I adopted a 4-5 yr old dog, malnourished, very sick ( poodle, schnauzer, chow, cocker spaniel mix. What a character, I named her Lucille Ball. Anyway, Vet gave her little to no chance to fully recover. My Lucy lived 22+ yrs. I fed her everything you mentioned in this video, except the Cinnamon, & ,I added steamed sweet potatoes, when i didn't have carrots. Local raised chicken, beef and beef liver, deer, moose meat & fresh crappie. She drank Well water and/or from a underground spring with a few tsp of Raw apple cider vinegar in her bowl (All her veggies came from the Amish farm, or my garden No one believed me when I told them Lucy's age, even when she was 17-18 yrs old, people thought she was a puppy. She passed Aug 2022, (in her sleep);I I miss her everyday😢😢). When I took her back to the same Vet, (5 yrs after he seen her) for a Rabi shot (I had no choice, as we went to Canada) the Vet argued with me, telling me no way was Lucy the same dog he seen 5 yrs prior. He asked me, ''what game are you trying to play''? I made many copies of her diet and passed them out to 1000s of people (usually campers) during my travels around the country. I hope many peoples pets had the quality life my Lucy had. P.S. Another key factor to good health, NO STRESS. Good luck to all pet lovers❤
Thank for adopting your dog. You certainly took care of your dog. ❤❤
My dog won’t eat too much on her food, but I do have turmeric capsules that I use. How many capsules should I give her? She’s 176 pounds.

It's pretty much the same food they tell humans to eat to prevent disease, cancer..

Im a 73 year old English bloke living in the Philippines with 13 rescued street dogs living with me at home, and feeding up to 25 more in the streets every day. I used to feel sorry for them all as on my pension mainly all I can afford to give them is blended fruits, potatoes, vegetables and rice - not much meat - but I really have seen miracles! Dogs with no hair, scratchy skin and open sores now have wonderful coats of shiny hair! I also buy fish from the market, as its cheaper there, and cook that for them , they love it! And now you've just confirmed it all. Doc, thank you so much, God Bless you and Tula xx
Your commitment to caring for these animals is truly inspiring. I'm amazed by the positive impact your efforts have had on their health and well-being. Thank you for sharing your story, and I'm grateful to have been able to help! Bless you too and your fur babies! ❤️❤️

Thank you soooo much for helping the street dogs. I've had 2 rescue me here in Mexico and I also feed the ones still on the streets. The state I live in Mexico actually has pretty healthy street dogs....probably because all the businesses and lots of people feed them and we have free vet clinics

