I'm building the Smokey and the Bandit Kenworth Bandit#2 and the AMT W925 Kenworth Model kit is just too much work while the Kenworth W900 Aerodyne Tractor 1:25 Scale Revell #85-1507 -Model Kit same one I have, now that I look at that kit, I believe I can do mix the AMT cab and small bunk, on the Revell Kit. I looked in the box and it already has a very short wheelbase and I never actually put the cab parts together from the AMT kit, so maybe I'll make a video and see if this conversion works maybe with a little bit of scrap styrene parts to make a cab brace. Thanks for what you do, this build inspired me to get these kits I haven't finished done when my arms are feeling better. I have rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative disk disease so bad I can barely do too much which includes playing guitar and working on my bicycle as well.

Great work! I love how the brown oil paint wash really brings out all the rivets and lines in that Cat engine; I'm going to try that on my next engine.

Cool kits! I have crushed 4 or those now, under my high heels 😊and being cheap and one piece frames and almost toy-like, they were robust and held up well! I can stand on them full weight in heels and they don't crush (rightaway), and that makes it so much fun! A friend of mine built them and let me crush them, to put on my channel. Sorry if I offended you or anyone. It's my fun! 🥰
Mary, Well, I have to say that's the most unusual way to enjoy a model collection I've ever heard of. I should also add that on this channel we prefer to help modelers build, them not destroy them. Try building them - you might like it! -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas Sorry, I tried but I'm horrible at it. But I love watching them get built, I follow a lot of 'builders' on here. I respect their hard work and attention to detail. You did an awesome job 👍. I drive truck for a living and unfortunately the engine is a big cam Cummins, not a cat. I haven't put models together since i was a kid. I got this kit a year ago finally have the time to put it together
KT, Thanks for the info and thanks for sharing. I just have to wonder though, why does this kit's valve covers have script on them that says, "3408 CAT" with specific paint code details in the instructions for that script. No, it's not a great kit. In fact it's quite terrible. The fact that some guy with a TH-cam channel dedicated to scale modeling can make it look good doesn't make it a good model.
In the process of building this now. Only issue so far is; after I sprayed the frame, I was sanding paint off one of the axles and it twisted off. Took 2 attempts to get the superglue to hold. Gonna paint mine with Testors Arctic Blue Metallic over black primer and bright silver. Thanks for all the tips!
Sean, It's an older mold. Make sure the frame is straight before you start and test fit everything before you add glue! PS, please help us reach more modelers by subscribing if you haven't done so already. -Dou

That was a nice build to watch. But one thing that surprised me at the end you spent some time getting rid of mould lines, and gaps in some of the components but left the interior tab holes exposed in the back of the sleeper. None the less like I said it was a neat build to see come together!
I just finished this kit. Really nice build. I found that a lot of the parts just snapped in place which was nice. Same issue with the hood touching on the air cleaner tanks. Also part #73 exhaust collector, which is installed to the frame first, might not align correctly with the engine exhaust manifold when that's installed. I'm thinking that part #73 and part #71, the crossover pipe, might be added after the engine is installed to ensure proper alignment. I went with the "Lightening Express" theme using Testors Deja Bleu for the exterior. Interior is builders discretion. Applying the decals now and looking to see just how they apply to the hood. Instructions show one thing, the box art shows something different. Might just have to wing it.

Stanley Baker Revell Germany does make a Marmon Kit. Unfortunately it’s just their Peterbilt kit with a Marmon grill and some Marmon decals. You’d have to go third party and get resin parts to get a proper Marmon.
