I freaking knew it was a cult! All my life since the day I was born I been LIED too felt EMMBARSSED for since I was 5yes old I wasn't allowed to 'Calibrate my birthdays' I had a very sad and depressing childhood😍😍😍😍
Rs. i wasnt JW but i was baptist and i stg i spent so much time stressing over the BS rhetoric that was shoved down my throat of "YOU NEED TO FUCKING SPREAD THE WORD OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
I mean, what do you expect in a religion like that? Spreading the gospels, a big part of many religions, however there’s a big difference between spreading the gospel and trying to force people into conversion. The more you force the more upset whoever you’re trying to convert is going to get at you
It's a cult technique through and through. Kids minds are more malleable Which just happens to be perfect for recruitment and by having their peers doing the conversion it normalises anything that seems off.
Yeah as a non religous person I already hate it enough when I'm told to pray when times are hard, I would hate it even more if someone used that hard time to try to force me towards their religion.
No cuz getting indoctrinated while attempting to heal would make me mad. Especially since most of the time , prayer doesn't work at all. Using my vulnerability to fall for a trick that won't help but make me feel worse.
God have pretty much messed up priorities, he just wants to convert "evil" people to the "good" side but "good" people don't matter because they're already good so why bother.
hey guys, Christian here. so for @realdragon there's no such thing as a good person under Gods eyes, so you messed up there, and for @PraiseTheFSMonster Hell isn't torture :l Yeah, it's just a separation from God, but I don't blame you for the false statement, its been portrayed for who knows how long. So when someone decides to live their life with God, they will spend eternity with him after death, and those who live away from God will spend eternity away from God, and God is everything good, like love, friendship, hope, enlightenment, assurance, so when you take him out its hate, betrayal, hopelessness, anxiety, etc.
Is Job a character for the JWs, too? Imagine your family/livestock/crops dying, you are homeless, and riddled with disease all because God and Satan had a bet.

