I appreciate this guide so much. Was able to get my Wii U modded relatively painlessly (For the most part) and have been enjoying a lot of the games I missed out on. I had been wanting to get the vwii hooked up as well with this guide, buuut...Had an issue though. I followed the steps right up until I got to opening up the Homebrew Browser. However, that is where I am stuck at right now since, whenever I do, I get a 'Read error -6' when it tries to Request the Repositories list. Did I screw up somewhere?
If anyone is having issues with apps like Wiiflow or USB Card Loader GX, on the back of the Wii U system, if you’re using a usb stick try the port furthest away from the edge and go into either mode and check there is a SD card mode or for Wiiflow, check the settings menu and look for the SD launch only option and make sure that’s off, you should be able to see your usb stick in the source menu now, had the same issue which frustrated me to no end, USB Loader is hit or miss when mounting other devices like usb stick if it doesn’t install or recognise other partitions even when you format your usb device correctly, if anyone has any tips for USB Loader reading usb stick, 32GB without having to disable SD card mode every time would be appreciated 😁

I’m confused though. I followed your guide, and have a 512gb sd card and 1tb usb drive, the latter of which I formatted by the Wii U per your instructions, while the SD is FAT32. Now that I’ve formatted the hard drive to wbfs on the Wii, can I still put games on it without always dumping from disc? You mentioned I can’t connect it to my PC now… so how do I get games onto it without dumping from all my discs? I am pretty sure there are wbfs mounters for PC that I used to use on my old Wii. Can I get games onto the wbfs formatted 1tb drive this way? If so, can the hard drive only be used for Wii U software (eg not vwii software too), since it’s wbfs formatted? Heya, so I've tried out this guide on my Wii U and I'm not the most expreinced with modding (The only mod I've ever installed for my vWii is CTGP-R). First, I downloaded homebrew launcher and followed all the steps accurately accept when i got to d2x Custom IOS and was installing one of the wads it said there was a script error or something along the lines of that at a certain code line which i think was around 60-70 ( 21:33 )? I don't know what it meant but the console said that the wad installed successfully. However when I opened a channel for a mkwii mod (Retro Rewind) i was shown with an error which read "EXECPTION (DSI) OCCURRED" with "CODE DUMP" information at the bottom with a whole bunch off numbers. I did some research I tried opening the mkwii mod through Riivolution by installing it but trying to open Riivolution on the homebrew channel results with the same error. I'm planning on backing up what I have on my SD card and formatting it to start starting over to hopefully avoid this error. Sorry if this is a lot to read but i figure explaining it fully will help figure out any solutions that could be an easier fix then staring over. Thank u for reading!
I need help, I have the “please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card” issue, even though it’s formatted, but I used my psp as an sd to usb Card Adapter since I don’t have one, could that be the reason it doesn’t work? Or is it something else?
Great video!!! I just have one thing to ask you, can you do a tutorial to add cheats to Nintendont? I tried to figure it out but I just can’t. Great video as always!
I have kept getting the "Please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card." screen. I tried blowing in the slot, formatting it again, yet it still doesn't work. I'm using a MicroSD card to SD card adapter, by the way.
Great tutorial! Thank you so much! One question is that since I finished installing homebrew on wii u and vwii, can I remove the SD card in the console or should I keep it in their?
if you plan on backing up your mlc, I recommend doing it before bed because omfg, it took like 6 hours. Edit:It looks like mlc took up more than 32Gb as there is no space left on the drive. Maybe just skip it.
Yo scott! I have seen your newer homebrew guide, and i just want to know, is this outdated? I feel like your new guide is a better way, but I also want the homebrew launcher. Thanks!
Do you have to have a flash drive with a compatible, SD card slot into it? Can’t you just use the SD card by itself to do the hacking process installation? My laptop has an sd card slot and im just wondering if I could just do it like that
That like button is lonely up above, maybe you could click it? 🥺👉👈

Quick question, do i need to have 2 separate storage devices (one for wiiU things and one for vWii) or can i put everything on just one?
You can put everything in one
@@check-your-mailbox i thought in the video he said that vWii wont recognize a hard drive formatted for the wii u?
@@stephenisaacson2593 I thought you meant the sd card, but yeah, you need 2 separate drives
Great vid💯
I have a question: In what format and cluster size is it recommended to format a PenDrive or Flash Memory to use them in the vWII USB Loaders?
Help Me Please 🥺

@funkyscott47 can i use a higher storage for the wii u or is 32gb the biggest storage capacity? UHS SDHC cards won't work right?
I just got a Wii u and this is very needed 😂
I need help, I have the “please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card” issue, even though it’s formatted, but I used my psp as an sd to usb Card Adapter since I don’t have one, could that be the reason it doesn’t work? Or is it something else?
Great video!!! I just have one thing to ask you, can you do a tutorial to add cheats to Nintendont? I tried to figure it out but I just can’t. Great video as always!
i just modded my wii u like a week ago and now you make this
Awe dang :( I recorded it 2 weeks ago but took so long to edit 😅
I have kept getting the "Please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card." screen.
I tried blowing in the slot, formatting it again, yet it still doesn't work.
I'm using a MicroSD card to SD card adapter, by the way.
What brand card is it? I always use Sandisk and they work great even with a micro sd adapter
@@protobuster12 I have an Infinitive microSDHC card adapter with a generic 32GB microSDHC card.
Actually, I think I need another adapter
did you found a way? bc i have the same problem
Great tutorial! Thank you so much! One question is that since I finished installing homebrew on wii u and vwii, can I remove the SD card in the console or should I keep it in their?
I was wondering the same thing last night.
if you plan on backing up your mlc, I recommend doing it before bed because omfg, it took like 6 hours.
My laptop has an sd card slot and im just wondering if I could just do it like that
I was asking the same
