  • After getting this cool tool that adds immersion, I realized that installing it is one thing, and getting it to work is another. SimHub is great software, but it does come with a tricky learning curve. You might be having the same issues that I had. But don't worry, this video should get your rig vibrating by the end of this video (or at least one step closer).

    Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I just bought the 350W version which has the integrated sound card and amplifier. It's a much cleaner installation and simple to install. Your video showing how to set up in SimHub was helpful. It's a great addition to my rig.

      @chrisanders6018 you are welcome. Turn the knobs to less than halfway and then adjust your in-game output. You will still feel small vibrations without making it very loud for people around you. I like it rattling a lot but soft and subtle still gives you the sensation from the effects like gear changes and riding the kerbs. I think GT7 and F1 23 do a great job.
      Have fun!🤩

    Hi man, that looks complicated as hell! And so many wires 😳 Great tips for setting up the feedback.
    The RPMs is to do with the revs or revolutions per minute of the cars engine. Probably to simulate the vibration of the cars engine as you rev your car. I don't know how the curve works but I would say the way you have it is spot on.
    Maybe try having it Peak a bit sooner and then slowly flatten out the way you have it 🤔 It's an interesting one. A lot of options to tweak and adjust through all the settings. You seem to have it working great showcased by the driving on grass, gravel and rumble straps. Your settings and demo are definitely gonna help a lot of people out. Awesome stuff man 🙂👍

      @footdownracing there’s definitely a lot going on with this software and it drive me mad for weeks. Thx for the tips about the revs, more playtime needed to dial it all in. It’s crazy how racing with no vibration feels odd.
      You’d get a kick out of the vibration with all the rally driving you do, especially on dirt. See if you can source the parts individually. Next, I have to figure out how to have audio come through the speakers and audio go through the transducers at the same time.
      Thx for watching.

      @roostergeeracing6962 Yeh, it looks really cool 🙂 I might save up for a full motion rig like you suggested in a previous video. Those things are expensive, but it would be awesome to feel the rear of the car slide out or feel the car go light as you go over a jump 😃👊

    Is it pretty simple to turn on simhub when you turn your PC/ console back on? Like just open the software and load settings type of thing?

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @christeynolds6152 I turn my PS5 on, then the PC (because I walk by the PS5 first😊). From the PC I open SimHub and select GT7. Then, switch over to my PS5 and open GT7.
      From that point SimHub does the rest and you can just play the game as you normally would. However, if you want to make any changes to your vibrations, you will have to go back into your PC and make the changes there.
      It will take some tweaking at first to set your vibrations, but once you have it set, you’re good to go.
      Hopefully this helps.
      Thanks for watching.

      @ricepony33 thank for watching. The sound card that came with this kit doesn’t have any branding. However, I have seen other people have success with a Nobsound sound card.
      haven’t connected RCA cables to this, so I can’t help you there. I’m able to use the shakers and also have sound output to my surround sound setup with this configuration.

    do you actually feel the 4 corners/4 tires separately? I have 2 rear shakers on the rear corners as of now, and i cant tell which one vibrates when i test them separately. I have same solid 80/20 rig as yours.

      @rod272727 thanks for watching. Yes, I do. And at the expense of actual racing time, I spend time now and then playing with the settings to get more feel here and there. The most obvious effect for me is going over rumble strips, as I have that on left and right and it’s just a very obvious part of the track where one side of the car should be smooth and the other should definitely be feeling those crocodile teeth 😊

      Will you please do a video showing a left unit in operation with good volume using a glass of water placed/secured to the right hand side. Likewise to then show the front to the rear. I ask this as vibrations will travel though any connected material/component. What does this installation do to ensure positional vibrations enter the respective body zones in seat/pedals first and/or PRIOR to the generated vibration from "corners" based effects being able to flow freely over the whole rig.

    Can you use the Slip Angle kit without adding the springs(Have the frame on caster wheels for example). I wouldn't mind putting the shakers on the inside of the frame and hidden from view

      @roostergeeracing6962  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Deadly-Storm yes, you can use the system without the springs and if you can find room you can have the transducers on the inside. With my setup, I can’t have the transducers on the inside and be at the front and back.
      Saying all that, one thing I love about the springs is that it gives my rig a feeling that the rig has suspension like a regular vehicle. So just me, but I’m not removing the springs for anything.

      Never tried it without the springs because it’s a lot of work to lift everything and take the springs off. But I honestly feel that the springs are after the vibrations (on the opposite side of the seat) so it’s not taking away from feeling getting to me. You make a really valid thought.

    Thanks guys for describing everything.
    I was most curious if you could feel the left right side, I learned from the comments that you can. I keep beating myself up with my thoughts whether I want to spend so much money on it, With shipping to my country it will be very expensive, I will have to pay a lot extra.
    However, the question puzzles me, I understand that now you wanted to show the sound, so it was loud. However, it seemed to me that such a solution is installed in order to make the whole set quieter and not to disturb other household members. Here I have a lot of irritating rattle, noise, and I hope that it is coming from other components that are not screwed on, maybe from the mouse, or keyboard.
    At the moment I have a Bass Shake LFE BST on the seat, and in other places easily felt, the heel of the foot, but I do not have such an irritating sound, and I can feel everything with my body. The back, the back, the heel of the foot. The only thing I'm missing to my complete happiness is the left right side. Just not at the expense of noise.
    Not for this kind of money. Can you explain it?
    By the way, nice video.
    As for RPMS , at my place I have it set only at a standstill.
    The first curve, value 0 flies to 4, the next vertical point up to 90, a parabola to about 20 and drops to the bottom and ends at about 38. Then another parabola, from 86, climbs to about 60 and ends at 100max rpm. I don't know how to post a photo here

