iPhone 14 Pro good for Stock Video?

- The iPhone 14 Pro can be a great tool to create stock video. Several people have asked me if footage from smartphone sales. I can confirm that I have sold many clips filmed with a smart phone and the iPhone 14 pro has a few features that set it apart.
There are some shortcomings, and I would still prefer to film planned shoots with my Sony A7iv, but I don't always have that phone with me and sometimes the perfect scene presents itself. I show a few clips here of a Cessna taking off on a dirt runway. It was unexpected and the iPhone was all that I had available. I was surprised at the capability and stabilization filming handheld.
Use what you have and focus on the content. Not all of the clips here are stock footage worthy, but it does show examples of the quality and shortcomings of using a smartphone.

Nice one Boyce👍
Thanks for watching! Appreciate your kind support.
Great job Boyce! I’ve been using the OSMO Mobile 6, would recommend it. Love the footage of the plane taking off!!
I’m getting and OSMO for sure. The plane footage surprised me. It looked better than I expected and I bet it sells a time or two.
Great tips. I have also sold a few images shot with iPhone, even previous versions.
Thanks. I have as well. The subject matters most.
Great stuff
So glad you found it helpful.
Found you via your Zeapon review.. I haven't thought about the Stock Footage sales. I have a second shooter rig. That not only a lot longer than the Zeapon and I could mount it to a cart to make it more portable and get some Timelapse of beach footage.. Very inspirational to think I could be making some extra coin with the gear I already own.. Thank you.
It’s not fast or easy, but if your stick with it, you will have extra income every month. Good luck to you and thank you for watching and subscribing.
@@boycefitzgerald yea these rigs are not fast and neither is Timelapse. I have done dozens of fence builds and other Timelapse, including putting myself multiple times in a video plus interview shots. It’s a great tool.
@@SuperMouseDV - you have the right attitude to be successful and I commend you.
Nice ! Very beautiful, Only the timelap was not sharp quality. I live in the Netherlands and we don’t have beautiful places here like you have there, its kinda flat without mountains or things but im gonna give it a shot today. Thank you
The Netherlands is beautiful in different ways with lakes, flowers, picturesque cities. Thanks for watching and best of luck.
It totally is!!!🎉
Some people think GoPro footage doesn’t sell…. Another subject for another time.
Hey Boyce did you use camera app for this or another app like Filmic Pro?
I used the camera app. I love filmic pro. But on the newer iPhones, the native app allows you to change the focus point and f-stop value after filming if you used cinematic mode. If not using a newer phone or regular video mode filmic pro is the way to go for more control. Thanks for watching.
Only the timelap was not sharp quality
You are right. I think it could be better with more experimentation and practice using different settings. Also, it was in low light which is a struggle for a small sensor. Thanks!
