i didn't realise they are now making a physical device. And what makes this even more interesting is the ability to customize which frequencies get amplification and by how much. I have had some trouble with people not being able to hear me when i call using the app on my phone.. through painfull trial and error.. apparently pressing the speaker button improves the microphone's ability to send the audio of my voice to the person i am speaking to on the call.. but this is problematic because it reduces my privacy on the call when i am talking to people in public spaces.. because the audio is very loud coming out of the speakers and people around me can hear it. And this kind of makes me uncomfortable using it. I hope they can fix that.. perhaps adding some way to adjust microphone level within the app and perhaps showing how loud the microphone is getting signal from my voice within the app. Sadly, the transcription is often very bad.. so so bad that it is unusable.. I am not sure what i can do to get better transcription.. I have some important phone calls to make and getting accurate transcription is essential.. without it.. i may as well not even make the call.. it creates more confusion for me and the person i am speaking to.. since the person i am speaking to can not see the transcription and see if it is what they are actually saying and how far off it is on what i am seeing in the captions.
A quesion i have for you.. you mentioned that you have the device at home and the app on your phone.. are you using the same phone number they provided to you for both the device and your mobile app? or did you get two different phone numbers from CaptionCall .. one for the home device and the other for your phone app?
