小姐姐你好。After watching this video, I'm just completely speechless. Clearly, very clearly, your skills and talent extend beyond just carpentry. You must have been born in the Year of the Super Carpenter! There is not a single significant part of this canoe without your personal artistry and carpentry skill in it. It is a beautiful vessel and so thoughtfully and artfully crafted. I've seen a few of your videos by this time, and one of the many amazing aspects when watching your videos is how confident your every move and stroke is. I am 70 and have been doing woodwork for the past 20plus years, and yet i cannot claim to have the level of skill and confidence in the way you execute every move. So young and so advanced and matured in your skills. It's so inspiring just to watch any of your videos. You have a good production crew and the videos you post are one of the best on TH-cam --- regardless of the subject matter. Very professional and concise. Thank you for your presence on TH-cam. I, like many others, look forward to your next video. You have a new loyal subscriber/fan. 多谢谢你!👍👍👍👍👍
Hello. I am a 73 year old man who has enjoyed the woodworking hobby for ove 50 years. I must be honest and say I never anticipated seeing a young women with your skills and ability to make very entertaining videos. I am so happy to have been wrong and found your channel. You are very good and I am a permanent subscriber. Thank you, Stephen.
Thank you so much, Stephen! Your kind words mean a lot to me. It's truly inspiring to hear from someone with so much experience in woodworking. I'm so glad you enjoy the videos, and I’ll keep doing my best to create content that you’ll enjoy. Thanks for being a permanent subscriber!💖💖
I'm grateful for your efforts, my first time here., no loud egotistical voice over trying to sell you something. Words in our media are crafted, perfected and perpetual lies. Your country is so beautiful, your production is high end art. A highly successful butcher told me how to tell a good butcher. How clean are they? Your shop is very tidy, you have been taught well. It's nice to see the skills of our ancestors being passed on. Your parents must be very proud of you. I work with elderly trades people, I will be sharing your channel,

I love that it sounded like a powerful drum when you were banging the strips together. Only something so natural deserves to be on a river that pure! And I love the elegance of the seat and neck hold, as well as how the grain in the front/back curves come to a point like that. The effort to line that up...amazing work. I live in a desert area, so having a canoe like this is just something for dreams! So I'll watch you build and paddle it. 🛶
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed comment! I'm really glad you noticed the little details like the grain alignment and the sound of the wood. It's great to know that my work resonates with you, even from a desert area! I truly appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have your own canoe someday soon to enjoy the experience as much as I do.❤❤
Very nice canoe! It looks like you are using 1/2" cherry! I hope you can lift it when you are done. I love your paddle! It will be strong I think! I used to build canoes, but my company built them so nice, they would not sell! But they were beautiful; book-matched hulls! very difficult to keep the strips in order off the saw, a 1/16th inch saw blade to save cedar. I could see you smiling when you were waving that paddle around; made me smile, too! Always a good feeling when things come out like you wanted! Wow! Looks like it weighs about 35 or 40 pounds! success! It tracks beautifully! Elegant breast hooks! I've been woodworking for .... since I was 19& I am now 75; how much is that? I don't want to do the math, but Ive built about 120 canoes, including Old Town Canoes in Maine. Blessings!!Oh, yeah, liking& subscribing, obviously. I forgot to mention; we would make an inlayed bottom; took a long time, and didn't always turn out well. Your way of making a straight line is better; looks good, and takes 1\4 the time, too!!
Thank you so much for your generous support again, John! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and the canoe. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖Thanks for being such a great supporter!
❤❤❤ wow what a beautiful job, that's amazing You truly are challenges. Thank you for making another video. I can't wait for the next one. I watched him all two or three times❤❤❤

Good morning, That was an excellent video, as one commentor stated there were some thigs left out but if you hadn't the video would have lasted for days as I know because I build things. This is not a project for a beginner so with that being said the video was great. Building the canoe was hard enough without having to create the video also. We have something similar of a craft here in South Louisiana. It's called a Pirouge. But it's built and used for working. No where as beautiful or elegant as your canoe. I built a model of one for my Grandson I wish there would be a way for me to send you a picture of it. Like you I'm proud of it. By the way my Grandson is only 6. You are awesome. Keep building.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m really honored that you enjoyed the video. I completely agree, building the canoe was already a challenge, and making the video took a lot of effort as well! The Pirouge sounds fascinating, and it’s great to hear about similar craftsmanship in your area. It’s amazing that you built a model for your grandson - I’m sure he’ll treasure it. I also hope to see the model you made for your grandson on your channel. I’m looking forward to it! Thanks again for your support, and I’ll keep building💖
Beautiful canoe! It's always a pleasure when one of your videos comes out. And it looked like your paddling technique was getting better towards the end. 😁
That is a beautiful canoe and a beautiful video, I would like to rebuild the canoe, do you perhaps have a drawing of it and could I have a copy of it. Then I will make this for my children
Happy New Year! Enjoyed watching another masterfully done project and will anxiously wait for all your future projects. So fortunate I came across your channel. Best wishes for a healthy year.

I was wondering when that beautiful canoe would take center stage, been seen it for a few videos now. Damn that's a lot of skill and a lot of work. I personally think Kittens are a lot of fun, but I'm a dog guy. I don't know if that is black walnut wood but it looks amazing. I hope 2025 would be a great year for you and have a great new year's celebration been this the year of snake which I think represents wisdom, knowledge, intuition, creativity, and transformation all of them suits you. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Rodolfo! 😊 I’m really glad you’ve been following along with the canoe! Yes, it did take a lot of skill and work, but it was worth every bit of effort. my cats can cause a lot of trouble during work. But who can resist how cute they are? They sure know how to steal the spotlight! Thank you again for your kind words and support! 🙏
I always look forward to your videos. You have done it again by making another beautiful work of art that is functional. I really like your attention to detail and your artistic side. Please take very good care of yourself and I hope this new year is absolutely wonderful for you.

WOW excellent work it is beautiful but what happened to your fuzzy captain and the three crew members they missed the maiden voyage. were they sleeping someplace?
LOL~the furry captain hates water, and by the time the canoe was finished, the three crew members had successfully transformed into three trucks, so it was overloaded! 😂😁😁 As a result, they successfully missed the maiden voyage🐶😽😽😽
Hi James, I’ve thought about how to answer your question for a while. Learning woodworking is a long process. At first, I designed small items, but it was hard to find a factory to make them, so I started learning on my own. I watched videos online, read professional woodworking books, and visited other woodworking studios to gain experience. Once I mastered the basic skills, I began creating pieces with a bit more complexity. I believe the most important part of woodworking is practice and experimentation. Through practice, you improve your skills, and through experimentation, you come up with new ideas. Thanks for your question, I’m happy to share my journey❤

Is a "strip" canoe like strip poker?
Haha, not quite like strip poker! A "strip" canoe refers to the method of building it by layering thin strips of wood. Thanks for the fun question! 😄
My canoe is some of tough plastic for whitewater. I grew up in a fiberglass canoe my father built and then learned to sail it after he added a laten rigged sail to it. Later i graduated to an aluminum canoe and after camp school taught canoeing, rowing, sailing and the rest. After college I started whitewater rafting and learned whitewater canoeing. So it has been many decades since I had a thing to do with wood type canoes