@@JanaLemons-dl7tk Such a caring human being! We, as pet lovers, animal lovers, are all so very grateful!
My 9 y.o. boxer had a baseball-sized angiisarcoma removed, and then my vet recommended no kibble. I started cooking for him with ground turkey, organ meats, carrots, flax seed, ginger and various orher foods. He lived to be 2 months shy of 14 years old!
Our world needs more people like you ❤
Hope your arm gets better soon bro.
I didn’t even notice, but I was that way a year and a half ago. It’s a big pain!
I was thinking the same. Get well soon Doc.
Yes praying your better each day! Total healing. ❤️
What happened
The increase in the jabby-jabbies I believe is a big factor to consider in the increase in cancer in doggies.
So true, I listened to a Canadian Vet from Nova Scotia several years ago who had spent over 30 years studying cancer in dogs and cats and he was confirming that all his research led to commercialised dog food and over vaccinating.
Yup. Spike protien shedding, not good for us or our dogs. God help us all.
I agree
@Irish_Lass2024 AGREE! Same with humans and jabby-jabs!!! 😒
@@sooper109 Totally!
I make all of my dogs’ food in a crockpot the night before. My oldest is 16. I add turmeric and ground pepper every day. Thyme is a great anti parasitic herb. My Golden Retriever is almost 13. He still works as a therapy dog for a nursing home.
Yes, me too. I make one Pan meals for her, and she loves thyme and rosemary😊
I recently decided to stop all canned dog food and kibble. I cook from scratch. rice and chicken, sweet potatoes, vegetables, cinnamon and apples, etc. I should have done this years ago. The commercial dog food is garbage. No wonder so many dogs die from cancer. A side benefit is while I'm cooking from scratch for the dogs; I'm cooking for my husband and I at the same time.
We are all happier. P.S. It's not that hard to do and lasts for days in the frig. Plus, we're saving money! Scratch cooking is cheaper than buying commercial foods!
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much,So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living in Texas now.
I like your answer. Home cooked food-But how much do I serve my Lab and how much my Jack Russel?
I tried however I was never sure how many calories .. I would always end up using too much
It's never too late to change their diet. Plus, what I like from homemade dog food, no more tear stain.
Yes!! Me too, my pup never liked Kibble, so I also make homemade dog food. I give her one cup for breakfast and one cup for dinner.😊
My dog's overall health, skin, and fur are amazing since I started gently cooking Dr. Judy's pup loaf recipe to feed him in lieu of kibble. It includes many of these ingredients, and I add olive oil in addition to flax oil.
For treats, I give him apple slices, a bit of yogurt, frozen green beans, and sometimes carrots. I gently cook the chicken gizzards and freeze the broth in ice cube trays for him to crunch when he's coming in from outside heat. I also freeze organic sugar free vegetable baby food in silicon trays for treats. Sometimes I make 3 ingredient salmon treats for training. Right now, my dog eats all whole foods, plus ALL veggies and beef are organic to avoid corn fed or sprayed products.
What a wonderful parent you are.🎉
You have very lucky dogs😊Mine are too
Skipping the kibble, completely, and feeding a raw diet it’s going to do more than anything else I feel. Not a Carol and not a guarantee, but I think it gives the best chance of your dog living a good healthy life.
Agreed! 😊
My dog and my cat -- 100 percent animal based foods, just like me (I eat the Carnivore diet way). No vet bills for them and no doctor bills for me!
@@panamafred1 I have been feeding my animals a raw diet for a little over 20 years now. still get pushback from people, and veterinarians. I’ve heard my vet yell at other people about it, but he doesn’t say a word to me. He says my animals are some of the best most healthy animals he’s ever seen. You have to do the raw diet correctly. But there are many ways to do it correctly.
@@nogames8982how
@@nogames8982I tried giving it my all however knowing how much to give I ended up beefing him up too much
What about adding fulvic acid? Do you know what causes calcium oxalate stones?
My vet tried to convince me to feed my dog Hill's prescription dry dog food (full of corn, soy & crap) for the rest of my dog's life. I said, "No thanks." I don't trust most veterinarians any more.
I just found out that spinach is one of the biggest culprits for oxilates, that was in humans so I guess it will be the same for dogs. A guy was having green smoothies every day for health, after a while he was in agony with stomach pains, ended up having to have an operation to remove the stones, Dictors said spinach was not as great as many people think.
Probably it depends on the amount .... like with evetything.
I believe in variety. @petrinakeay4075

