    CHANNEL UPDATE:
    3 pieces of good news.
    1. The channel has reached 30,000 Subscribers. Thanks to each and every one of you for subscribing, liking, commenting and making some excellent suggestions.
    2. It looks like an agreement has been reached with TH-cam to have the channel re-monetized. This may not last long but it's a positive development for the channel's future.
    3. All of this means that I have this brand new video with Suzanne Ciani for you and many more coming soon.
    Thanks again for your support. Let me know what you'd like to see next.

      Maybe add a voice intro and text overlays during the audio so TH-cam considers it altered enough to keep the monetization

    Sometimes I feel like I should have been born in a different era. People these days are so full of anxiety and have no patience for anyting. Those days seem like they were a lot more laid-back and people were more comfortable in their own skin.

    • @oliviadartley470
      @oliviadartley470 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Old Soul people have anxiety today and people had anxiety then. it’s just that you don’t show the bad parts on camera :/ I understand what you’re saying, it’s just that films often make things seem more idealistic than they really are.

    • @oldsoul7792
      @oldsoul7792 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Creative Pear it's actually something Studies have shown that rates of depression and anxiety amongst people under the age of 40 has skyrocketed in the past few decades and large part due to social media and lack of genuine relationships, debt from college, not being able to find a job in their desired career path, an overall major rise in the cost of living set alongside what is basically a stagnant earning wage, amongst a plethora of other things people never had to deal with before. So I'm not disagreeing that all that stuff has been around for a while but the frequency at which you see it in people who probably should be happy and healthy at a young age are suffering from a lot of things they really shouldn't be going through.

    • @oliviadartley470
      @oliviadartley470 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@oldsoul7792 yeah, that's definitely true :) every generation, though, has had their own challenges. During the 70s and 80s, for example, there was this massive influx in serial killings... contributing to massive paranoia, and rightfully so. The Cold War was also in full swing, and so was the AIDS epidemic, which also contributed to anti-LGBTQ sentiment. But I do see what you mean, today's generation does face many problems... but if you went back in time, you might just swap out one set of obstacles for another, sadly enough :(
