    Better than most intentional asmr. And here is why: they are speaking in a relaxed voice, not a whisper. Many asmr whispers are actually a harsh, loud whisper. That defeats the purpose. Even a soft whisper to me is no where near as relaxing as a soothing relaxed voice like we have here. Asmr artists should learn from this.

    • @minnevabuh3947

      It’s called “soft spoken asmr”. You just have to search for that instead of “whispering”

    • @madelaki
      @madelaki 4 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      @@headphonic8 you're right but even then a lot of asmrtists are anything but relaxed when they record those videos. the state of mind these girls are in is very distinct, I know it well. it's when you're calm and comfortable but also interested. asmrtists tend to be comfortable (since they usually record at their homes) but not calm or interested. and it makes a world of difference in the end result.

    EXPLANATION/CONTEXT: This video was at the 2013-14 Womens Chess Grand Prix which was a series of six tournaments spread across almost a year and a half. It was 18 women, invite-only, and the prize fund was worth over $400,000 USD altogether between the 6 legs. Maybe more importantly, the overall winner received immediate qualification to the 2016 Womens World Championship Final.
    What you're seeing in this video is basically a post-game review. It is not unheard of at an event of this level to be asked to talk through the key moments of your game for the cameras (in English), however I don't often see them look over it on the computer like this.
    In the first half of this video, we are at the 1st leg of 6 which was in Geneva, Switzerland. The woman on the right is the press secretary. The two ladies on the left are the players and this game they are reviewing ended in a draw. They are discussing the "Queens Gambit Declined - Ragozin Defense" and their thought process through some of the more critical moments. Their names are as follows: on the left is International-Master Batchimeg Tuvshintugs (of Mongolia). She was invited because each of the six organizers got to invite 1 player of their choice and Erdenet, Mongolia was one of the organizers. She finished 16th place overall in the Grand Prix and won about $15,000 along the way. In the middle is Grandmaster Tatiana Kosintseva (of Russia). She was invited in substitute of her elder sister Grandmaster Nadezdha Kosintseva who had to withdraw. Tatiana placed 10th overall and won about $20,000 along the way. If you like her voice and were wanting to hear more, there unfortunately isn't much more as this event was one of the final matches of her chess career, given that she stopped playing in 2015. By the way, the name of the woman on the right is International-Master Anastasiya Karlovich (Ukraine).
    The second half of this video cuts to a different day but was also at the Geneva, Switzerland leg of the six tournaments. IM Karlovich is again the press secretary on the right, GM Kosintseva is again seen in the middle. This time she had just played against one of the 5 strongest women of all time - Grandmaster Anna Muzychuk (representing Slovenia at the time although she is Ukranian) who is on the left in pink. It looks like the game started out in the "Ruy Lopez - Exchange Variation." GM Muzychuk won it. She ended up 4th overall, and won about $40,000 altogether. If you are looking for similar content, she still plays professionally as of 2021 and also she has a TH-cam channel and Twitch stream under her name. By the way, if you were still awake this late into the video and were wondering who the men are off-screen that are talking aloud during this 2nd half, I don't know who they are but they are asking about specific moves and ideas at a level that suggests they are very strong also. Maybe commentators (who are normally former strong players).
    Additional facts: GM Anna Muzychuk's younger sister Mariya Muzychuk didn't participate in this Grand Prix but she is also a Grandmaster and she became the 2015 Womens World Chess Champion (aged 22). In 2016, she had to try and defend her Championship title against the $70,000 winner of this 2013-14 Grand Prix -- that being Grandmaster and former 2x women's World Champion Hou Yifan (of China) who was just 16 when she first became world champion but was 22 years of age at the time of the 2016 Final. GM Hou Yifan won that championship as well and is today considered the 2nd strongest woman chess player ever, only behind Grandmaster Judit Polgar (of Hungary) who was invited to this 2013-14 Grand Prix but declined the invitation as she famously didn't like the concept of women-only tournaments.

    This is good, for "unintentional" ASMR, as they call it now. As a kid, back in the 1960s, I would have extreme ASMR experiences sometimes. I was describing them to my ex-wife yesterday. I didn't need any sounds at all. i would be in a grocery store usually, and see a certain person that I "identified" as a very calm person, looking at vegetables, or in some other section, looking at cereal boxes, or whatever. Usually they were not talking. In fact, as I recall, they were not talking at all. Just calmly making slow movements, sometimes. Then, I would get a peculiar feeling, often first, a sound, like I had gone into another world, and a tone, not a buzz, but a frequency in my ear. I think it is usually my right ear. This is followed by a rush of... some sort of nerve type feelings flowing through my body, and, I guess, going upwards. The scalp itching would follow, though I'm not sure if it was every time.
    I always thought the person was "radiating" some sort of energy that I was picking up, or something. So, often I would try to carefully move a little bit closer to the individual. I never said anything to them, just would sometimes try to get closer to feel the "calm" feelings more. It's not "calm" exactly, It's very hard to describe. But it feels quite good! :) I don't seem to get it so strongly anymore. I still do, just not like when I was much younger.
    People who think it's fake or scientists who are skeptical... doesn't bother me, I don't care. I've been experiencing it for about 50 years, or more. Don't need any scientific data to prove I have ASMR responses. I still don't quite know what ASMR means, though! HAHA

      @@glswenson I dug a little looking for info on the middle lady, Tatiana Kosintseva, because, well, I am a bit infatuated by such a person with such obvious brains and beauty. She and her sister were like the all-stars of the Russian Womens National Team, but suddenly in late 2012 there was some dispute and both of them left the team. It apparently was quite an upsetting thing in the world of chess. Tatiana, who is a 3 time European Woman's Chess Champion, shortly thereafter dropped mostly out of sight and apparently went back to her hometown of Arkhangelsk, Russia and there were mysterious hints that there was some kind of "dark" story behind all this. Anyone who has any further videos or inside information on her, I'd love to hear about it.. johnkirkham3@gmail.com.
