A big element is missing in this discussion. Disagreeable men can be very attractive to women, because it shows strength, but a disagreeable woman is a huge turn off to the majority of men. I'm a man that ranks in the 98th percintile in agreeableness- which is way more than the average woman. One thing that has helped me be more "disagreeable" is being righteous about the things I do and the things I say. It doesn't hurt me anymore to disagree with someone because I've done my homework. I make it my business to expand my knowledge of psychology, human nature, and overall how the world works. In order for me to fulfill me wanting to be "nice" all the time, I have to be honest with others about the realities of the world. Just going ahead with what someone is dsaying or doing when I know it it wrong is daming us both to hell. I will no longer do that.

@@barbiebandeaux Yes it’s ok- even necessary- to disagree or speak up if you see something from a different point of view. But only if your “disagreement” has some substance behind it. It seems today that most people have strong opinions that cannot be backed up by statistics, evidence, or logic.

I’m 23 years old so is my husband I’m very high in agreeableness and my husband is very low in agreeableness 😭😂✨👌🏾
Been married over a decade and after some experience I realized that too much agreeability will ruin a marriage bc the man isn’t challenged enough to respect his partner. I’ve grown to be disagreeable in instances where I just know that the outcome isn’t favorable, times when my partner is being too overly ambitious or in areas where I am more knowledgeable. Disagreeable personalities can at times over estimate their abilities bc they are used to trail blazing especially when young.
In my opinion it’s all about balance with clarity and commonality of goals. Disagreeable people don’t respect where they aren’t challenged to be better. Some people take things too far though and for the sake of ego or emotions look the other way or argue just for the hell of it. Later down the line the relationship is far out in the sea and requires tons of energy to make it to shore.
When I got engaged a coworker told me that if I have any questions about women I can ask him for advice since he had been married SEVEN times by the age of 39, and then at least one other time in his 40's.
I might ask him who makes the best wedding cake, since he's had the opportunity to sample so many, but that's about it.

I’m going to start putting money in nursing homes and home health because there’s going to be a lot of single men with no caregivers. Most older married women in my family were nurturers to elderly husbands. My generation will be free of that burden.
Shift your paradigm; and eliminate all the unrealistic expectations about marriage and you'll do fine in yours. Some people get married too young or prematurely; they were immature and things were out of order intentionally & that was the problem during their marriage. We are not all monolithic.

Very simple solution y’all: just don’t get married.
It's definitely rare to find a woman who can turn that work mode off. Exes of mine who were the career business women tried bringing that mindset to me. One got so out of pocket with it that I had to remind her that I don't work for her. Others were just annoying at times. After those experiences, I look at the work a woman does a lot more. That will more or less determine how they act at home. I don't care about the unicorn cases of women who can flip it off with a switch.

I'm assuming you are a female. I'm not saying in all cases, but I woman will not be a sole provider in a relationship and still have respect for her man, she will cheat and eventually leave. A man on the other hand will gladly be the sole provider if he can, even if he can't, he generally wants to. He may cheat, but will not leave the woman and take the kids etc. Hence why aggressive masculine women is a bad idea for marriage. Plus courts are usually in favor of women when it comes to divorce and kids. Why do you think men have a much higher suicide rate
@@timelineg1 It still boils down to the two people in the relationship like TLA said. Every relationship is a case by case basis. Some men prefer traditional women and some men prefer career women. The relationship works if both people want the same thing. We can’t assume every man or even the majority wants the same type of woman.