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @worms141414 I totally understand your concern. And thank you for your settings for the RPMs, I’ll give that a try.
      Yes, that crazy rattling is from my keyboard tray (which I do not like). I had it off for a while and don’t want to spend money on another one😂. I’m lucky that my setup is far away from the rest of the family so I can turn everything up pretty loud. With that being said, I am looking to remove that keyboard tray because the rattling is not part of the racing environment. And I’m on carpet, with isolators. But 💯no sound going through the floor. Next video won’t have a keyboard tray.
      If you look to my setup of the channels, where the left and right side are either both selected or not, or left or right, that gives specific options for feedback to the side I want.
      I agree that this setup is not cheap, but I looked at it this way, I could save for a few years to get a full motion D-Box and everything would be amazing. Or I could buy what I did and wait longer for a shifter and rally racing wheel. Now I currently have everything to do F1, GT, and rally, 2 kinds of wheels, amazing sound setup (I’ll make that video later), and a rig that gives tactile feedback like everyone has on their wheels.
      And the last thought is this, I’ve always wanted a Porsche 959 and a Lamborghini Siesto Elemento. But if I had those cars, I’d be spending $100 K / year just in maintenance whether I drove the cars or not. So I have not spent $700K in cars + maintenance + insurance + speeding tickets. I’ll never afford those now. But the rumbling of my transducers lets me enjoy all the cars in GT7, F1, and WRC G for way less than the expense of 2 real road cars. But that’s just my current situation.
      Honestly, your setup sounds pretty nice. If I outsourced the parts myself, I’d have a shifter by now.

      @roostergeeracing6962  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @henryrebane1481 if my wife is sitting on the couch behind the rig while I’m racing, the noise does not bother her. My rig is in an open room and on carpet so there is a lot of sound dampening, so I can’t give the best answer for someone on a wooden floor. If I had to make a decision, I’d say the rubber feet keep the vibration inside the rig. Put it on a small area rug if things get crazy. But I think you’ll be happy.

      @@henryrebane1481 My rig is on top floor with wooden floor. I race at night while my wife and kid sleep in bedroom downstairs, it DOES NOT bother them. My wife hasn't mentioned it once and they're both very sensitive to noise lol.
      However you cannot just throw shakers on your rig and start racing, you will need at least some good sound dampening.
      What I did is simply put my rig on washing machine rubber feet. One under each wheel caster of my alu rig, and voila! Also goes without saying that your shakers should be installed properly, so there's no rattling sounds coming from rig at each shake. Helps with sound and most importantly feel. Otherwise you'd lose a lot of effects to useless noise and shake.
      I have my shakers set to 45% max, tbh nevel felt the need to go higher even during day or when no one's home. It just feels right. With good assembly you'll never need to go too high anyway, it feels kind of unrealistic, according to my real life experience with some performance cars and track days. Hope it helps!

      Hey, realize that this is a bit late. But, just came across your message. Yes it does! You need to have both your PC that's running SimHub and PlayStation 4/5 plugged into your router for them to communicate. I believe you can do it wirelessly, but I have not tried it. I was lucky enough that it auto configured. But, you may need to tweak your firewall settings for it to work. There are quite a few videos on TH-cam that go through the process if you need to go in depth.

    I have yet to see you highlight how this installation prevents vibrations from one corner entering other parts of the rig BEFORE it can enter your bodies individual feet/sides. We only detect tactile via our bodies, so the importance is to deliver the most detail and energy into our feet and seat above any of this idea that you are fully experiencing positional tactile.
    Their are things you could do to improve this but this product is misleading if you are giving the impression you will ONLY feel a left wheel/suspension on the left side and the opposite for right side based effects. Further to this, go on the grass etc as even with certain effects they will output a response to all units. Stereo effects also need some work with them to improve their operation in how they better maintain stereo activity or indeed front/back operations.
    Please though to anyone reading, support Simhub with a donation, the creator of it deserves such...

    • @roostergeeracing6962
      @roostergeeracing6962  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Mr_Latte_UK fair enough, but I believe my video is about showing the product and that I love that I am now getting another level of tactile feeling from this piece of equipment. The isolators prevent vibrations from going to the floor. And I do know that when my tires are on the left kerbs I feel that and I don’t feel it on the right side. If someone wants to get tactile feeling from something other than the steering wheel, all I can say is that I love this. And like I’ve said before, I hate driving without this now. I get no payment from Slip-Angle and bought the kit myself. Could I mount it to the pedals? Possibly, but I don’t want to because when I drive my jeep through different terrain in real life, the tactile feeling that I respond to comes from my seat. Yes, there are transducers that can be put on the pedals, but I will never buy them because I’m 100% satisfied with what I have on this rig.
      What does frustrate me is that I may have to buy a better amp to boost the vibrations, but I’m saving for a sequential shifter instead. I’ve also paid to support SimHub because it looks like a tremendous amount of work that has gone into their software that is being used in a variety of games. I can’t say enough good things about the level of input that is possible with SimHub.
      Thanks for watching and giving valuable feedback.

    Greetings from beautiful Barbados. I noticed that you are only utilizing 2 of your channels. I take it you have 2 amps, if that is the case, each amp is 2 channels, so 2 amps will be 4 channels. So your setup should be as follows: Channel 1 front left, Channel 2 front right, channel 3 rear left channel, and channel 4 rear right. From what I see in your video, you are not using channels 3 and 4. Try that and you will feel a huge difference. Take care
