Video blew up again 6 years later. What do y'all think about the game? I give it a 10/10. The story, gameplay, music, and the lore is all great. I've heard some criticisms that there are a lot of genre shifts, (top down shooter, visual novel, hack and slash), but I think that's what gives it its charm
Solid 8/10. Combat is visually engaging, but it's shallow compared to Platinum's previous efforts like MGR. Difficulty scaling could do with some work (normal being too easy and hard being a brutal jump - a modest damage increase while retaining the enemies' speed of hard would be nice). Still a stunning game.
+Lagunaturbia Look for stage plays, extended script readings from jp voice actors, and I hope they will release something like "Grimoire Nier" but for Automata. And you can always just watch or play the game with original sound for a change. Btw I do not hate eng voices, I really liked how they tried to correctly express emotions and how they done pascal voice, its just that they changed main characters in some ways.

There are even equipment made to simulate semen and imitations of the gestational period. Google up 50 questions Yoko Taro answered. So yeah, androids can have sexual intercourse or at least simulate it.

I kinda knew they liked each other. 9S more obvious about it, but because they are trapped in a spiral of death. 2B having to kill 9S over and over again, she pushes her feelings aside, only letting them show when she is killed by A2 because 2B knows that it is the end for her then. I suspected 2B was hiding something during my first playthrough or route A bit after this quest 2B essentially tells 9S to drop it when he talks about the Executioner title, each made me realise that that was what she truly was.

I must've missed something while playing the game. SPOILERS I know about 2B being 2E, or whatever executioner designation. But, why kill 9S? What did he do wrong?
Th3Fizzle because his hacking skills are too advanced even for a Yorha unit. So the commander see him as a threat and ordered 2E to kill him whenever he's close to the truth.
Well, there's no indication that 2B knew that android before. Her identity is revealed only after 9S is asked to dig deeper into the memory at the end of the quest. Just because both of them are type-E models doesn't necessarily mean they know each other. I guess it's a matter of how they've been assigned to which teams. And we know that the main mission of 2B is to monitor 9S in each iteration of him. At other times, she would be assigned on missions with other Type B as we saw at the intro of the game. What's more, it doesn't make much sense to reveal to anyone one's identity as an assassin whose jobs is to kill fellow androids. I guess every Type E is disguised as some other model, which explains why even 9S in this incarnation never knew about this model before. Actually, I guess the significance of this quest is that it leads THIS 9S to find out about Type E (as he expresses his curiosity at the end of the quest), mostly likely by hacking into Bunker's database, and hence how he knows the truth about 2B.
Man I miss this game. I get into the game totally blind and it completely blew my mind (and my tearducts). I wish I can experience it like the first time :(

Its always funny that yorha has absolutely no prohibition on emotion and freedom of expression, if you notice from all the operators and even the rough units, they all have unique personality and barely any of the other units on yorha acts like 2b. So in a way 2b is probably known in yorha to be that stern "emotionless quirky unit"

If you listen closely to when he says it sounds like he's about to cry and he says "DON'T WORRY I'm going to kill you now" and not "I'm going to kill you now". Nines doesn't want to kill 2B he just wants to put her out of her misery ESPECIALLY after learning about the truth
While replicant is a prequel to automata, its not necessary to play replicant, since the timegap between the 2 games are soo far apart (like thousands of years apart). But both are good, so might as well get both i guess
I'd say def get Automata, I think it's a great startoff point. Plus- haven't played replicant yet but I'd still recommend it😂whichever game u get first, enjoy it!
Both are very much worth playing. I'd say Automata is the better, more polished game overal, but Replicant's characters and soundtrack are just as good, would highly recommend both.

They were right, the english dub completely changes the personality of these two. Sadly the subtitles are for the english version as well.

While replicant is a prequel to automata, its not necessary to play replicant, since the timegap between the 2 games are soo far apart (like thousands of years apart). But both are good, so might as well get both i guess
I'd say def get Automata, I think it's a great startoff point. Plus- haven't played replicant yet but I'd still recommend it😂whichever game u get first, enjoy it!
Both are very much worth playing.
I'd say Automata is the better, more polished game overal, but Replicant's characters and soundtrack are just as good, would highly recommend both.

You don't really get an option, you're kinda forced into it depending on the game's chapter. Route A is 2B, Route B is 9S, and then a mix from there.
