    Nice video, nice simple set up you had there. Interesting to see the landscape in Sweden. A pleasant video to watch. Subscribed.

    Nice. I've been thinking about a getting a large net enclosure to take care of both the bivy and the kitchen/sitting area.

    Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to put the bedding down first, then hang the tarp over it?

      That is a good suggestion! Thanks for watching!

      Yes, but it's good habit to setup tarp first, in case of rain or early evening dew. Gotta protect ur down sleeping bag, at all costs, dampness = cold, and it's hard to dry ur down b4 u need it

    Does the mosquito net also keep out ticks? Beautiful location 😃.

      The net keeps out small gnats and I also think it also stops ticks. Luckily we dont have ticks in northern Lapland. Thanks for watching!

      Ticks are land-based crawlers, related to spiders, they crawl out to the tops of bushes etc extend their arms and wait to attach themselves to passing victims, crawl up and dig in the warm moist soft nether regions & suck our blood, sometimes transferring viruses like Lyme disease. Best def is permethrin treated clothing, but I would treat my ground cloth & bug bivvy too. Tyvek is nice, cuz white, easy to spot the lil buggers. Sawyer spray-on permethrin is good for 6 washings or 6 weeks, but there are other wash-in permethrin products that last longer, well not necessarily wash-in, but soak-in farm products

      @@pgoutdoorfishing4082 not so much, as ticks don't fly, they crawl out to the end of branches with legs extended, waiting to latch onto passing animals, crawl up into their nether regions & suck their blood. Best defense against ticks, is permethrin treated clothing, 1 foot of travel on said clothing is usually enough to kill ticks.

    請問先生:假如, 恕我冒昧 我说的是假如。有狂風大雨和蛇來拜訪,您將如何接待呢?Excuse me sir: if, if I take the liberty, I said if. How will you receive a visit from the wind, rain and snakes?

    • @pgoutdoorfishing4082
      @pgoutdoorfishing4082  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Snakes are not a problem in Sweden. The tarp will protect against rain and wind, but if you plan to spend a longer period in bad weather I recommend the 3x3m tarp or a tent. Thanks for watching.

      Lookup storm mode for tarps.
      Here in 🇨🇦 there are snakes, even poisonous rattlesnakes, but they're not really a concern, and they shake their rattle when they feel threatened, so are easily avoided. My bug bivvy has a 9" bathtub floor, snakes are of little concern for me

      I got my bug bivvy from Paria Outdoors (pr. Pah-ree-ah), it's a bit smaller, but the 9" bathtub floors are awesome, and prevent ticks & other ground-based creepy crawlies from getting under ur bug net
