I think your going a little far when you say this has to be stockfish. Have you analyzed it? Hikaru made a lot of mistake man, and im sure he would admit that. It's possible it was stockfish, but highly unlikely.

And there were 47 total White moves, which means that nearly 64% of all his moves were perfect engine moves, including odd ones like 20. Ra2. That move just doesn't make sense from a human perspective because the g pawn is already double protected, and instead he could have developed his Knight. However, the point of Rc2 becomes apparent five moves later when White plays 25. Rc2, which is Stockfish's *second* recommendation. And then on move 37. Stockfish initially recommends Qxd6+, but at higher depth it finds 37. Qh6 which he does play! Lastly, he was banned for cheating.

He also played some of these moves you claimed stockfish found at a higher depth really really fast. EIther way he I'll agree there's a good chance he used an engine for some of the moves during this game. I would say the fact he was banned for cheating is a big determining factor though for me, which also means it's hard to know the player's true rating.

Definitely seems like he turned it on at some point, but was playing normally before then. Also keep in mind that the 2700 rating is likely the result of some degree of engine use in the past (likely won't be banned for 1 game of cheating; not enough data to confirm it).

2:06 Qf2 doesn't work because of Bh3. I noticed this immediately, and wasn't absolutely sure and used my computer and it turned out right. But when the computer analyzed it, it went through the process of considering Qf2 for a few seconds.

Very unlikely he cheated when you actually look at the game. It's possible he may have for some moves, but even that is highly unlikely if you're being realistic. Even Hikaru probably doesn't think the guy cheated if you were to actually ask him.
GMs usually know how humans play. and chess engines dont play like humans. their moves dont make much sense to humans. and GMs can notice unnatural moves

this doesn't seem like engine user at least not this game he was all over the place look to me hikaru had many ways to win but messed it up but what do i know
Very unlikely he cheated when you actually look at the game. It's possible he may have for some moves, but even that is highly unlikely if you're being realistic. Even Hikaru probably doesn't think the guy cheated if you were to actually ask him.

GMs usually know how humans play.
and chess engines dont play like humans.
their moves dont make much sense to humans.
and GMs can notice unnatural moves
@@spatrk6634 This is the old way of thinking. You should be more open to the idea that everyone today can learn from chess engines. This is a gift that older GMs didn't have when they were young, hence they will eventually loose time to time. In few years there will be no such thing like playing as chess engine or playing like a human