Both of my grandmothers passed away relatively recently and at around the same time. If someone said "sorry that you lost your grandmothers, take this book on Jehova" I would lose my sh*t
My hospital roommate did this to me while being sick and my grandmother dying in another hospital. When I tell you I blew up. I actually caused one of the machines I was hooked to misalign. I was trying to get up (mind you I was really weak and was unable to get up quickly.cant even now) so fast to throw hands. There's a time and a place. And coming for someone who is going through a long medical journey but also someone who lost their grandmother and unable to see her before she passed the time was not then.
@@natchi886 I know how upsetting it might be to hear someone say something like this to you when you’re going through a hard time but keep in mind that trying to comfort people is no easy business. I’m autistic and I am often very lost on what I should do if somewhat around me is going through a hard time because it feels weird to just sit there quietly and I don’t want to do anything to make them upset. Once I laughed when my friends cat died because I thought that for some reason me laughing would spread onto them and laughing makes people happy so maybe I could make them happy by laughing hysterically while the cats corpse is in the car. For reference, I was 12 years old and of course I know that it doesn’t work that way now and it still haunts me at night, but that just goes to show how the person can be when it comes to comforting another person. For some people that’s the only way that they know to comfort people. Religion worked for them, so they think that spreading its other people will help them when they’re going through a hard time and for some people it actually does. I don’t think it’s fair to be nasty to a person who’s trying to help you. Sometimes you can step out of your own feelings and try to think about it from their perspective. If you see a person struggling with something you know that something worked for you wouldn’t you want to spread it to them? It’s like seeing someone with a flat tire and you’re holding a tire pump. Wouldn’t you feel inclined to give it to them? Of course I’m not saying that it’s a good idea to try to indoctrinate someone who’s going through a hard time and I of course, would never personally do it myself because I know that most likely will not be received well by the other person or help them whatsoever. But on the flipside, I would never be nasty to a person who is obviously not trying to get on my nerves and is trying to do what they can to comfort me. I will acknowledge their attempt. Of course that doesn’t mean that you have to pretend that they are helping you. Good thing to say would be I know you’re trying to help me, but I don’t believe in that and I don’t find it very comforting and the best thing you can do to help me would be to just allow me to grieve in peace. Whether you like what a person is saying to you or not, it never excuses being nasty or aggressive to a person I’ve been in that situation before where I was simply trying to do/say something nice and it was received with aggression.
@@natchi886 maybe don’t be so quick to try to harm a person who simply trying to comfort you and the way that they can throwing hands helps nobody and I get that it could be upsetting if a Person says something that you don’t like but violence is never the answer and it’s always best to resolve things like that with calmness and fullness instead of aggression, cursing, and throwing stuff
@@blackqweenmars i understand and its not like me to act that way. But imagine where I was. I lost the ability to walk talk breathing with a machine, can't do the basic necessities like go to the bathroom, then to find out that your grandmother passed away from covid. I was literally sobbing. And she was going on about how I need to go to her place of worship and what I can do for her. There was no sympathy or comfort. I was at my point. Id probably never b at that point again just showing how blind people can be when all they want to do is convert.
At this point, it doesn't even have ANYTHING to do with the actual concept of Christianity itself. It's just something used to manipulate kids by saying awful things and putting Jehovah, not even God (I refuse to say that he and God are the same thing) in order to make it seem innocent.
Imagine you're grieving your mom and your kid comes home excited to tell you all about how someone told them they just have to obey the other persons religious beliefs and serve their church to see grandma again. And you have to find a nice way to explain that the person was just trying to use their grief to manipulate them. Especially if you already have a different religion and now your kid thinks their grandma is doomed because she didn't follow someone elses rules.
I NEVER brought literature to school. I was embarrassed AF to be a "Witness". I was NEVER a believer. Even as a kid. But the threat of punishment from my elder father and pioneer mother kept me "in line", so to speak. Once I was old enough and, more importantly, brave enough to leave, (age 27) I did. Not df'd, just stopped going. To the disappointment of my parents😂. Became a full fledged atheist. 😂😂😂. I feel bad for JW kids nowadays, that can't get away from this crap.
Dude, omg same! I’m not as old as you but my mom would make me waste every Saturday morning at the stupid place and listen to the people talk about god. I always felt guilty for not wanting to be there and not wanting to listen or pay attention but now I’m glad my mom doesn’t force me anymore, Covid was probably the best thing that happened to me because now I’m free to be my own person and not be surrounded by people who’d judge me for not singing their Jesus songs.
@@Ghostkun87omg I have a similar experience 😭 my mom has been a JW since i was 4 and my dad was raised Catholic. i was always forced to go with my mom and our study teachers to the JW sunday meetings. After i turned like 11 or 12 I realized that i dont really believe in their teachings but it wasn't untill I turned 15 that 💀 the guilt of not believing caught up to me and i ended up telling my study teacher that I no longer wanted to be a witness. It felt horrible letting her down after like a decade of studying w her multiple times a week, but it was liberating to finally be honest.
Same. I explained religion but wasnt interested in identifying as a JW. Honestly though, compared to other kids i knew my childhood was really wholesome. In a stepford wives kind of way. Church was sooo boring. The only reason i read so many magazines was to not be bored out of my skull.

Sophia's common sense kicked in creating a programmed fear caused by her religion when she so much had a smidgen of reluctance resulting in her common sense being squashed deeper into the depths of her psyche where it is locked away struggling to escape .
my mum was in a terrorist attack and JW people hunted her down and came over every day to try and convince her they could heal her ptsd absolute vultures
I had an overzealous “Christian,” not a JW, inform me that my Catholic grandmother had gone to Hell, but I could avoid her fate by converting to whichever sect she belonged to! That was her way of “comforting” me? This was a person who normally didn’t speak to me or give me the time of day. I was so shocked I just gave her a “look” and walked away. She didn’t bother me ever again which was just fine.
The thumbnail reminds me of when witnesses roll their eyes back in their head to protect them (like sharks taking a bite) whenever someone points out failed prophecy 🦈✝️🙈
Headcanons: After high school, Caleb and Sophia go no contact with their parents and leave the organization. Caleb joins the military and becomes an Air Force pilot, starts a family with his wife. Sophia becomes a vet and ends up with Zoey.
This is so bizarre when Sofia tries to convert other children, and her parents are okay with that because if someone tried to convert Sofia, I don’t think her parents would be happy about it. In fact, I think they would be so angry if someone really tried to do it. So why do JW's parents want their children to try to convert other kids, but they don't even try to imagine that other kids could possibly try to convert their children to another religion?
@@MyLittlePonyFan24 That's why American/Evangelical lawmakers won't respect the holy books of other religions and allow them in public schools. "Only OUR interpretation of God and His holy book will be allowed in public schools nationwide". Seems pretty "BIG GOVERNMENT" of them.

