    I do not have a landline plug on my wall or phone service will this still work on wifi without connecting wires? when I chatted with the chat app that tiold me about phone I asked her if I should turn my phone on with my router was told not neccessary, is this right? I do have internet.

      Hi Linda. If you use the ClearCaptions-provided home captioning phone, you’ll need an active phone line (for PSTN connection) and an active internet connection. If you have internet service in your home but don’t have a phone number to make and receive in-home calls, we can provide a dedicated phone number for you to use with your ClearCaptions Phone.
      Your captioning service is enabled as soon as we create your account at no cost and register your phone. Getting started is easy and we’ll help you through the process. Just call us at 866-246-1931 or visit clearcaptions.com to learn more.

    Does it have other language settings apart of english?

    Do this phone have caller ID?

    Ok not happy there's no redial button. But mine is all set up except the flasher light keeps flashing even when I'm touching the phone and after raising the ring volume my speaker light is staying on red. Called Cust Sup to find out why but maybe you can answer sooner. TY!!

      Hello. We're sorry you're having this experience. Please make sure your handset is set firmly in the cradle or it will not hang up. Another indicator is the Light Bar on top of the phone that illuminates when you have an incoming call.

    Is this phone using Android OS?

      Hi Pheara. For mobile phone devices, the ClearCaptions Mobile app is only for use on Apple iPhones® running iOS® version 12.0 or greater. 

      As the app becomes available for additional models and for the Android platform, information will be added to the clearcaptions.com website. You can also call for more information by dialing 866-246-1931.

    If a user decides to terminate their Internet service at a later time -and not establish a new service, will the user need to return the phone?

    What could is this? If you don't have internet? And landlines are becoming absolute? Why not bring out a app?

    What if I have my phone place on an end table nowhere near where my modem is in the house and I never got around to setting up WiFi yet? What then?

    This entire idea, service and product was great in the 1980's.
    It's a scam and an antiquated, useless, expensive obsolete product.
    It already exists in the form of talk to text, on a cell phone, that isn't attached to the wall, and, it's easier to use and costs pennies!
    Why would anyone want this? It's useless!
