Thank you for posting this, I questioned how my new aids were working because I was still asking people to repeat themselves. I had my audiologist do a LSM and found out that they were indeed flat in the high frequencies much like your example here before adjusting. It has made a world of difference!

I wish my sales man / audiologist knew how to adjust my hearing aids. They were adjusted in unison with now regard that I have severe hearing loss in my right ear. Even after about no less than 20 adjustments he didn't get it right, 18 years later and the right H.A. sound is ver very weak.

Thanks. very informative. but i still don't quite understand how the probe 'hears' what the patient hears just by being inside his ear canal. isn't that information only available after the cochlea interprets ( or misinterprets ) the incoming frequencies?