My rescue Daschund mix died of cancer at 10 yrs old. I began giving him home cooked food, avoided shots and used natural flea deterrents. But he’d try to bury some of the supposedly good quality canned dog food his earlier years til his last. Wish I knew better! Yes, he’d sometimes turn his heavy double dog dish over in protest, sometimes go get a bathroom rug to cover it- I should have took a clue. We did give him plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables- but that canned food likely had cancerous causing stuff. Rest in peace Lorenzo! ♥️
❤
Can't trust these companies .. rip Lorenzo
@@SalBlydenburgh- Thanks & you’re right, I won’t trust their food again.
Good name. They communicate what they like . Now you know better. My Condolences to you❤
ATtention- how to get your dog to eat everything i. Their bowl- mix in some bone broth- make it from bones n leftovers of turkey, chicken, beef- get chicken feet, cheap good source from butcher- takes 6- 12 hrs simmer in stock pot- freeze it- mix small amount in bowl- enough to coat- Mary Nest on yt has good recipe- its full of minerals n collegen- dogs love it
Yes, your dog is a hyper carnivore, absolutely, and grains, fruits, and vegetables, are contraindicated in their diet.
I agree! It doesn't cost any extra to save your bones in the freezer, then make a stock in the slow cooker overnight. Good nutrition in there and very hydrating!
Thank you for this video, and hope your arm gets better soon💕🐾
Dr. Jones praying you get better soon. Thank you for this information
I always add lots of different veggies to my dogs food. Veggies, meat and a little kibble seems to have been OK for my boy as he’s almost 16 and still going strong.
Hi, Tula. Tula Tuesday here in the Philippines.❤
Yayyy! Hi
Some days, if our families dinner has all ingredients that are safe for the dog, I just make enough for a portion for him. He gets the veggies and fruit with his raw food every day. At first I fed him an expensive kibble, but the raw food, with the daily add ins costs about the same. He's a large breed, and feeding him works out to about $100 per month. The kibble was 80$ per bag, which lasted 3 weeks.
Ty for helping us instead of robbing us🙌 Truly a rarity and I Ty😊
Love this channel. The best advice ever for taking great care of your dogs! I have three dogs. All of them eat everything mentioned except the cinnamon. That will be added now. Everyone thought I was nuts feeding my dog sardines, spinach, carrots, yogurt, blueberries, apples and turmeric…..except my dogs. They love them all. I have no issue taking the time to do the right thing for my dogs. I enjoy making healthy foods for my dogs that will hopefully give them a long and illness free future. Whatever I can do to keep them healthy, energetic and out of the vets office from getting ill from all the garbage food that is sold in the grocery stores. I am a widow with little fur balls to keep me company. They are my life, my responsibility and my pleasure to care for. Always excited to see the docs new videos.
God bless from another widow with a Maltipoo. I feel exactly the same!
12 year old pure bread deer chihuahua here in Seattle, WA.
I've been making my dog's food since I got him at 10 weeks. I found your channel right away. He loves veggies, fruits and herbs! His coat is super shiny. He's a Cavalier, 11 months today.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much,So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living in Texas now..
Start them early & they eat almost everything. Tho raw meats & eggs are best avoided for indoor pets as these run the risk of salmonella & other bacteria which indoor pets may not have immunity to
Forever in this man's debt, god bless you Dr Andrew Jones. Just managed to get a copy of your book, excellent information. Many thanks again.
I stopped vaxxing my dogs and make their food. Best thing I ever did! They are happy to eat everyday (unlike kibble where they would often go to their bowls and walk away) and has cleared up allergies, skin issues, itchy & stinky ears. They are both rescues and had tough lives before they got to me:). A Jackapoo and Shihpoo. I just want to give them the best lives possible because they deserve it! Daily exercise is important too.
My greyhounds also love pumpkin and sweet potato and peas and broccoli. I give them lots of veggies and fish also rice and white fish/ sardines. They get a variety
Study says peas shouldn’t be included in
I read rice not good cause ferments in their gut. I've done alot of research cause my 13 yo Maltese got elevated liver enzymes. I cook him chicken tenders and thighs cutting up half and half. Also read we shouldn't mix dry kibble with human food cause it is digested differently. I think what happened is my husband and I would feed him canned chicken until I read contents which included 50% sodium. So does canned salmon, sardines, mackerel, etc. Have to read contents.
Mine eat thos about 3 times a week and their poos are the best eg not runny. They have glossy coats. They are rescue greyhounds .I also feed them chicken livers kidney some liver all in moderation and the vet said they're fab when they got their booster jags. People on my greyhound groups also feed their dogs rice same as me and they're fine. It soothes tummies when I'll.
@shirlielyall-rodgers251 Yes, I feed my dog homemade food with brown rice and brown rice with wild rice and sometimes white rice 😊
There's rice and peas and carrots in kibble and canned dog food so it's all OK I just go by rule of poop. At the moment my dogs have perfect sausages at the moment so I'm happy
Love this advice! My dog loves most veggies and fruit I give to him and will mooch when I am eating my daily salad. BUT blueberries he spits out and has done since he was a baby. He literally can detect them even if they are buried. And I give Syd cranberry powder and ground flax seed in the morning and tumeric for his dinner.
Thank you. I have asked about healthy food for my pets for years with disappointment from vets pushing kibble only.
Our Corgis LOVE carrots! We give them carrots as their treat and they are in the Farmer's Dog that we feed them. Actually, they love all kinds of veggies: apples, cucumbers, red bell peppers, carrots, lettuce, Napa cabbage, red cabbage, blueberries. They get a handful of blueberries with a couple tablespoons of kefir and half a hard boiled egg for breakfast. They LOVE that!
Your Corgis have excellent taste! ❤️😊
I can't make my own comment for some reason, so I chose yours to reply on! Thank you @bf9436 😊
My dog loves blueberries! Only she likes to rub her neck on them!😂
I fed my rescue Jack Russell a whole food diet for the last 5 years of his life. Organic meats and fish, spinach, sweet potatoes, apples and blueberries. He also loved to eat raw snap peas. I had him until he was 19 1/2 years old. It’s been just a little over a year and I still miss him everyday. I never knew about adding turmeric or cinnamon, yogurt, flax seed or oils. Although he did get some cbd oil fairly regularly, specially after he started having seizures the last few years. It could be fun to freeze some of these items during summer and let the dog have his own form of ice cream…
Tula is so precious 😍
If possible, could you do a segment about the smaller dogs and what special needs they might have. As in the tiny long hair chihuahua that only weighs 5 pounds. When you say so much of something for a 20 pound dog, I'm thinking that would be a pinch for my tiny chihuahua. Praying that you're not in a lot of pain and healing fast 👑🙏💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯

