@@kelsfitness very good when you consider the size of the sensor and the initial cost of the body. It is best used as a “vlogging” style camera, but it could easily be used as a B camera for interview styled videos or outdoor wildlife type videos. It also is great for capturing B-roll. With the right lens and good lighting, you have a really good camera to capture what you need.
@@kelsfitness get yourself a good gimbal and put a cage around your M50 (I recommend a SmallRig) and you will have a really good setup for what you are wanting to do. Also, I can’t stress enough that you will want to get yourself some different lenses. The kit lens this camera comes with is good for starters but will limit what you can shoot. Canon has expanded their series of EF-M lenses for this camera due to its popularity, so there are plenty of quality options.
I've been using my Canon M50 for about 3 months now and I've gotten great landscape shots. The auto focus is great lighting on the early morning hikes. The only trouble I've had so far is low lighting.
What lens are you using. I'm trying to get the right one for capturing nature. I've had mine for a couple years and still learning how to use it. As of right now my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra takes better pictures :(

I’ve been taking photos and doing all my videos on a canon Rebel T7 for the last few years and have been struggling to decide what camera to upgrade to next, the m50 is definitely one of my options.
Wow!! This course sounds amazing 😍 I just started doing photography so I’m nervous about posing my models and being able to keep everything perfectly exposed 😬 My first shoot was actually my uncles wedding so that was pretty scary but it went well!
I've been confused for a long time about the M50 and SL3, but this video has sorted things out for me. But it doesn't matter, because every budget camera is out of my budget.
Before you run out an buy an M50, here are a few things to think about. 1) The lack of IBIS is a real problem, especially since the best video lens for this camera (Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 with the EF-M adapter) is not stabilized. 2) This is a fine camera for casual users or vlogging. But it's not an option for serious video shooters. The 4K is virtually useless due to the huge crop, and you lose the Dual Pixel AF in 4K as well. I would consider this strictly a 1080p camera. There's nothing wrong with 1080p, but it's preferable to shoot in 4K because, even downsampled to 1080p, it looks better. Plus, 4K gives you the option to reframe shots for 1080p delivery, but the huge crop in this camera for 4K negates that advantage. 3) There's no weather sealing. If you like doing run-and-gun video, that probably includes being outside. If you unexpectedly find yourself in the rain, you will need to protect this camera somehow. 4) There's no headphone jack, so you can't monitor your audio while shooting video. 5) The future of the EOS M mount is in doubt. Canon might start using its R mount on APS-C going forward, but it's also focused on making full-frame R mount cameras so cheap that APS-C could get phased out altogether. Canon has never made a real flagship APS-C mirrorless camera. The M6 Mark II is pretty good, but it's not weather-sealed either, it doesn't have IBIS, and the EVF is not built-in or included in the base price. I would really like to see them make an M5 Mark II that is a true flagship, but I'm not holding my breath.
I began photography last November and started with the M50. I pair it primarily with a sigma 30mm 1.4 and the results have been really great for me. After almost a year I do see myself wondering about my next camera body upgrade.

I believe it’s a great camera especially for beginners, people on a budget and as a family camera to capture memories. In Australia it’s the same price as the 1500D but I feel it is still better then the 1500D in my opinion! I really loved this review, liked, been subscribed for months, so should you!

A speed booster does not make your sensor lager. It gives you the field of view from a full size sensor. But not the quality. And also, if you just want to use full size lenses (like the 100USD Canon 50mm f1.8 STM) on the M50, you can use a EF to EF-M adapter which can be bought for around 30USD. Although than the crop factor of 1.6 applies.
I have both adapters, it does not only improve field of view but also you can gain 2 f stops, which is very helpful with slower lenses. if you have F1.8 lenses it wouldnt make much difference. and for the image quality, is not that much, but you can notice a little bit of difference. Much more in low lights, which is the weakness of this camera overall.
I've had this camera for almost an year now, I love it. However I'd say that the kit lens that comes with it os not that good, mainly because of its minimum aperture. If you want a clean and noise free image, shooting at day time is perfect, but the lens does not works good at night-evening time
