I just bought my 2020 white base model 370z manual Trans. I've had it for one week now. I can't stop driving her. I named her Jazellada. I'm living my dream rn. Love the video. Great collection of clips. Awesome editing. Thanks for educating me on Datsun/Nissan history. Stoked805.
I've always loved the S130 and have grown to love the Z31. While I had to abandon my 1981 280ZX restoration (too much rust and too expensive to restore) I have gotten a nice 1987 300ZX that's 90% restored. I love that little car and will not sell it.
I have had Z cars in my life since the mid 1980's. A 240Z on bias ply tires, a 300ZX on P7s, a 350Z on Nittos and a 370Z on Pilot SS. Sprinkle in a 1971Z/28 since 1983 on gator backs and now g force tires. I have always loved all of them.
@@IdealMediaChannel . We will see. Going through a divorce and the wife took the 370Z sport touring. 😣👎. Once everything is settled I will see what I am going to do.
I bought an all-black 2019 370Z 6MT with the Sports package a couple of years ago and love it. It gives more smiles per mile than any other sports car, including a Porsche and two 60s era British sports cars, I've had.
Great video. I'll forgive you for not mentioning the talking computer in the 80's model Z affectionately known as Bytchin' Betty - "Key is in the ignition". My 1986 Maxima still talks when I get out - "Lights are on" You don't look old enough to remember lol. Well done!
Had a 1978 280z 2+2 bronze colt w/ the bulls on the side doors,Lou vets on back window, chrome rims, very aero dynamics 5 speed manual, fast cars and was a head turner…loved that style
im of the age to grow up on the z33 but i cant help but love the z31, my dad had one when i was growing up and i loved it to bits. Sadly that car now rots in our backyard but im slowly bringing her back to life!
The Z32 is still my favourite car. It was way ,way ahead of its time at its time of introduction. The interior and the engine note are still so special.
My first Z was the 280ZX in 1979. Graduated from school got a job with exxon, got a loan and bought the car off the showroom floor. Loved that car so smooth and great to drive. Next was an 84 300ZX. It was ok, bought it used and had some issues as the seller turned back the od. Nice guy. Next was a 1988 special edition turbo with Recaros. Now that was a nice car. But Moma was complaining about it taking up too much space in the garage...so I sold it. (woosy) Fast forward 20 years and I found a 91 Fairlady that needs a face lift, tummy tuck and well, a lot. A tt 2 seater. Plan to restore to her original beauty maybe with some nice wheels, front bumper facade and side skirts but nothing tacky. Too many modified look like they need a nail clipping, have an extra appendage and bow legged. The new Z? Looks nice, just maybe.
The original Datsun 'Z-car' series. Mine was a 76 280Z... Blue with 'eggshell' leather interior. Wider 'Turbine Mags' and tires... and it was a BLAST! It didn't have the Launch of the American V8's I was accustom to. But once it was moving, it could keep up with a lot of the other "Hot Rods"... and I had some GOOD Lap Times at Road Atlanta.
I've had a 73 240Z, a 77 260 Z, a 83 280ZX Turbo, and a 300 ZX 2+2 1984 which was my favorite because it gave me a little more leg room with the rear seats since I am 6'4" tall. I love them all
@@YowserUK They bought the design and then put it on their Diablo - AKA they weren't creative enough to come up with their own headlight design therefore they paid Nissan and put it on their overpriced Diablos. Fixed it, happy?

I’m almost 60 years old and yes, I was owned for 7 years 350z. Now I owner of 370z. Last one is aggressive, dynamic and etc. But when I see on the street 350z I still feel heartbeat. Perhaps that is because my 350z was modified to switch off speed limit. Many people hate Japanese sport cars and prefer made in Germany vehicles (BMW, MB AMG and etc.). Yes, they are made with big love to cars, but Z series made with big love to people who drive the Z.
