I got Dark souls 3 as a present, and I went in thinking I was gonna easily breeze through the game and hear this piece in the first day.
4 hours later, I would be excited to finally pass the tutorial.

my favorite part of dark souls is when the dark soul shouts "its dark souling time!" and dark souls all over the place

when i started piano that's the first song i wanted to play, i quickly realized i couldn't 😭 so i learned a easier version of this song that was the first song i ever learned. And here i am 8 months later learning the original version :) I'm proud of my progress

I haven't played dark souls, but I love your arrangements, even for stuff I don't know! All your arrangements are so pianistic - even the stuff that must be *really* tough to arrange for piano.
How does your difficulty scale work, approximately? Where would classical standards like e.g. Fantasie Impromptu, Revolutionary etude or "Mazeppa" fit your scale?

My difficulty scaling is completely based on my own covers and nothing else. The more time I needed to create the new cover is being compared with older covers of mine, and if a song took extremely long to make even though it's not that long that it's ranked harder than if I could play it without needing to practicing it. Also, I'm only ranking the technical aspect, not the musical one. Some technically easy covers of mine were extremely hard to play to convey the right feelings, but still have a low difficulty ranking.
I never played Fantasie impromptu, but Revolutionary etude would be with my scaling around 7, and Mazeppa around 9.5. I played Mazeppa around 9 years ago and a few covers of mine are actually harder than that piece.
