I have purchased Cam's services for my dog, who was 7 at the time and suffering from the worst (WORST!!!) food allergies. Cam saved my dog's life, and my wallet haha. Thank you again Cam. Cuki is 10 years young now ;) She is as healthy as it gets.
Does cams e -recipe book give feeding guidelines ? I’m thinking of getting it and trying out a few recipes . And if all goes well follow up with a consultation for a few minor specific needs .
How do you purchase the services? I'm trying to find a homemade recipe that is actually approved by a vet nutritionist. I don't trust a lot of the online recipes I've seen.
So glad I found this channel! I was just told by my vet that my little Bichon Frise has crystal stones in his bladder. I’m trying to find a natural alternative to the prescribed diet that they want him on. They keep giving him shots, which I do not want for him. He has quite the personality, and I want to do whatever I can to make him feel better. He’s highly cerebral and quick to learn new tricks, however he’s finicky about what he consumes. I’m researching to find a healthy diet that he will actually like. 🐾
You are his advocate - say no to the shots, you'll be pleased you do. Have you heard of vaccinosis i.e. is an illness from being over vaccinated. A healthy diet as well will obviously be great too, all the best!
My dog is 10 years old. During her 2nd year she developed really bad allergies. Her eyes were so red and itchy. She scratched so much. I finally found the Store bought dog food that is now costing me $22 for a small bag. I really can’t afford this anymore because I got another dog and he’s a puppy. I’m needing to find another source for learning how to cook food for them. I’m really looking forward to learning from this channel.
Cooking for your dogs can be a great alternative. I'm glad you're looking forward to learning from the channel; there are many resources available to help you get started. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
Thank you so much for all that you do. I have Havanese that is a year and half old. I have started to make her food. She is a picky eater. Her poops are good. What I am making her she eats. Thank you again.
I can’t thank you enough for these videos, I’m a new dog mama of 1 week and I want to feed her wholesome homemade food! I really appreciate your expertise and advice ! 🐶
Thank you for having these videos available. I am slowly introducing fresh food to my dogs dry food they are only getting it at night, half kibble & half fresh, I can tell a difference. I bathed my dogs yesterday and one of them always shed a lot and yesterday she had shed less than half of what she usually would. I can’t wait to transition them fully.
Hi Cam, love your videos. I’ve transitioned my pug Hugo on to your cooked food recipes and he loves them. I know this isn’t related to this particular video, but are you planning on doing a video with what’s best to give your dog if he has an upset stomach/diarrhoea? Or is it ok to continue with his normal daily food? Thanks in advance 👍🏼
Hi Cam, thank you so much for this channel. My Westie has really bad allergies and I’m at my wits end. I purchased everything from the video but I don’t know the portion amount for my baby 😊. She is 4.5 yrs old and weights 23lbs. Thank you so much
Very informative and has a great approach to food and supplements by the means of natural homemade ingredients naturally thank u for helping all of us that love our furry friends and furry friends themselves 👌👍💪
Thank you so much my German Shepherd is very sensitive to beef and chicken her ears are the worst she rubs them on the floor and wines through trial and error I try to give her mainly game the response Is very quick I love your videos so much fantastic information The dog poo one is my favourite I have 3 dogs and once or twice a day I get an incite into what’s happening in there gut thank you again
Hello, thanks for all the information you provide! My question is…. Should raw meats, poultry, go in the freezer first than thawed before feeding? Whole chicken legs w/bone freeze first? If so is this to kill bacteria? Thanks again and I enjoy your videos!
It can do, depends on the age of the meat and how strong a gut your dog has. Freezing only kills parasites, most bacteria is unaffected by normal freezers.
Hi Cam, thank you so much for your video. May I know what are the alternatives of meat as I don't get venison easily in my country. Is salmon suitable?if yes, do i follow the same amount? Thank you.
Hi Cam, love your channel! Please please please make video how to deal with fussy dog with sensitive digestion 🙏 my frenchie so sensitive and I am dealing with diarrhea and upset stomach, no joke. Please help!
Wonderful info that i didnt know. Having a food trial now. May i know, if squash are given too much, does it stomach discomfort? I removed completely as now my poodle seem extremely sensitive. Can i reintroduce at this stage but reduce the quantity or after 8 weeks?
Would this recipe help my dog lose weight? I recently started making dog food using brown rice, a little spinach, sweet potato with meat well drained. This is my first time viewing. Thanks, Mary
My pug has malassezia dermatitis and currently on one apoquel per day. I might try this diet out for a bit to see if this reduces her itching. Also, I'm a bit confused on how much to feed in terms of this recipe.
Hey! The recipe is in the video, but I have plenty more that you can try in my recipe book here: www.thedognutritionist.com/products/the-ultimate-homemade-dog-and-puppy-food-recipe-book
Thank you good information! BUT Venison according to Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine is energetically hot so I think this meat could potentially make it worse. Novel proteins are rabbit, pork, duck I believe those are more nuetral on the body. Thoughts on turkey...?
Really appreciate the expert advice, thank you. Re video, dont understand the need to constantly switch camera view to make it 'interesting'. Its distracting. Simpler is better.
I had 5 strand testing done and it says my dog is allergic to beef, chicken, turkey etc. the meats he can eat are rabbit, kangaroo and venison. Not sure how to feed raw or cooked with those allergies.
Hello Cam, you mentioned in the video that dogs can’t be on it for more than two months as it’s not a complete food. What do I feed my cavapoo after two months?
Hi Lisa, you need to work out a diet that works for your dog. I would suggest getting the hypoallergenic plan on my website, this will help you identify the diet your dog needs long term.
@@thedognutritionist Good morning Cam, thank you for your response. I’ve bought from your website, the Ultimate Home-made Dog Food Guide, Raw, and Lightly Cooked but couldn’t see the hypoallergenic one. Is it under a different name? My cavapoo has some gut issues. I’ve noticed that in the last couple of days of feeding her your complete lightly cooked meal plan, her eyes are not producing what I can only describe as gunk which then creates tear stains. I’ve had her checked out at the vets; all they said was that some dogs have tear stains and not to worry about it. I’ve also noticed her poo is much better.
Hi there. I just want to make sure I understand so I can make the best decision. This diet will work long-term IF I find the right protien that my puppy/dog is not allergic to? I make a recipe from a "Dr" here on TH-cam that is beef based, and he starts to itch and become warm on the belly. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hey, yes! Finding the right protein is the key. Our Hypoallergenic Health Plan might help you, here's the link: www.thedognutritionist.com/products/health-plan

Would you recommend this?

I am curious about how you figure out the percentages of the meal. So if you're using 1 lb of meat then how do you figure out the amount to be 10 or 20%? As far as the vegetables? I'm sure it's a mathematical equation that I just don't know how to do...LOL!!
Is it ok to use a diet of beef & heart or lamb & liver with courgette & squash long term as my dog has several allergies and is now settled on this after a month of cooking for him with no itchiness. I am also adding your multi vitamin to each meal. Or do I need to add other veg? Thanks