I was dead proud to be a JW at high school in Apartheid South Africa. All the teachers and 1,000 students knew I was a hated and unpatriotic "Jehovah se Getuie" because I was the only one not wearing military uniform on Thursdays for cadets. I always carried my Bible and often pulled it out in class to defend the neutrality doctrine and other doctrines that deviated from the Dutch Reformed Church. The resultant physical and verbal bullying only made me stronger in my faith and by the time I graduated from school I was excited about refusing to do the upcoming military service and couldn't wait for the police to arrest me, court-martial me and cart me off to military prison in Pretoria. Back then the sentence was 90 days solitary confinement that was renewed on the 90th day, continuously until the age of 66. At the end of my first year that inhuman law was changed and I was released. I sob when I watch these videos of innocent young children who were as thoroughly indoctrinated as I was and who are bullied and isolated as a result.
WOW!!! You've been in solitary confinement in a military prison for this religion! I hope @EXJWPandaTower sees your comment! Yes the mind control starts early in this religion. If anybody has a reason to be bitter, it is you for all that you have sacrificed. I hope you have found freedom from this religion and wish you much love and happiness.
Honestly I think I'd rather be a Jehova's Witness than patriotic for apartheid South Africa. Good on you for not doing conscription for that vile regime, even if it was because of a weird religious cult.

Word of wisdom... Never underestimate what lengths a cult is willing to go through to bolster its numbers (i.e. People's Temple, Manson Family, Heaven's Gate).
It is. When my Mom's brother died and she was very depressed, JWs who knocked on our door somehow smelled her sorrow and started to convert her. I went there and shooed them away. They preyed on her mourning to sell her their religion
I was never a JW, but was raised Catholic. Its so weird to me to see this sort of propaganda being taught to kids and how much they push kids to convert their classmates. I almost never talked about religion in school growing up, because it was always seen as something for family or church, and I never even thought to try and convert my classmates.
some churhces can be very dogmatic even if they're not JW, I used to go this youth group and they were pretty mad about the fact I never brought any non chritsian friend to it. tbh I think if a church is more focus on "our side vs theirs" type stuff that's not a church its a sports team

