I made a Business Card that is overcomplicated

  • This business card was made just for fun. I wanted to do a project where I used several tools and machines to tie it all together into one project. The 3d printed Jet Fighter model is articulated, print-in-place and requires no support structures
    The filament used in this project was provided to me by Fiberlogy:
    fiberlogy.com/
    Machines used in this project:
    Creality Ender 3
    Anycubic Photon
    Silhouette Portrait 2
    JT-18 Vacuum Forming Machine

    The updated 3d printable Jet Fighter is available for download for free from one of these places:

    making everything: high tech printers and cutters
    putting it together: glue stick

    • @ryanbarker5217
      @ryanbarker5217 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      well, to be fair a silhouette cutter is a home hobby level machine and ender printers are very popular because they're cheap and you can build printing farms with them, so 'high tech' may be a stretch. now, that resin printer, that one is a top notch machine. but, yeah, i noticed the glue stick, too, and i'm wondering how well that plastic is going to stick over time.

      @@miepmiepzoefzoef Hi miepmiepzoefzoef. Business cards are amazing! I do say it's kinda annoying for super faces one's. but for the normal one's if I have my tech's go out. i have them staple a card to the workorder. this way I know the correct information is inputed to our systems. They are also super quick way to hand over info instead of sitting there struggling to put in someone name, phone, email, ect. I wish people used QR code's more on the cards to input them into your phone contact list.

      @@miepmiepzoefzoef You don't see a use for business cards anymore? I don't know where in the world you are, or what industry, but most places and industries still very much use business cards. They're still the best method for giving someone you contact details, especially if you're a long way off wanting them in your phone contacts or being "friends" online.
      And this is a great design! The toy and plastic cup can easily come off (and be given to that kid) and the cardboard part is now a functioning business card.
      If you're trying to make an impression with a business card, which you should be, this is amazing!

    • @agepbiz
      @agepbiz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      I use Simplify3D for most of my projects, no magic settings other than the usual for these models: 0.1mm layer height, slow speed (30mm/s), good quality filament with optimal print temperature (I suggest printing a temptower), no support structures. If parts fuse you might be overextruding, if so lower the flow rate. Yeah, the Ender 3 is a great machine for its price, it os one of my best machines when it comes to print quality

    BATEMAN: I can't believe that Price prefers McDermott's card to mine.
    PRICE: But wait. You ain't seen nothin' yet.
    He holds up his own card.
    PRICE: Raised lettering, pale nimbus white...
    BATEMAN (choking with anxiety): Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Owen's card.
    Price pulls a card from an inside coat pocket and holds it up for their inspection: "AGEPBIZ 3d modeling and prototyping”
    Bateman swallows, speechless. The sound in the room dies down and all we hear is a faint heartbeat as Bateman stares at the magnificent card.
    BATEMAN :Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark...
    His hand shaking, Bateman lifts up the card and stares at it
