You've got a pretty decent result there. If you're not able to replicate the high spot I'd suggest t's due to an outside influence - maybe heating - sunlight on a blank while it was stood on the shaper for example - or maybe just a tiny bit of crud or a burr or - well, who knows. Steel does move a lot more than cast iron, but it doesn't (at least in my experience) do it arbitrarily - it has to be provoked.
@@wibblywobblyidiotvision I have deburred and cleaned them every time, I wouldn't look for it there. I did have the heater on! that could be a cause. but I have to be able to trust it. and I don't have that anymore
actually not yet. but I'm guessing you can tap it out with a piece of copper and a hammer. my machine is leaking oil there. I still have to work on it too

Good to see you back in the shed.
I'm also happy to be back
Well, it sure takes a lot of patience to get it right.
BTW, do you know how to remove the lower pivot for the rocker arm of the Hembrug shaper?

Just so you know, there are 2 minutes of black screen at the end of the video.
thanks for the report. I'll adjust it when I'm back at the PC. and find out where this error comes from.👍🏻