@@anthonyfreakwardstark thank you. Unfortunately there will be many more years of torment for myself. With no proper way to escape. You could say my game was loaded on hardcore mode. For many jehovahs witnesses minors you’ll have no friends or family. Since you were brainwashed you isolated yourself from basically everyone, having no friends. And your family cut off or refuses to let you speak with anyone who isn’t JW if they weren’t already all JW.
Just to note: Christianity and Jehovah's Witnesses are rather separate, JW just uses the bible in a much more radical way that oftentimes steers off from natural Christianity
I grew up evangelical and a lot of their bullshit was the same as jehovah's witnesses. And no it wasn't "just my family" or "a few bad apples" or "fake Scotsmen". It's a wide spread issue. It's baked into the fabric of christianity. A lot of christianity is cult like and bigoted. I won't accept this whitewashing.
Christianity is incredibly diverse, so to say "Christians and JWs are separate" is not true. An Evangelical and a Catholic are separate, yet both Christian. The Bible, as much as it can be useful, is a human text, and that means it has good and bad elements. If there were no bad elements, then JWs wouldn't have such harmful beliefs.
Ok, first- That kid was already afraid she'd be bullied for her religion even though she wasn't- I think the parents put that fear into her head ALSO HOW MANY COPIES OF THAT BOOK DOES SHE CARRY
JWs believe in a hell for non-JWs, right? So how is telling Zoey about Jehovah supposed to make her feel better about her likely non-JW grandmother's death?
JWs don’t believe in hell. Their belief is that eventually Armageddon will come and if you don’t serve Jehovah then you most likely won’t make it. If you die before that happens, then your sins will be paid for cuz you died, but ultimately, it’s up to god’s decision on whether or not you’ll be resurrected in the afterlife
not really, they believe after someone dies that’s it. kinda like they’re in a deep sleep. so in zoey’s case telling her about the resurrection was supposed to make her feel better because according to them those who don’t know about jeohob have the opportunity to be resurrected. i guess in their fan fiction zoey’s grandma never knew and therefore she can pet all the red pandas in paradise alongside zoey, because zoey is a believer.
@@nai1729correct. Mostly. To simplify what you said, they believe that non believers die the atheist way. I.E. that’s it. They don’t think they’re sleeping it’s just a metaphor for when those who did believe would be “woken” by jehovah.
Exactly! Christianity in my eyes should be like: "Not now, but I'll follow God when I'm ready, because God will be there for me when that time comes. Instead of: "Oh no, I'm being pressured to join a cult because a child from a freaking cult told me to or else God will hate me!"
@@N0b0dy1mp0rtant Exactly, it's not like if you make one "sin", like eating a stupid cupcake, he'll make you suffer in hell forever. I believe that he'll be there for you even if you make a mistake and he'll guide you to be right back on track with your life.
It scares me how prevalent cults like these are. I live in a small town in Canada and we have a JW and LDS Church. It makes me sick that they only go after the people they think are the most easily manipulated and emotionally vulnerable. JWs show up at my house all the time and they refuse to talk to me, they only want to talk to my mom because which I assume is because they think she’s an easy target. She knows that it’s a cult so I don’t have to worry about her, but my friend on the other hand wasn’t so lucky. I know that he was going through a really hard time in his life and then all of a sudden the Mormon missionaries showed up and somehow convinced him to go to their church. I’m happy for him that he found God, but I have no respect for people who use God to manipulate people. I don’t really know what else to say other than look out for your friends and family because anybody can fall victim
as the "cool smart kid who gives answers" I'm actually offended by this; I would never cheat on a subject I thought was actual "easy" or important to learn
Interesting fact about leprosy (AKA Hansen's disease): it is extremely difficult to spread, and 95% of people who contract the bacterium never develop the disease. It's still around today, but incidence has massively decreased over the last 40 years due to the industrialized production of medicine and the WHO's efforts at treatment. Around 16 million people have been cured of this diseasd since the 80s, and cases have gone down from about 5.2 million per year to about 200,000.
The animation quality in these cartoons are getting worse than what they used to be just two years ago. Did they change animators, or did the better animators finally escaped from the cult instead of wasting their talents on this?
This is one of the oldest ones. The animators have gotten better over time since they probably had no classical animation training and had to learn as they worked.
I guess I'll interpret the heart as a yes (?). So, I'm a 23 years old, just now diagnosed autistic girl, so you can already imagine just how isolated I grew up. Three years ago I hit my lowest due to personal reasons, when the middle daughter of my JW neighbors contacted me on Instagram because she wanted to make a photoshoot featuring me! (She's a REALLY talented photographer and she liked my facial features or something) Long story short, I accepted and after a bit of time together I actually started thinking that I had FINALLY made a friend, who lived right next to me on top of it! We had a lot in common, we liked the same movies and videogames and art... Well, until I invited her over to my house and... she discovered my passion for occultism, ancient folklore, cryptids, paganism and whatnot. She started LITERALLY taking steps back from me, as if I were scarying her, and called me a witch. I talked it out with her for over an hour and she actually chilled out, even sitting down beside me as we discussed. A few days later, I decided to buy her a cute little keychain of a small photocamera in her favourite colour, as a way to consolidate the good outcome of that discussion. So I texted her that I got her a small surprise and asked when I could come over to her place and give her the gift... Sadly, she replied that she couldn't speak to me anymore, let alone accept presents from me, and that the only thing she could do would be explaining to me why my passions were dangerous and evil. Now she doesn't even wave hi at me when walking past each other and that keychain is still sitting there, in my bedroom. It kinda hurt me, ngl :/
Sad story, but I just wanna let you know that what most likely happened is that the parents found out and thought your interests were "unholy" and they since you weren't a JW you two couldn't be friends so they forbid her from interacting with you, this is mostly assumptions, but its a likely story
@user-xy8kl6jn1k At least, what you believe in is based on something significant, like the solstice and equinoxes, and nature itself. Not some dogmatic laws. As far as know, there's no international group of leaders who tell you what to believe, or how to act. Would I choose to believe in something, that what I would choose.

