I'm sitting her with my 8 year old granddaughter trying to explain to her the excitement of this circus that she will never ever experience. As i tell her you can see the excitement in her eyes as if she has been there or thinks we will be taking her one day, but i would never tell her that it is no more. She ask me if it was like Sesame Street or Disney on ice lol. I didn't talk bad of them because this is her era, but inside I was telling her that; noway was this like those shows. I was telling her how we use to hear that the circus was coming and that we would go to the area they were unloading so we could see the short parade of the elephants walking to the greatest show on earth. God I will miss this and I am 69 y/o. Not to many years did i not make it to the rail yard to see this train pull in or unload, it was the greatest choreography any where. Oh well!
The only one I’ve ever seen went though Erie,PA back in 2007. It had 75 cars best count. They were probably in Ohio before I got out of town so never saw it again.
I've searched high and low for a video of the full scale real Royal American carnival train but all i see is the scale model, has any one ever saw a video or 8mm of the real train?
