I enjoyed watching your enthusiasm over this laptop, Ben, but I just can't see paying $2600 for a laptop with only 16 GB of memory and a dongle for ethernet connection. The way Asus prevents users from upgrading the memory in their laptops is a real turnoff for me.
Then spend the extra 300 bucks and get the 32 ram with 2 tb, i9. I currently have the laptop and the only thing I cam honestly complain about is thst it's not a 120hz. That's it other than that I've never been more happy with a PC.
I just purchase M16 with i7 and RTX 3050TI for design and 3D model .. M16 come along with OLED 165 Hz Nebula .. I believe this option far more valuable considering the price .. but the storage only 512 so I use external hdd that's it ..
I used to be super excited about these videos a year ago, I enjoyed them. That was when I was trying to find me my first laptop, but once I bought my Zephyrus G14. Now I skip most of these recommendations, I still love the videos when I actually watch it but I'm not excited anymore. I love your style of doing things, and your presentation.
@@SirMbenchodewala no issues with backlight bleeding, by that I mean if you are in a dark room with black background and full brightness ofcourse there's some bleeding, but it's never noticeable in normal usage. As for heating it stays in 50-60° range in normal usage. But when I play Diablo 2 resurrected it's cpu gets very hot around 90°, but after some tweaking in manual mode I managed to keep it around 80°.
It's cool to see you so jazzed about a laptop. They made my perfect laptop too, it's the Zenbook Pro 17. 6900 HX processor + RTX 3050 is perfect for someone might cut video for themselves but prefer something powerful and well appointed that runs ice cold over the bump to 3060. Not much coverage on it but I'd love to see how it compares to this Pro 16X OLED.
You did an excellent job on this video. Yes, 100%. I love it. The only difference I’ll be getting mine with the Intel Core i9-12900H 3.8GHz. Can't have enough power in life. Ted
I ordered mine a few days ago and it come in on Wednesday and went with the 32GB i9-12900H! 2TB SSD; a must need in my final semester of Computer Drafting Technologies. I'm also looking forward to delving into Computer Game Development with Unreal Engine 5.0!
Do you see the grid maytrx on the oled screen for the digitizer. I heard Asus oled laptops all have these dots that messes up the colors so you can't see pure white. It looks like grey which totally destroys or makes meaningless the pantone validation.
Ben, Can you review Aorus 5 XE4, it has 12gen i7 and 3070 gpu with 360Hz screen at a price of less than 1400? It's like a real banger for money, comes with 99Whr Lipo battery as well.
@BenGKaiser : Does this laptop support ALT codes on that touchpad/numpad combo? This would negate the need for external mouse or keyboard during travel for work purposes. I type symbols like "µ" using alt codes on a daily basis and this is a sort of make or break thing for me.
This looks great, I actually just ordered a pro art with the 64 gb of ram and 3070 in it and there are a couple of concerns I have with this model over the pro art I wonder if you can get back to me on. The dial seems to be touch based here, I have not had a great time with touch interfaces at all, the wacom remote and intuos tablets has a dial as well and it always feel so unreliable, so I wonder how that fairs here. I'm also curious to see how typing feels over time, the lift on that keyboard seems insanely high and I'd imagine the elevated base probably makes it a really bouncy experience. I also wish manufacturers would give some more options for these laptops, I had such a hard time finding something that the proart offered in terms of hardware that it felt like my only choice, not that I dislike the product offering but would like to see more options in the market!
If you're had trouble with touch devices than the Studiobook was a great choice as it comes with a physical dial. I actually have REALLY been liking the elevated keyboard and it is NOT bouncy at all. It's been QUITE comfortable to use over the past week that I've now been testing the device. Yeah, I agree. More options would be VERY helpful.
Dial on Studiobook is physycal instead of touch, it also has fill size num pad. Also, as far as I know, Pro 16X has weaker video cards and only offers 3060 as a maximum option, while Studiobook has 3070 and maybe even more, not sure. Screen on 16X is 60 Hz, while on Studiobook it's 120Hz
Hey Ben, i have been curious about the new Asus TUF FX507 series that comes with 12th gen intel and up to full power rtx3070. i would like to see the review of the top of the line model (FX507ZR) from your perspective as a 3d modelling laptop, video editing and professional works and how does it compare to those mighty laptop up there (because i think it is bang for the buck for what you are getting) i will wait for the response, it don't have to be immidiate, thanks!
Hey Ben,,,,, We want to see your mentioned laptops and their features on the screen more than you. But you do the opposite. Please focus more camera on laptop. 🙏🙏
Except that ASUS stuck with that same 60HZ OLED while putting a stunning 3.2K 120HZ OLED in the VIVOBOOK PRO 16X (N7601). Once you go 120HZ OLED, you never wanna go back, everything is smoother and less jarring on eyesight. The 120HZ 14.5" 2.8K OLED on the Vivobook 14 S PRO you can buy at Costco atm for $799 is the best screen I've ever seen on a laptop (same one in the 14 duo).
I mean WTF with the webcam. I think it's the best I've seen on any laptop so far.

I actually love this laptop, I am so happy that Asus actually listens to customers
Seems a bit weak for a light "Mobile Workstation" - The new Legions seem a better choice
Better? Dude They are the best.
Especially with the not-upgradable RAM

Hows your g14 with heat and display bleeding?

Wow, that Pro 17 is really beautiful, and finally an AMD in a Zenbook! Only turn down for me is the 16:9 aspect ratio :(

At first glance I thought Andrew Garfield is doing laptop reviews now
Nice review tho👍

That's a beast of a LAPTOP!
Have you done a review of the Zenbook Pro 17? I Cant find any other than by ASUS and we cant buy them in UK!
Why the add pen wherase you can't change it to tablet or all the way flat?
Can you use the included Asus pen 2.0 on the touchpad to draw in illustrator, or can you only use the pen to draw directly onto the display?
Cool laptop. Was there any struggle getting the bottom off, or was it built with the consumer in mind, on this?
Any idea where / when this will be available in Canada????
The only thing lacking is the high refresh rate screen.
Do you see the grid maytrx on the oled screen for the digitizer. I heard Asus oled laptops all have these dots that messes up the colors so you can't see pure white. It looks like grey which totally destroys or makes meaningless the pantone validation.
Awesome review as always... Any ideas when the Zenbook 17 Pro would be release?
Does the pen comes with laptop use on iPad or tablet ? Thanks!
Still have my zenbook 14

I want to decide between Dell 5520 3060 & Asus F17 3060 both 2022 models ..Can you pls help?
Nice video. How does this compare to Proart 16 with similar specs? I hope you can make a video comparing the two. Thanks!
I plan to make a comparison video soon!

Isn't this basically the ProArt Stidiobook? I genuinely don't know the difference. Is the screen different?
I'll make a short video showing some of the differences soon.