Similar situation, lived in a town with a super high Mormon population (more likely to be than to not be), I was born into the church but left it around 14 and even before then the Mormon kids were so cruel and judgmental for any perceived differences. Literally even before I left, due to not “looking” Mormon enough (short hair, didn’t have nice clothes, visibly queer looking lol) they were already ostracizing me and believed I was an atheist/sinner just based off that. School I went to was in an even higher Mormon % part of the city, and a mostly high income place too (hm, wonder how that correlates.) with one low income neighborhood that I was from. Basically a bunch of hypocritical, rich, Mormons who looked down on me for not being good enough in their eyes. Could be very isolating at times.

Not to be rude but, as a Christian, even I find this to be fucked up. I believe that being Christian is an option and choice that you can freely make instead of something that is being forced upon you and pressuring you into living an unhealthy lifestyle. Being Christian is something that makes someone happy and proud, not stressed and trapped. These Jehovah Witnesses are simply saying bullshit and putting God as their excuse like "you can't do this or else God will send you to hell". I'm friends with many people who aren't Christian. I don't convert them, ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY WENT THROUGH A TRAGEDY. The main concept of Christianity is to LOVE, regardless of race, gender or religion. If a Jehovah Witness hates on someone JUST BECAUSE that someone isn't a Jehovah Witness, then are they even Christian? Sorry if I wasted your time by reading this. If she is a Christian, maybe it’s a ‘turn the other cheek ‘ thing, as hard as it may well be to suspend disbelief for that level of forgiveness (this is Biblical fan-fiction after all, so characters are often going to be pretty saintly…).
Technically the message is ‘supposed’ to be that the master was so moved by God healing him that he converts to Christianity and stops doing all the evil things he was doing. The fanfiction in this animation portrays the characters as so stupid that they didn’t know who ‘Jehovah’ was until the slave girl offhandedly mentions it and suddenly ‘yay! Everything was magically solved and the everyone lived happily ever after!’ But if this story was true, then this girl just saved her evil master from death via her Jehovah and is now going to continue suffering under him forever, essentially shooting herself in the foot. JW is really moronic. 😂
@@BuddyLee23 she’s not even a Christian she would’ve lived before Christ would have even been born based on the story and she is a Israelite, and worshipped the Israelites God, and believed in the Israelite religion, which is the precursor to Judaism, so she would be a Proto Jew
I love how all the kids looked at Sophia as she was about to pull that book out of her backpack, it's as if they were about to report her to the Thought Police (they should).
Cringed the minute they mentioned a slave girl. I thought to myself, "Let's see how Watchtower tactfully and delicately handles slavery." Naaman could have at least freed her at the end.
I know, right? as a commenter from another youtuber said, "the whole story's basically her as a slave being horribly mistreated, then saving her master's life so she can keep on being a slave." Honestly, that kind of toxic 'love' really does seem very JW. I mean, their whole concept of God's love is that Jehovah won't slaughter them if they believe in him while he wipes out everyone else who does. a really toxic and twisted belief that probably trickles down to their relationships with their own kids.
These cartoons are deeply disturbing. These children are told not to be friends with children not in their group. However their are told to befriend others to get them in their group. The message is conditional friendship. Children should be taught unconditional love and friendship regardless of a persons race, nationality and religion.
I remember I had a classmate that had JW parents. I didn't knew a lot about JW other than they don't celebrate birthdays, so with a group of friends we used to "celebrate" his birthday gifting him some of our food on lunch time. He never tried to convert anyone and mostly kept that part of his life a secret; he liked video games, computers and drawing. One year I invited him to my birthday party and he said that he couldn't go, so I brought him the bag of candy the next day (in a normal bag, not a birthday one). It's been a long time since I've talked to him, but he seems to be doing better. This videos help me understand better what he was going through at the time, and it actually explains a lot of questions I had about some behaviors! Keep up the good work!
My parents arent JWs but one set of my grandparents is. I remember my gma giving me the young people ask books and encouraged me to take them to school and share them with my friends. We ended up just making fun of the whole thing and even showed my health/sex ed teacher and she was horrified lol
I had Vietnam flashbacks with the "young people ask" books, i am a former christian, almost turned into mormon and now an agnostic/atheist. I utterly followed every fricken rule on that books by the age of 9, 9! That didn't stopped me to become a Bisexual Genderfluid fella years after btw
Realistically they’d escape when they’re 18 and move out or CPS. Theres no other escape if they don’t have family or friends. And trust me they won’t have either.
As someone who works with kids in a classroom in the US I can tell you they would not respond like that to a new student who is from India. They would be so popular. She would get asked so many questions.
As someone who was a kid in a several school districts in the US, I can tell you that and worse IS how a few respond to a new student who is from another country.
Its weird how biggest anti proapganda they can have is their own cartoons and actually makes them dangerously effective I mean, they're so fucking depressing, they themselves addmits how horrible their childhood is, how lonely and deprieved from normal social experiences as a childhood, birthdays, having friends and playing with them outside school, playing videogames, playing with fantasies outside their religions like faries or dragons or even being allowed to have dreams like becoming astronauts, they're simply cut away from you, they show that and Kalleb and specially Sophia are completely miserable all the time just learning that they should be fine and grateful with that all the time And then, there's this part on their episodes when their answer for all that misery ends up with "oh, just preach and talk about Jeovah" and everything actually ends up fine in the episode, but in real life? It never works, the other kids will actually feel annoyed, bored or harassed with that weird lonely kid that always refuses their invitations to hang out with them because of their church trying to preach them out of nowhere like that And JW kid after seeing how things just didn't went well as it did in those cartoons, there's chance they'll start to dig themselves deeper in their religion and religious community and isolate themselves even more, or they'll start to hate their cult and start to isolate themselves from their own family because they're part of this cult. Either way, the second option is better, but for a child, not being able to support themselves in their own family like that? Imagine how their family would start treating them, kinda how they'll shun their 8y/o child?

