That is one incredible catamaran, and priced very reasonable, considering the quality of Privilege and the fact, that it has been refitted entirely twice already. The space of this boat is just incredible. Try to grasp this fun fact for you: This huge commodious luxury catamaran cost almost exactly the same as a brand new Amel 50 monohul. I like those Amels, probably the most attractive monohul, in my opinion, but this catamaran sure gives you more room and luxury. Not even comparable really.
Very nice review Wiley. Privilege Series 6 catamarans are indeed one of the most beautifully designed catamarans that possess a timeless beauty. Even though the catamaran is 13 years old, she still looks new and spotless
👏 Best walk through I have seen on youtube! Cant wait to start our 615 refit next month! Need to get someone to build me a bimini over the helm like this one has! Thanks for sharing!
I would recommend making it FLAT, with fiberglass, and to the dimensions you would need to be able to mount a bunch of solar panels (in other words, purchase the panels FIRST, then make the bimini to match).
Hey Wiley, Having a camera operator is a game-changer for your videos! Not having to handhold the camera while delivering your commentary makes it feel more natural, nicely done!
What a magnificent craft. Also Wiley, that was an extremely thorough walkthrough of the Privilege 615, and probably one of the best I've seen. The camera work too was brilliant.
I haven’t finished the video yet but I have to say I’m loving the new intro and production you’ve got going on. Great camera work to! It’s a big difference from before :)
It has a lot of space. It reminds me of Harry Potter. When they go to the quidditch World Cup. They walk up to the little tent. Go inside and it’s a mansion. Lol same with this boat. A lot of room on the inside. It’s like magic lol
Wiley, I haven’t seen you in a while, hoping everyone is doing well. Great job on an absolutely beautiful cat. A signature “ pano “ is a must for a Sharp’s video my friend.
I'd like to see more of the Yanmar section, access and serviceability. I think the greatest selling point, or not, is the engine compartments. On the 510 and 580, access and service points to the engines are superior. I would like to see how much thought went into this model, mirroring the same.
I simply cannot listen to you speak! I feel like our dog when a fire truck goes by & he throws his head back & howls. Now, that being said & before your feelings get hurt, I do love the detailed walk throughs & I enjoy them. Thank you for making them.
Wiley, knocked it out the park mate!! Best walk through ever - setting the bar my friend. Top, top quality - all concerned to be congratulated. Perhaps the best turned out 615 ever - love that (wrap?) colour scheme. Would only swap out the davits for the additional room of the rear deck space - says he with the lego version money! Best of luck to you and the Mrs with your new business - you deserve it. Quick question: how intrusive is the engine noise in the cabins? Overnight motoring an issue re sleep?? Cheers, Phil.
Wiley, good job on the video. This looks like a very nice cat but the main salon seems tiny when compared to a Lagoon 620. Is that correct ? Second question, would this cat outperform a well prepared Lagoon 620 under sail ?
John, Great questions. With every new generation of catamaran design there tends to be more usable/livable space. The salon on the Lagoon 620 is larger than the salon on this boat. I would argue there is more storage in the P615 salon, but the reality is there is more than enough storage in either boat. I think the 615 would out sail the 620, especially in a heavy sea state/wind state.
Of course it is a beautiful vessel.... Problem---If you are an owner/operator you are isolated from everyone else on board while at the helm. So a captain and small crew would be required when family sailing for you to be involved with folks.
What's the point of the 400' of the oversized chain. Seems heavy and unnecessary. The catenary effect has been proven to not affect holding power so it's not helpful there. 100' of chain and the rest amsteel or comparable synthetic would have the same performance and chafe resistance if you didn't want to go full synthetic with synthetic chafe protector sleeves on the bottom.
Galley down you can't get thrown around. My opinion Kelly down is superior than Galley up Gally up is like sitting in the kitchen all day and it takes up too much space.
Mitchell, shoot me an email and I'll be more than happy to discuss the sailing performance on this boat. I've got a couple 1000 miles captaining privilege 615's.
Watch this boat blows away the 2022/58 I think privilege lost it today they need to go back to their old designs they look so much better inside and out.
The exterior of the older catamarans looks so much better than the new ones the new ones have that reverse bowel that is extremely ugly and has no traditional lines or is the older catamarans have the original bile that looks so much better I know the new ones may function better but they're ugly and too high out of the water.
Imo it’s outdated as far as looks go, that gives me a headache, plus I bet they want too much for it and considering it’s probably only a couple hundred thousand extra for a new one, might as well buy that instead.
That interior is terrible. Dining table looks totally uncomfortable in the round seating area is worse. One person sitting there wouldn't be comfortable multiple people you be jammed against each other. Contrast that with a modern 50 foot cat from almost any major manufacturer and it's night and day. Also the angled windows would make that place roast in the tropics. They could easily have squared off this area like it's in a Lagoon and make a ton more usable space. It's not like these boats go so fast that they need to be aerodynamic Was Wiley paid for this? I don't see much objectivity here
@@wmmikek that's you saying he's right but I just like his comment because I'm emotional. Nice to see you didn't disagree with the content of what I wrote.
To be clear, I am a yacht broker and I get paid selling catamarans. I also used to captain a Privilege 615, and have sailed them quite a bit. They are in my top 10 catamarans of all times.
Best vessel presenter I have ever seen! Calm, confident, professional, with a clear voice! The boat isn't half bad either!
Thanks Debbie. Appreciate the kind words.
OMG, my software biz just can't grow fast enough! Love it. Thank you!
Take it to the moon!

