At 9:06 where you mentioned about the chrome wheel not being fully molded, l saw that on mine as well. But I was able to use a little filler putty to fill in the areas.
That kind of freightliner I definitely like .I dont like the new freightliner. Trucks .I sure miss the freightliner cabover trucks definitely a great build my friend great job start to finish
Freightliner builds one of today’s most popular trucks, the Cascadia. Guarantee everyone has seen one out there. Italeri makes amazing truck kits. Happy to see they have licensed their kits for a stateside release.
Very nice build. Just got my first AMT truck, a Mack, after many years of building cars. I'm returning to the hobby and I'm happily amazed at all the new products out there for modelers that can help them do a better, more realistic job. These products weren't around in the 1960s.
Pat, That's outstanding that you're getting back into the hobby. You're right about the plethora of modeling products! -PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
OMG you build the best stuff. Reminds me of cruising the department stores in the early 80s w/ my parents. I know it’s Italeri, but let’s pretend it’s AMT......
I've never built a truck and just got my first one. I was looking around for custom decals and found some for the rig in "Big Trouble in Little China" for the "Pork Chop Express". Guess I'll be buying one of these for that build lol
Great video, and a great kit! Working on it currently. I did have a question about the wheels rolling, since the instructions do not tell me to not use glue when installing the wheels on the axle's, but your video already answered that one. Wheels ARE meant to rotate. I plan to hook this Freightliner to a AMT Texaco tanker I built about 20+ years ago, that has stood alone, and been packed, and un packed for years. Freightliner will look great with Texaco decals, and paint scheme! In case any of your other viewers need any ideas.
Hey that turn out real nice buddy. I also like the way that rig looked without the sleeper... Great build and keep them coming, always look forward to seeing yur video.👌
Watching your videos make me want to build kits so bad. It's a shame AMT kits are so rare where I'm from and the only available ones are Tamiya kits, which are very expensive and limited in their models.
Ben, They are close enough to be a fairly good match! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
I know it is kinda pricey if you can find it but would love if you did the Black Diamond Scania from Revell of Germany. Big Rigs seem to be your thing Doug. Wish you well, with everything going on. Stay you!!
I'm not sure why Tound 2 decided to rebox Italeri kits in AMT boxes but the good news is that the kits themselves are far better quality than most if what AMT has offered truck modelers.
K, No but Plaskit used to make a resin conversion (Plaskit TC2KFW) but I don't know if their still in business. PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug

higuys looks extremely strange and is not model making!
No that guys name is hipiguys workshop I like him butttt he doesn't build them on most
So I prefer right on replicas
I'm glad I am making this a part of my model semi truck fleet.

M, Well there's always onliline ordering for HobbyLinc, Mega Hobby and eBay of course. Start with something basic! -Doug
Would a 1/25 scale trailer look ok next to this model?
I can't seem to find the trailer I want in 1/24, 1/25 seems to be more common