As a slave being helpful to your master is only understandable when you try to be in their graces and you don't want them to punish you, or when you try to look obedient and then run away.

I cringed at the last “message” because of how hypocritical it was to preach about loving one another yet they’re the most discriminating group against non-JW’s
Without going into specifics, young female slaves in bible times had duties other than just carrying food and kitchen work. Of course, they skirt that issue, but "Jehovah" sure didn't save those girls from the horrors of their enslavement...
Around 3:56 and so on talking about that girls grandma dying honestly struck a nerve with me. When my grandma passed away ( around Christmas last year) the last thing I would want is to be converted. If the first words that came out of your mouth weren’t words of comfort, asking how my family is holding up, and if you can’t do that without trying feeling the need to convert me, you’ve already lost me.
totally agree with you, even if someone doesn't say words of comfort to me or my family, I'd be totally flabbergasted and incredulous hearing if I wanted to be converted bc they felt I needed to do it, as if it could relieve pain of lost ☠️
Even though it might be kind of tone deaf to do that, you gotta keep in mind how it looks from the perspective of these people. To them they are giving you a great gift. How would you feel if you gave someone a gift and that person got upset it and started cursing you out. I don’t care who died if someone did this to me I would still try to be respectful to them because it’s not fair to be nasty to a person who is trying their best to comfort you. I know how hard it can be to comfort people. I hysterically at my friend after her cat died because I believed that it would spread to her, and then when she started laughing, it would make her feel happier. Before y’all start lambasting me for that fact, I’ll have you know that I was 12 and I was also autistic I thought that making them laugh would help. That just shows how awkward it is when it comes to responding to something like that. When a person is struggling, you feel awkward, not doing anything and you feel scared to do anything so it’s a very hard position to be for certain people
8:34 : because she's considered property. If Naameh were to die, she'd probably be sold to another master. (This is biblical times, and his wife probably wouldn't receive ownership rights to the slaves.) So, while we can wish that she would be returned home, it's better to keep the devil you know alive. Tl;dr: sis was looking out for herself.
16:46 Back when I was in school, you either had to solve the problem, or skip it and go back to it later, but you weren't allowed to leave it blank. The only exception was either if the teacher labels what problems you don't have to do, or you're being timed and you have to solve as many problems correctly as quickly as possible. If it's homework, then you have to answer every problem no matter how bad the guess might be. There's more to it than that, but that's the jist of it. Teachers hate seeing unsolved math problems and will refuse to grade your work until every single thing is filled out.
The story of the slave girl was a focus in one lesson at my congregation’s Vacation Bible School this year, and I kept thinking about this Caleb and Sophia cartoon as I was listening to it. The strange thing about it is when I was taught this story, she was never the focus (and with just two Bible verses, she isn’t much of one in the text). When I was taught this story, I heard things like, “When was Naaman healed? It wasn’t the first time he dipped in the river Jordan, it wasn’t the second time, it wasn’t the third time-it was the seventh time. And do you think Naaman would have been healed if he washed in another river? Nooooo, because that’s not what God said.” It was all to emphasize how important it is to follow God’s commandments-like baptism.
"Dazorkabab heals... when was Shnoomploop healed? After the first dip, the second? No, only after the 48th dip in the Mississippi! Because that's what God commanded" -Catholic Church

