Plus they could go and rescue him, all they would need to do is find a package of pills in order to do so, many from the scientists lab. On the positive side if the time line isnt too far apart steve could probably find his dog, if he survives the war, maybe a bit more older, but who knows, all in all getting the girl just wasnt worth it to me

This film is so great and it feels like a lot of people trashing it have some sort of agenda behind their actions or it just somehow attracted a lot of completely impossible idiots. For example, in one scene a news anchor reports that a teen dissapeared after taking "bath salts", which is pretty normal for journalism. Who cares what new designer drug is there and what kind of name it has, just run the "bath salts" and move on. But in a review I've read a person complains that the movie "teased some sort of bath salts coverup and never follows up on it". Like...what? What coverup? And there are other complains of such nature. Complains about "sound editing" which was totally fine and all that stuff.

What does video doesn't show you is that Steve's friend reaches out to grab Steve's hands. Earlier in the movie they mentioned that all you need is to touch something in order to bring you back. I honestly believe that Steve made it just in time and he was able to return to the Future because he was able to grab onto the hand of his friend.
The premise of Synchronic sorta reminded me of "The Interface Series"/"Mother Horse Eyes" (the novel-length horror story that appeared on Reddit a few years ago). In it, LSD gives people the ability to peer into alternate timelines and parallel universes. However, after a while, the reality-warping effects of prolonged LSD use causes people to fuse their minds/bodies into a horrific, Eldritch flesh-monster that tries to consume the world.

I know what this movie is about, he discovers a new type of drug/pill but once he uses it, he goes back to the past in any era as long as he is on a different spot and it's sad that he lost his dog, and boy the ending really sucks.

Guy only had a few months to a decade to live because of cancer. It's like a heroic sacrifice since he was going to die anyway so he did it for his friend. All the comments saying his white friend should have went really bug me :/

I dont get why Steve didnt have the dad do it instead. Or better yet, why didnt Steve actually prepare, every place they travel to they are met with dangerous things, I have a theory it's the pasts way of trying to get these futuristic people out because it messes with balance. what's worse is that he is trapped in a very horrible time frame. facing an alligator would have been better then that, and if he had actually prepared with guns and armour he would at Least be able to take out the alligator and savages. It would have been better if steve didnt have to sacrifice himself for people none of us actually cared for like let's be honest here, the audience has no emotional ties to Steve's friend and his dumb ass daughter, I rather the dog survived then ths girl. Plus they could go and rescue him, all they would need to do is find a package of pills in order to do so, many from the scientists lab. On the positive side if the time line isnt too far apart steve could probably find his dog, if he survives the war, maybe a bit more older, but who knows, all in all getting the girl just wasnt worth it to me

This film is so great and it feels like a lot of people trashing it have some sort of agenda behind their actions or it just somehow attracted a lot of completely impossible idiots. For example, in one scene a news anchor reports that a teen dissapeared after taking "bath salts", which is pretty normal for journalism. Who cares what new designer drug is there and what kind of name it has, just run the "bath salts" and move on. But in a review I've read a person complains that the movie "teased some sort of bath salts coverup and never follows up on it". Like...what? What coverup? And there are other complains of such nature. Complains about "sound editing" which was totally fine and all that stuff.

Honestly I felt like the ending was left much more open-ended oh, you know like the writers left it open for interpretation. What does video doesn't show you is that Steve's friend reaches out to grab Steve's hands. Earlier in the movie they mentioned that all you need is to touch something in order to bring you back. I honestly believe that Steve made it just in time and he was able to return to the Future because he was able to grab onto the hand of his friend.

The premise of Synchronic sorta reminded me of "The Interface Series"/"Mother Horse Eyes" (the novel-length horror story that appeared on Reddit a few years ago).
In it, LSD gives people the ability to peer into alternate timelines and parallel universes. However, after a while, the reality-warping effects of prolonged LSD use causes people to fuse their minds/bodies into a horrific, Eldritch flesh-monster that tries to consume the world.
