I have a Pathfinder character who is that and is based on the concept of a cold dying star so this fits perfectly
I find that these "anxiety" songs are the most beautiful piano songs. It's peaceful in a way.
First, those are pieces, it's not sung (although arguably the original piece IS a song in this case, but here we only have a piano version so calling it a song is quite improper).
Second, I agree with you. Overall I find minor pieces much more beautiful than major pieces.

It's not very difficult to use "piece" and "song" accordingly, it barely requires any effort, just a bit of thought and respect for the music.
It's not that big of a deal either, and I won't criticize or blame someone for making the mistake, but just as much as it's not that big of a deal to use the wrong word, it's not that big of a deal to use the correct word too.
@@math9172 Typically I only every refer to piano "pieces" as such when it's classical music - or something that isn't a cover or directly associated with an actual song. This is twinkle twinkle little star, so like the original commenter, I would still call this a song. I'd call day one from interstellar a music piece, but I wouldn't call twinkle twinkle a piece. I just don't think it's really worth correcting, since most, if not all non-music people just call everything a song.

Feels like watching the entire universe being destroyed by time, and you’re watching it all from a remote place, unable to do anything. You’re left alone in an empty world where you’re the only star left.
This sounds like a sick background music to a tale about a villain's tragic life being told except the twist was that the villain is the one telling the tale to someone unkown the whole time
POV: You follow the stars (your dreams) like you've always did when you were a child, but then one day, you tried to reach for one of the stars (attempt to achieve one of your dreams), but a small miscalculation took place that caused the star to fall from the sky (a small mistake), and all the stars along the others and everything starts to fall crashing down on top of you one after another (a small mistake with an unexpectedly big consequence), crushing your dreams and destroying every little light of hope and joy you had in life creating a domino effect, leaving you with an dark empty voidal sky with the light of the shattered stars on the ground slowly fading away piece by piece as you struggle to gather as much as you can to make at least a small amount of light of hope and joy until they all fade out eventually, leaving you in pure darkness

It's basically about a dead loved one and how badly their death has affected those left behind. ("Dawn" refers to a potential bright future which didn't came)

Yeah, while it's the same song in essence, the reality is that once you flip a piece from major to minor or vice versa, it's really no longer the same song. But the improvisation is a welcome change for songs that are too well known and/or dull.

It's amazing how the whole tone of a simple and cheerful nursery song can change when you slow it down, add chords, and change it to minor. It's still recognizable but also so different, love it.

I actually like these versions much more than the originals. There's a level of softness in darker versions.
It's like someone who's burdened by the end of the world is singing a soft fight song to themselves to keep themselves going.
In short, I just added this to my comfort playlist lmao.

This doesn't induce any anxiety in me, this actually somehow calms me.
I can imagine a really beautiful woman who's cloaked in black, a black bail covering her face. Her voice sounds like that of an angel as she sings you to sleep, holding you in her arms like a mother and her child.

But she did not complain, for she could not stand seeing another child suffer on their deathbed, like *HE* did. This is such a cool song. I know everyone is giving interpretations of loss or grief, but I think it could easily be seen more as a yearning for the simplistic of childhoon and the happiness that children have when life is still magical. Once you get older, learn that everything is never simple: problems don't have 1 step solutions, society is filled with oppression, and correcting issues is either fought by the general populous out of fear of change or fear of losing power and eventually just lead to new problems because life.
Even when you're happy as an adult, there's always some worry drifting in the back of your mind that you're just choosing not do deal with at that moment. When your a child, you haven't developed the ability to multitask that way so the happiness you felt then was all consuming. I think so many of us subconsciously wish we could go back to that and many that fight to re-experience it, despite how unrealistic that feat is. Innocence once lost can never be regained and shouldn't be regained. There's a reason adults need to understand the nuance and grey areas that occupy so much of the world, but that doesn't make it easier to face.
To me this song is just representation of that regret of growing up and the longing for the simpler times of childhood. I think listening and feeling that regret is validating and oddly comforting, even if it only lasts until the end of the song.
This is what makes me feel calmness in darkness. It's perfect.

*EXPLANATION FOR THE LYRICS:*
Just to clarify the idea behind all this: it’s all a metaphor.
The hatred star is basically your will and desire being consumed by hatred after everyone left. So when I say that they’re gone, they’re not dead, but you’re dead to them.
So it’s not about a psycho teen or something pls

Oh yeah I thought I wrote that but apparently I did not so yeah: I honestly kinda struggled at first bc English is not my mother language but after thinking for some minutes the rest of it was easier. So if you wanna write lyrics don’t give up! Look up to others perspectives of that piece as well and think about what it represents TO YOU

In a book series I am writing, I have a character whose prophesied identity is known as Darkstar. Her arc uplifts her from a villain to a hero, only to fall back into her dark and desolate ways near the end of the fourth book. She loses herself and through losing herself she finds her final form so to speak. Her path is paved with betrayal and I could totally see her playing this song as she weaves her final devastating ploy.
The entire book series is a wip Astral Origins will be the series Forgotten Legacy is book one of the series.
I just know whatever villain this theme belongs to, has a very good reason to be that way

Basically these lyrics are trying to convey how a star (a person) has lost his faith and fading away. Soon it fades away without trying to hang on more and thinking it would lesser his pain but only if it knew that the light, the hope was on it's way. And lastly how it affected the things around him.
