAAAWD IT'S SO SMALL I'M NOT GONNA GET MY GROCERIES IN TIME UH OH ONLY 5.3 LITERS

Great review.. but enough about how it’s different from a GMC and a Cadi.. just talk about what we get with an LTZ Tahoe