The difference between Wiley boat reviews and most others is that......Wiley really does know his stuff and is a pleasure to listen to.
Thanks Phil. I really do love what I do.
Oh one can only dream of a Catamaran of this caliber. ❤️
I really hope I'll own a Privilege one day.
I've waited 5 years for a Wiley tour without a "pano", lol! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Wiley, GREAT tour of the boat. You have such a natural delivery and full of knowledge, thanks for sharing it all with us.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow, i've never seen this many features on a cat like this... beautiful!
She is a unique/special boat.

I've always loved Privilege catamarans. Absolutely amazing boats.

What are your insurance costs today? What's your annual maintenance on a 29 ton vessel? How much to hull out an bottom paint?

Sean W. for the win.

That was a great walk through. What a vessel?!
I agree. I've always had a soft spot for the Privileges.
That was a very cool walkthrough! Great explanation. And visuals. We loved it!
I'm glad you loved it.

Great video Wiley! As always!
Thanks Dan. This one was one of the more fun shoots we've done.
Great job on the tour man!
Thanks!
Epic boat Wiley! I like your new intro as well, much better than at your last job :-)
Thanks Bill. We had a lot of fun making this one.
Good job Wiley!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Nice job, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!

This makes me once again relaize how prevlidged, 😉, it is to own such a fantastic boat such as this..
It really is!
Excellent video and quality information. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like this one. It looks like a pirate magnet though At any rate, I’ll buy it as soon as the lawyer wins my big settlement
We didn't show the anti-piracy measures...
Love this boat! Definitely up to #1 on my list.
Whats holding you back ;)

They run this boat with a full-time crew of two.
Mr Wiley are you from Baltimore originally or that area? The way you say home makes me think you are
Sunny Tampa, Florida. I've heard that I sound like I'm from Baltimore before.
Is there any way to fully enclose the Helm on the 615?
There sure is, and this particular boat has an enclosure.
show us round the "Bote"
That’s a nice boat! How much does it charter for?
She charters around $30,000 a week.
WILEY where’s the gunboat vid your sitting on 😎
I've got it held back for a rainy day ;)
Blue water means that the boat can circumnavigate the oceans and not have a problem. No cat can claim this unless the captain is extraordinary.
I know a lot of un-extrodanairy captains that have circumnavigated in catamarans and monohulls.
Beautiful, maybe a little heavy
Thats what my wife says about me as well ;)
Is the new owner interested in selling?

LOL. People always think I'm from Philly. Born and raised in Tampa, but have lived all over the world since the age of 18.

To order and built a new Privilege in this size range is somewhere between $3.5-$4.0m
Mmm. Can’t say it fits with my tastes even if I could afford it which I can’t..
Thats what I love about boat design. There is something out there for everyone.
