Vtec, Vortec, Voltec, Ecotec and Ecoboost names are similar because they came from one guy. He recently retired and that is part of the reason why Ford dropped it's car lineup in America except for the Mustang.

My grandma even said she would like to own one (or at least the shell, she's not as fond of flames shooting out as I am, that it's "naughty"). I think the good looks killed the RX series (and its reputation). Too many people had no idea what they were buying (like people that want to feel shifting with a CVT transmission...), just that it was pretty. As such, they didn't drive them right and "babied them", which is the worse thing you can do besides running them out of oil or repeadedly driving them off a cliff. Good looks may have been thier downfall... Too many normies wanted them. Keep em' revved!
The rx7 was always rated higher than the supra in games due to its handling properties, perfect weight distribution, brakes, suspension and cog. Dyno killers arent always fast cars. Rx7 is underated in modern times. Espicially the fd series.

To say there’s a lhd 1, is false. It’s actually a 94/95 model updated with all the parts they used for the Rhd models. If you happen to come across it, you’ll notice it’s still missing a few things from it’s Rhd counterpart. It’ll always be recognized as a 94/95 model.