If they tried to indoctrinate me when im trying to heal form a loss of a friend or family i would be really angry.
Ikr? That's like one of the easiest ways to fall into religion too.

The Bible, as much as it can be useful, is a human text, and that means it has good and bad elements. If there were no bad elements, then JWs wouldn't have such harmful beliefs.

JWs believe in a hell for non-JWs, right? So how is telling Zoey about Jehovah supposed to make her feel better about her likely non-JW grandmother's death?
THIS
JWs don’t believe in hell.
No, JWs most definitely do not believe in Hell. They preach that Sheol is the grave, not Hell or Purgatory.
@@nai1729correct. Mostly. To simplify what you said, they believe that non believers die the atheist way. I.E. that’s it. They don’t think they’re sleeping it’s just a metaphor for when those who did believe would be “woken” by jehovah.

"Not now, but I'll follow God when I'm ready, because God will be there for me when that time comes.
Instead of:

Interesting fact about leprosy (AKA Hansen's disease): it is extremely difficult to spread, and 95% of people who contract the bacterium never develop the disease.
It's still around today, but incidence has massively decreased over the last 40 years due to the industrialized production of medicine and the WHO's efforts at treatment. (She's a REALLY talented photographer and she liked my facial features or something)
Long story short, I accepted and after a bit of time together I actually started thinking that I had FINALLY made a friend, who lived right next to me on top of it!

Literally even before I left, due to not “looking” Mormon enough (short hair, didn’t have nice clothes, visibly queer looking lol) they were already ostracizing me and believed I was an atheist/sinner just based off that.

Everything was magically solved and the everyone lived happily ever after!’
But if this story was true, then this girl just saved her evil master from death via her Jehovah and is now going to continue suffering under him forever, essentially shooting herself in the foot.
JW is really moronic. 😂

Honestly, that kind of toxic 'love' really does seem very JW. I mean, their whole concept of God's love is that Jehovah won't slaughter them if they believe in him while he wipes out everyone else who does. a really toxic and twisted belief that probably trickles down to their relationships with their own kids.

Its weird how biggest anti proapganda they can have is their own cartoons and actually makes them dangerously effective
I mean, they're so fucking depressing, they themselves addmits how horrible their childhood is, how lonely and deprieved from normal social experiences as a childhood, birthdays, having friends and playing with them outside school, playing videogames, playing with fantasies outside their religions like faries or dragons or even being allowed to have dreams like becoming astronauts, they're simply cut away from you, they show that and Kalleb and specially Sophia are completely miserable all the time just learning that they should be fine and grateful with that all the time
And then, there's this part on their episodes when their answer for all that misery ends up with "oh, just preach and talk about Jeovah" and everything actually ends up fine in the episode, but in real life? It never works, the other kids will actually feel annoyed, bored or harassed with that weird lonely kid that always refuses their invitations to hang out with them because of their church trying to preach them out of nowhere like that
And JW kid after seeing how things just didn't went well as it did in those cartoons, there's chance they'll start to dig themselves deeper in their religion and religious community and isolate themselves even more, or they'll start to hate their cult and start to isolate themselves from their own family because they're part of this cult. Either way, the second option is better, but for a child, not being able to support themselves in their own family like that? Imagine how their family would start treating them, kinda how they'll shun their 8y/o child?

Around 3:56 and so on talking about that girls grandma dying honestly struck a nerve with me. When my grandma passed away ( around Christmas last year) the last thing I would want is to be converted.
