I'd love to take credit, but it's all about my man Sean. He is so good at telling the story.
That boat is sure no "dog", pond intended. The 50 did however not always be the top dog in the Leopard range, pond intended again: They must have just discontinued the build of the otherwise popular 58. Do you have any idea why? That is also a huge boat, further offering probably class leading flybridge, that dwarf even the flybridge on many motor yachts. Sea Dog is by the way a known nickname for seals, and even more so in other languages, as for instance the Spanish el perro del mar.
That a great question. The normal production run for a make/model is between 5-7 years depending on a number of factors. The 58 came out of production after 7 years or so of being built. It'll be interesting to see what Leopard announces this year as her replacement.
Great Vid Willey, I was talking to someone the other day about catamarans and they were saying the Leopards can be a bit of pig sometimes. 🤣 I said I will have this 1 any day lol...... But is there such a rumor about Leopards? Cheers Craig

I love the Grenadines. I used to run The Moorings base out of Canouan and then Grenada. The best part of the entire Caribbean in my opinion.
I enjoyed the look, a beautiful floating apartment but let's not pretend seven knots of boat speed in fifteen knots of wind is good.
I sail a 44. They are dogs. And try sailing to windward lol. But once you arrive at the dock....perfection!
Just delivered one to Seychelles, last 2 days in 15 to 20k app at between 60 and 70 degree angle we had runs of 180nm they sail very nicely.

No, catamaran design has not changed 'Exponentially'. It is a normal change both in design, materials and wish lists. Nothing exponentially about that.
Clearly you do t know anything about older catamarans or you wouldn’t say something so stupid. Just go and check out 20-25 year old cats and look at the interior and external use of space. They have changed exponentially in that regard. They have far bigger cabins as well as more headroom throughout the whole interior of the yacht. I challenge you to find a catamaran that is 20 years plus and the same approximate dimensions as the leopard 50 that is anywhere the same inside or out. If you can I’ll apologise and if you can’t …….

@@catamarancentral I'm looking for a place now. Do you have any recommendations? It's our first time in USVI. We will be there 3 nights before we get on the boat. We met &beyond at the Annapolis boat show, actually we saw them on one of your videos so they got this charter from you.
This is our first time on a catamaran. If everything goes well we will be looking to purchase one.