My golden retriever is 17. She had a tumor removed from her neck four years ago tomorrow. The vet said he didn't get clean margins so she had cancer. I still feed her wet food but also hamburger and chicken breast.
i broke my collar bone/acromioclavicular seperation and i can tell ya for awhile back then percocet 10 were the only way i could sleep. Talk about learning new ways to get comfy. Doc has healing vibes going his way
Our Pomeranian had a heart problem and we switched all his foods to these- even when it had to be made into mush the last months of his life. At one point, when he was getting a checkup early into the diagnosis, our vet says, "Whatever you're doing, keep it up- he looks great." We were blessed to have him for 2 more years. We'll never feed our pups "dog food" again.
i never do, we cook for our dogs, all the foods hementioned we gave

Thank you! That awful dog food is disgusting. I feel bad for people who can’t afford good food.
I’m assuming some of these should be cooked first, but I just got some organic baby food that is made of pumpkin, apple and cinnamon! I can squeeze it right in my buddy’s food!
I wish he were more food motivated, like he was when I first adopted him; things like frozen gluten-free pizza and Brussels sprouts disappeared if I left it unattended where he could reach it. Now he’s spoiled and I don’t care!
Different topic: I’m so afraid he’s going to get Lyme like I have, so I’m extremely careful with my yard! I’ve seen dogs with Lyme, and they must be in constant pain. 😢 You are SO KIND, Doctor! 🙏🩷
Check out Dr. Patrick Jones, he was a vet & herbalist, also has products & also an online school! I think he’s from around Missouri but i really don’t remember! He was using Teasel Root to help people with Lyme Disease but I don’t know if it’s safe for animals.
I was at the dollar store and seen people buy toxic pet food. I tried explaining the chemicals, dyes, etc., the pet owner told me to mind my own business, my ❤ broke for her pets. My friend in ND feeds her cats horrible canned cat food. They are so sick, diabetes, cancer, so frustrating, no one listens. Some people have no business having children or pets. Anyway, my dogs veggies are steamed for just a few minutes, (1/2 raw). The meat is seared, (you dont want to cook all the nutrients out). I save all vegetable and meat juice and add to the meals. Good luck❤

@@roxane7432 Thank you for your response. People really don’t realize what they are doing to themselves, but especially their pets. For instance, my friend said that tap water was ok for dogs but not people. I was surprised she didn’t think pets needed good water as well. They have bodies that need the right things. Same with foods. I used to wonder why dog foods put pea protein, extra starches, etc. in the dog food, and would t buy it. Now I’d never buy that stuff!
@@ANIMAL-nl3nx Thank you for the info! I do have natural tick and bug repellent sprayed in my yard and use organic things on my dog. My naturopath told me that original Listerine kills ticks and to spray it in my yard and use it on my dog, so I use that as a backup and wipe him off when he comes in from outside because I’ve developed such severe allergies.
I will look that up because I have all the herbs and teasels already.

I feed raw carrot, broccoli stems and chunks of swede for something to chew on. They love it. They get raw liver ( the bits we don’t want to eat) raw duck or chicken necks. We make dogs exist on cooked food which isn’t their natural diet. Any raw food always cones from a safe source and the kibble is of high quality, my dogs have lived from 13 to 16 years. Oh and they get some oily fish and the oil from the sardine tin if it is olive oil and they lick out the yogurt pots. They go nuts for frozen blueberries.

Dr. Jones, thank you! for everything you’re doing.
i am a vegetarian so my Chiweenie gets lots of lentils, which he loves. When I adopted him he had obvious bald spots and also shed a lot of hair, had gingivitis, dirty teeth and diahhrea. Now after a year of clay, psyllium and flaxseed his digestion is fine, the other issues cleared up and he gets steamed veggies almost every day. I got the bald spots on his ears and chest to grow hair with Ketoconazole creme (apparently Chiweenies get a fungus that prevents hair growth, anyway it works). I also give him fresh fish from local ponds, organic kibble and unrefined coconut oil mixed into his beans and mashed fresh veggies. He is a Hunza puppy now! I try and advose this for cats as well. No one should rely on commercial animal feed solely or at all if you do not have to. I have seen dogs live over twenty years with proper food and care.
