I always loved the cliche of a wrestler crying uncle, in this case, Harley Race, to lull his opponent into a false sense of security and then, BAM! Who's your uncle now BH! Ric Flair was also a master of this.

In Dynamite's biography he mentioned how they got along. Even in Harley's book he mentioned he liked Davey and dynamite kid. Honkey Tonk Man got ruffed up pretty good by dynamite in the dressing room for bragging about how he made more money than King Harley one evening.

Like Jake the Snake wrestling for several years after Honky Tonk Man supposedly crippled him with that guitar shot.
It worsened over time. Plus, he was heavy on painkillers to subdue his pain.
Hw actually wrestled for ten more years after that. He looked horrible by them, though. He got off the juice and looked skinny and frail.
Dynamite’s back injury changed his career, but the steroids that are meant for a horse….killed the pain.
Dynamite Kid with a back injury is still better than most wrestlers
