Im guessing the reason why the tomica sihouette car doesnt have suspension is typically group 5 cars usually have really stiff suspension since they race mostly on smooth racetracks. I guess tomica was just going for more authenticity with the model by mimicing this stiff suspension with no suspension on the model. Nice vid and cheers!
The Hot Wheels Skyline Silhouette looks good, until you see the Tomica version. So i'd say Tomica is the better casting overall when it comes to the smaller details. Trouble is, it's much easier to get the Hot Wheels version than the Tomica one now. Thanks for the detailed comparison.
À little bit of trivia ; Hot Wheels reproduced the 85’ Championship Version when Tomica reproduced the 86’ Version ; the main difference can be seen on the front ; the 86 version has switched to the ´Iron mask’ front grill, as did the road version of the Skyline R30 Coupé 😉 Coming back to diecast, I have the Tomica version and absolutely love it but the HW version looks very cool!😉
The main reason why hot wheels didn't put the Tomica decals sponsor in there model is because... well it's Tomica, and they didn't want to put a Tomica badge on there Hot Wheels and let's expect that there competitor Tomy wouldn't allow Matel a chance of putting there badge on there Hot Wheels for legal reason. also the Hot Wheels model is the Skyline R31Super Silhouette while the Tomica is the Skyline R30 Super Silhouette, they both look identical but they are different model
Hot wheels didnt make their own version, this super silhouette r30 was modeled after the r30 Paul Newman edition which Nissan made in honor of him to promote the r30 series. While the Tomica one is based on a real racing car, the hot wheels version was also based a real car.
Bro, do the Hot Wheels and the Tomica Premium Subaru Impreza WRX STi 22b comparison. PS: Drifter is the only Chanel that i watch the ad to help my Bro to buy more cars, for himself and for the chanel
The tomica is to much detailed and based on the car that the car has a sponsor called "tomica" that tomica made a lot of versions of that car the tomytec, tomica mainline, and the premium.
Damb boy he thicc
my thoughts exactly on both these cars especially the Hot Wheels. Ive never seen rear images of the silhouette before 😂
Dhaaaeeemmmmm
@@kuzuma. The Tomica premium is the R31.
@@DrifterD R30&R31.
Tomica have plastic tires, but better looking than hotwheels's rubber tires.

The Hot Wheels version IS based on a real car. Try searching “Paul Newman Silhouette commercial” on youtube
And the fact that tomica is unscalpable adds one more point to why it is vastly better than the hot wheels skyline silhouette :v

No question about it, Tomica definitely takes the cake.
Nothing to compare, Tomica wins.

Both did a fanastic job tho
The tomica version looks really nice.
One is much more of a toy (you can still collect them) whilst the other is more intended towards being a collector model.
I love the skyline, both did a great job. Hot wheels had better wheels bu tomica looked nicer! I will always love tomica suspension!
Damn, who would've thought that Tomica recreated the Skyline perfectly, a car that they directly sponsored back in the days.
Wow!GREAT comparison!I didn't expect this!👌👍
both are Good in their own ways...
Is that black thingy on the table from daiso
I agree both brands did GREAT job!!!
They are both very cool, but we like the Hot Wheels more😉

T.P Super Silhouette is more realistic

The HW version has full rollcage

The tomica is smaller because it use 1/67 scale

The hot wheels version is based on this:

That tomica ain't 1:64
This guy knows nuts.
They removed tomica cuz they're rivals
Probably not on purpose much because.... It's also used in a commercial in Japan starting the late Paul Newman
that joke would have been funny if u weren't 15 years old lol
1st
Hot wheels because it has a metal base
thats one ugly car let me tell ya
