Hot wheels used the Nismo S-Tune model for all their R34s while tomica premium decided to use the base model R34, but the updated base model since it's a V-Spec II Nür (2002)
And tomica Premium also released the Nismo Z-Tune model separate from the V-Spec II Nür

The rim on tomica r34 has the exact rim on the real car , the real car is skinner , tomica cares about realistic , hotwheels , yeah we all know
I guess there's also another reason. All the Hot Wheels designs are made so that can be played with, and withstand intense play wear.
I personally like the Hot Wheels version more, since it looks a bit more Custom and Aftermarket.

Hotwheels skewer the proportions of the cars since it looks better that way when downscaled.
Tbrough out the entire video I prefered looking at the Hotwheels version of the R34 than the Tomica version since it is smoother than the eyes as a whole, inspite having inferior detail.
But they are two different specs of r34, if you buy the tomica ztune version the comparison will be a lot more accurate...still good vid

I think hw like tuned GTR. Because the spoiler is so big and the tyre is wide. I prefer the tomica cause i love stock GTR.

In terms of fierceness, hotwheels takes the cake! Tomica takes the piece for being realistic. Some factor to add in, the tomica retails at 15 dollar actually but it is usually often seen discounted to 10.90 SGD to the point that you might as well say it’s 10.90SGD 😂 Additonally, finding the hotwheels R34 is much harder as compared to the Tomica version but this applies for countries outside USA that sells tomica

I really love both versions but the Tomica version is way easier to find than a Hot Wheels version. I love the Z-Tune more than the V-Spec II Nur

The Tomica spoiler looks much nicer, but I like the HW one more, since it's a FF themed car, so it makes sense for it to have a huge spoiler.
Fits with the theme of the car.
Personally speaking, I like the Hot Wheels R34 a lot more too. I love the overall shape of the car, the front is nicely detailed, and the paint is better as well.
I really like the Tomica cars, but for me they really underwhelmed with this casting. It looks ugly imo.
Tomica takes the design straight out of a stock, "from factory" car designs while the r34 takes more of a modified flamboyant design. hotwheels are like someone on their teen life where they like almost every kind of designs and cars while the tomicas are like those middle age and grown up man that likes something classy looking
By the way, I saw a Real Stock bayside blue Skyline GT-R R34 here in Brazil. For a guy who passed the childhood and teenage years playng Gran Turismo 2, and NFS Underground (specially the Underground 2), its like you see you favorite rock star or artist ever!

The Hot wheels R34 they use the Z Tune Body kits, While the Tomica they made 2 version of it.
The V Spec Nur II with the stock irl actual factory wheels and the Z Tune with a 5 spoke Nismo Enkie wheels.
The irl Casted wheel only put in the Premium and Classic Premium of Tomica.
There are z tune tomica gtr r34 version which is the same body kit of the r34 hot wheelss you review

I’d like to get the HW version, I don’t like the front lights tho because there is something only on the front and on the top,sides nothing. You know the lights are like a box shape. I have to Tomica and it’s pretty👍 even the Greenlight one doesn’t have the Skyline written on the back.
Ive yet to get my hands on the Greenlight version but well, I personally like the Hot wheels version the best! So far, at least 🤔
I Don't own Tomica's version of the Skyline, however, I do own Johnny Lightning's version, from their Import Heat series, which is more comparable to Hot Wheels version, minus the real rubber tires.
From Greenlight's Tokyo Torque series, which I also own, may be more comparable with Tomica's, being slightly smaller in scale, with an opening hood, clear plastic for the headlights, and having real rubber tires.
It would be interesting to compare all, and thanks for these comparisons that you have made.

Both Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 models are identical.... what they differed are these models are based on the stock form from Tomica Premium and slightly modified from HW Premium on Fast and Furious line up. That's how it explains to it.... 😁
Tomica for more mature car enthusiast while hot wheels version for more oh wow gtr jdm car hype beast kind of car people. OEM is fine but a tuned engine with some rims and a few after market mods is even better, nothing too fancy

If I would simplify the comparison... the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from Tomica Premium and HW Premium are look the same except that Tomica version prefer on stock appearance while the HW version was on modified appearance because it's based on Fast & Furious series. 😄

I’ve seen a real r34 since I live in the Philippines and based on what I saw the tomica is more detailed but the r34 is a wide car so that’s what hot wheels a done right but I prefer tomica cause it looks stock unlike the hot wheels it has a large rear spoiler and a large front splitter

So, the Hot Wheels Skyline has a wider body, because he have the Nismo bodykit. Front bumper, hood, side skirts, and rear bumper. Its a awesome kit, the best body kit for the R34 GT-R (even better than the 2fast 2furious one), but if one day I get my hands on a real Skyline i will preffer the tottaly stock one

IMO, I think that HWs Skyline looks better. It looks more badass and the real riders are better than the suspension. Although, Tomica does have a better scale and it has better details! 👍

If you will compare the z-tune version and that blue r34 of hot wheels, I will pick the Tomica because they are focused on realistic tampos not like hot wheels which always put tampos in the wrong place 😒
At Walmart Canada Hotwheels are $1.50 and Tomica are around $8 each.

And i think Vspec Nűr is have 0-11,000rpm Tachometer. And 320km/h Speedometer. Compare to Normal 10,000/9,000rpm. 180km/h speedometer.

The tomica one is a V-spec skyline while the hotwheels one is the nismo Z-tune (actually based on it), I will all the way go for the hotwheels version because of two reasons, 1. It is a great casting made by hotwheels and 2. Its a nismo

hotwheels version is representation of paul walker gtr at fast and furious. Tomica metal molding is also more cleaner and refined. Me as collector of tomica premium, they have accurate weight representation! That skyline is accurate as it is lighter than supra and porsche 911 carrera rs. Hotwheels version have custom body kit so its wider and the wing is also custom fitted by paul walker so, making a comparison is a bit hard. Here in Indonedia, that goes for $30-$50, cheapest at around $15-$20, so here, thats not ideal. Basic summary is hotwheels is custom bodykit, rims, hoods etc, while tomica V-spec is a custom variation from nissan of the basic r34. Its like the mustang line , from Mustang eco boost, to GT350R. The v spec is like the gt350 line of mustang while the very top of the line is v-spec nismo(or maybe another nismo package but it have nismo badging)

take note even This comment is 3 years late. rubber tires will melt on plastic acrylics if room temperature is too hot. Also you might lose the tire details. recommended plastic wheels.
Hotwheels was design wide body for eye appealing and Wheel size huge. They did them since their existence till now.
