Here in the UK, Tarmac Works are roughly double the price of a Hot Wheels Premium which I think is justified when you do a comparison such as this video. What I don’t understand is the hype and resale prices of HW- why would you pay £50/60/70 upwards when you can get a better, more detailed and accurate version from a premium manufacturer like Tarmac, Inno64 etc?! Anyway nice video my man 👊🏼
@@oliverjones6687 I highly recommend greenlight if you pick one up cheep ( there are some) I'm more into commercial / normal cars instead of the Hot wheels crazy ones so greenlight is great
Thanks for watching the video fam 🙏 You bring up a good point.. Hot Wheels are cheaper in retail but I understand in other countries, it’s impossible to find one fresh off the pegs so you have to buy them at resale. Then the value for money definitely is better getting the tarmac!
hotwheels car are getting lazier with each release they slap a couple of vynls to the car and overpriced it amd called it a new limited car when a collecter grade car is cheaper such a supra from tomica only going only for 5 - 10 $ but hw car going for around 10 - 30 dollar
indeed. Even when i saw the sillhoutte r35 ver from transport. Makes me realized HW is now only following the hype without having the matter of licensing. Slap them into one of our existing casting and sold em
Yes but they still sells well because most hotwheels collectors are not in the hobby for the cars but for how much they can resell the cars. Hotwheels are not about the hobby, it’s about the money and money trumps details and quality so yeah.
Everything mentioned in this comment thread is 100% facts. If it’s any consolation though, Hot Wheels are still the cheapest “Premium” cars out there. If I had $100, I could either get ten HW premiums at $10 each, or only 3 to 4 scale cars with that money.
I have an Fd3s Rx-7 yellow tarmac works and the detail is insane. But I like the hotwheels version better because I can mess around with it or customize it. But the tarmac version is so much more detailed
MiniGT, Poster Cars or cheaper Greenlight models would be better bet for you then if you prioritize too being able to toy with it and carry it around but still want it to look better than HW's all-age focus. Or you know, just bring the TW with it's box.
also got to factor that the tarmac version is a much recent release so getting the tarmac version should be easier in general since the team transport youll have to get it through online or a middle man and pay more, unless you get lucky at a old shop.
I like the hot wheels s15 because I understand what it is and isnt. Its a representation of the real car not an exact replica. Its a collectible toy and i like toys 😂. Plus in the US its cheaper then tarmac works 😅
I came to a conclusion, that if you like Tarmac Mini GT Inno and hate Hot Wheels, so just forget about Hot Wheels, it's not for you, cause you won't ever understand why people appreciate exactly this brand and not all these yesterday-appeared chinese brands. Just leave it alone and collect your majectic Tarmac, leave HW alone.
First of all, if you are a long time subscriber of him which i highly doubt, u would have known on how big of a hotwheels fan he is, from mainlines to premiums, he collects them all, so before u say he hate hotwheels, go and watch his old videos and judge them yourself Secondly, he did a whole video explaning why he decide to move on from hotwheels and just focusing on premiums line only and focusing on other brands that u called "china" that has better decals, more realistic, and just better worth for the price he is paying, is so funny that your biasness towards hotwheels that u dont appericate other brands that has better decals, im a huge fan of hotwheels, both mainlines and premiums and i agree on wht drifter said that the latter has better decals better livery than hotwheels. Lastly, he did not say hotwheels is all bad, he did point out that hotwheels is still the preferred choice of playing with it than tarmac, u have to remember, what u pay is what you get, in this case, hotwheels does a decent job at putting liveries in their cars, but compare it to other brands out there? Hotwheels doesnt hold a candle bro. Not just him, other big youtubers also agree on how detailed tarmac works are even lamley, so before you go ahead and hate this guy, learn how to understand and appericate other brands, hotwheels is not the only car brand that exist bro, so take it with a pinch of salt and appericate it. @@marcuz_tay Where i said or showed any hate? My comment wasn't even for him but for the zoomers in comments who just shouting that hw is sht. I understand all the minuses hw has, I'm not blind or stupid, but it also has pluses which are more important for me than any of tarmac pluses. Solid metal base, no unreliable tiny thin rubber-plastic elements, nice real riders wide wheels, prints, and i love how big for ex. Altezza is, so the scale isn't a problem if you like the car. For me it's the same with greenlight, the stuff is great but quite expensive if you're in the uk

Tarmac, my fav brand ☝
Do you have recommendations on tarmac cars which can roll? I have a few but none can roll.

Hotwheels are just a crap compared to the premium miniscale details
Don’t forget you’re comparing a $7USD car to a $20USD+ car lol

The scaling for the HW is hideous
How? They aren't meant to be true to scale
