- I had a comment from Misibo, Thanks for the comment Misibo asking if you could stack waypoints one on top of the other so, I decided I'd go out and try it and do this video on what I found.
Hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching as always. Be safe, Fly Safe and Have a Great day!

Good video. Short and straight to the point. So many TH-cam channels would have had a 15 minute video showing us how to do this. Thank you.
I do try to keep them short but I've been known to be long-winded too haha. Thanks for the comment.
👍
That’s awesome thankyou for doing the video
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment. Be safe
Interesting. I've tried to do it Preflight with mission planning and the waypoints fight for dominance of a given spot. This looks to work by flying the points as it were.
Yes that's the only way I could really make it work was on site. I did try it at home and it was almost impossible to do. Thanks for the comment. Be safe.
Sweet! That’s a handy way to add some creative movements. Have you ever found a way to do a waypoint mission but have manual control of camera? On my old Karma drone they had a cable cam mode where you could set points and the drone would fly along that path but you could manually control camera while it did. Was super handy for situations where you might not be able to pre plan camera angles well but can plan the flight path.
Yes, when you're setting up your waypoints you can have the camera set as manual. Then you can control your camera at that waypoint manually or you can apply it to all waypoints. Hope that helps. I may do a little short video on all the ins and outs of the waypoints 😊. Thanks for the comment.
@@dk4drones sweet!! I figured there must be some way but haven't played with waypoints enough to find it yet. Sounds like a good excuse to go fly more 😁
Found the setting! Now to test.
Now I wish there was a way to do Spotlight mode based on GPS location of remote instead of vision based tracking. I find it loses tracking when trying to use it on myself in a small boat.
Nice video, thanks for posting!
I experienced a similar problem. I defined a waypoint mission on location in my medium large garden. Looked reasonable well. However, to make the track more fluent and do some other small corrections, I tried to edit the mission offline on the controller. But that is infeasible, because you cannot zoom in far enough; the waypoint dots partly overlap and interact together. To solve it you are obliged to fly the mission again on location (with chances for new imperfections). DJI should enable a larger zoom in on the map. What do you think?
I agree with you on having a larger map as that would definitely help.
I had the same issue trying to do it at home. It's almost impossible to get one waypoint on top of the other. You can do it but it takes some patience and finagling. Thanks for the comment. Be safe
Has anyone tried to edit double dots on a 10" tablet screen?
Good question, if anybody out there's got the RCN1 controller that would be who to check with. Thanks for the question and commenting. Be safe.
Perfect.... But I am trying to do something and I will explain..
The goal is to create 2 waypoints, 1 and 2.... And tell the DJI fly to execute the other way round... That is, first waypoint 2 and then waypoint 1...
The app does not have the possibility to move waypoints.. and the option "Start from" does not solve it....
I guess I've never tried that, but I know you can set the waypoints to start at any point in the waypoint I believe. I'll have to try that myself. That sounds like an interesting exercise. Thanks for the comment. Be safe
@@dk4drones this is not exactly an exercise.....
it came out from my mind regarding a lighthouse.... I want to get above the sea about one mile, higher than the lighthouse beam, and then fly in a straightline until very near the lighthouse at the height of the beam.... I do not want to make any corrections and it has to be a straight line from the beginning...
I also do not want to stay above the sea for too long....
Using waypoints I would have to do it twice: once to set the waypoints (1, the nearest to the lighthouse and 2 above the sea 1 mile). and then start, and that's what I don't want to do.
Any ideas?
@Moroder_Drone I'm sorry, I don't think I can help you with this one. Here in the states and I'm thinking pretty much everywhere 400 ft is the highest you can fly. So the mile high flight would make this exercise impossible. Be safe don't have an answer for either. Thanks for the comment. Be safe.
@@dk4drones It does not matter much the distance.... With 400 feet you could find the same problem..
