Get Jamie some disposable gloves for her kitchen so she doesn’t have to touch the raw meat with her bare hands 😊 I have the same issue not wanting to touch raw meat so I just get disposable gloves for that process
They have gloves she can use so she isn't bothered by touching the chicken... Idk if she has a worry about getting burnt but maybe get her some fun gloves for that when she cooks & other fun kitchen gear that's stitch butterflies purple her fav designs so she's more drawn to using them to cook more.... Ty for being amazing parents and allowing her to be independent and telling her how capable she is of doing anything she wants... So many parents that have kids with learning or developmental delays disable their kids more by not letting them do that cause of their fear what can go wrong which makes them not want to do it and disables them more...
I love Jamie! She said she didnt like knives. They have sets of knives on Amazon for kids that actually cut food, but they wont cut you. I bought some for my daughter with autism to help her learn. I grab them from time to time myself.
I was just going to suggest something like that. While she has a fear of knives, she will need to address that in order to help her be self sufficient in her tiny home.
Something you might do is get her a 'kitchen' tablet with instructional videos made by Tristan Aaron and whoever else has a recipe to share that are step by step of how to prepare meals so she can follow along at her own pace. Like make an individual video of each step and then save them on the tablet in a folder so she can go step-by-step at her own pace and replay things if she needs to without getting lost or the process going too fast.
Get Jamie disposable gloves to handle raw meat if she doesn't like to touch it. As she doesn't like knifes start with smaller carving knifes to get use to. I am so proud of you Jamie! Small steps to accomplish big things. You will love your own little house so much and you will get use to cooking for yourself. Small steps. You are a star.⭐⭐
@@jennifertriden4837 I was also going to suggest tongs. I hate touching meat as well and use tongs all the time. Surprisingly the only meat that doesn't gross me out touching is hamburger.
It’s great to see Jamie learning how to cook for herself the more you cook with her the more comfortable and confident she will become ( we have a special needs granddaughter who lives with us it took about 2 yrs for me to teach her and now she can make soup grilled cheese sandwiches omelettes and she likes helping me cook as well so Jamie will get there too
Since Jamie doesn't like knives, a kitchen food scissors would be good for her to cut cooked food. We have a toaster oven/air fryer. It's a toaster, air fryer, oven. It would be great for Jamie.
Thanks for sharing a quality product right before the holidays. When you know it adds to the quality of your life, it may bless someone else as well. Promos and advertising are a part of life, word of mouth is what I listen to. I’m excited for Jamie and her new adventure into independent living!

If she doesn't clean out her air fryer, especially after each use, which can sometimes be tricky, that could lead to fire. just be very careful. she could also use tongs to put meat in the air fryer if she doesn't want to touch the meat, just needs to know that raw meat touched the tongs so needs to wash them to reuse them.

For wings, because they are greasy, I've started them and then air fryer got super smoky and if I would have left it, it would have started a fire. Yes, I did clean out my air fryer from before and I don't have the drawer air fryer either, I have a Ninja Speedi so after each use, you can steam function to clean it but it still happens.
You should get Jamie the kids perfect kitchen set it is 4 knives a cutting board and a potato peeler that will not cut you we bought it for my kids and it is the greatest thing I have found for my kitchen. I think it would be perfect for her
Next time Jamie doesn't want to touch something give her a glove. Or show her with tongs so she can do it herself. That's good you are teaching her.
Jamie, ur awesome ❤