Fell in love with the Zs just recently I had to get my own, found a z32 needed some love and she’s up and going now. I got so lucky found her for 3k last year lol😂
The Z32 is and always will be the best Z car. I've owned 2. My current is a 1992 turbo. It has been my dream car since it came out. I've owned two 2+2 models and I've finally got my hands on a 2+0 Torbo. After 3 years of building its close to 600whp and the most funeral car I've ever owned
I 2nd a Z build off between you 2. Here's the kicker. One of you goes 370, the other goes classic. When it's all over, raffle them off, rinse, repeat over and over with different face offs. STI VS EVO, SUPRA VS 3GT, RX7 VS 300ZX, ETC. I certainly think it could even become a netflix show or something! Assemble elite teams for each build so everything stays extra fresh, too! Let's go!🤘🏼😎
I grew up in Z cars. My dad had every single generation. I'll never forget him letting me shift as he worked the clutch as we buzzed other cars on the backroads where I grew up. As an adult me and my girlfriend would take the 350 down the coast in Oregon ripping around corners with white knuckles. Easily the best sports car ever made. I absolutely cannot wait for the 400 to come out!
When i was a kid i was totally captured by the charm and beauty of the 240/200SX and 300ZX. I would love to own at least one of the two. I love how the new 400Z looks and i can't wait to see it out there on the street where it belongs. But i also kinda fell in for the new BRZ. At some point in the future there will come a time when a decision has to made.
$55k - $72k (for the Nismo) are not even close to being cheap or offering value. Mark my words. Nissan has put the New Z out if reach for many Z fans and eventually because of this the new Z will probably go out of production just like the over-priced 300Z back in the 90's. Way to go Nissan!!
Love my Z32... have had to work on it recently over the past summer. Hands are cut. Have had to buy shorty wrenches and long needle nose pliers to get to some of the metal spring steel clamps. Lots of the rubber hoses are baked on at this point in its lifetime and from my experience, you need to undo a lot of these hoses to get to anything (especially if you're removing the plenum) which results in having to replaced your worn out hoses. Electrical connectors are a pain. Everything is a pain on the car. I can go on for a while... Great car to drive, pain in the ass to work on. Just be weary
Wow the history of the Nissan Z. Learned something new...the X stood for luxury. I am in love. The Z32 2+2 was my first car. 1991 Midnight Pearl Blue, leather interior, manual transmission, I even had the spongy OEM spoiler on the back....had to replace it twice because those spoilers would bend and warp after a while. When I told an acquaintance I had one he exclaimed “Oh no! You are one of them! That car has a cult following!” I was floored. I didn’t know that at the time even though I was part of the z club...I was the only chick there and loved it. Those guys always gave me a second opinion when it came to car issues. They were forever, swapping out parts to their cars, upgrading engines, turning NA into turbos, automatics into manual. The dude is right... why would you by an automatic Z? 🤣🤣 Well as my baby got older I had access to a lot of stock parts for free due to that club. I do believe I was a little obsessed. When parked every time I walked away from her I couldn’t help but always give her one last look. God she was beautiful. Well...one cold night of 2019 I was sitting at a traffic light for like 10 secs and out of nowhere a drunk driver in a commercial vehicle ran smack into me. I walked away without a scratch but I couldn’t save her. She was totaled. I thanked her for the good times and the challenges. I bought her when she was 7 years old When I tell you I loved that car!!!!! I loved that car!! I had her for 20+ years. It was a big deal for me to get her. I was told I couldn’t and shouldn’t get that kind of car (was a young mom of two at the time). Well there was the “family car” and there was MY car. That was the first car in my life that took my breath away when first laid eyes on it. The styling was ahead of its time. When my sons got older I taught them to drive a stick with that car. That car outlasted everyone else’s car I knew. And I drove that sucker. Every time I see a Z32 on the road today I feel some type of way...nostalgic. I miss that car. When she got even older I wouldn’t let anyone work on her. I had stopped going to the dealer after a while because she was becoming a dinosaur there. I had to find a mechanic that had strong knowledge, skill, and the same love for the Z. I also preferred him being a Z owner himself. You know I found one. He treated her good. I learned the more you work on your car (dealer, swap meets, junkyard, facebook groups, z clubs) the more you become attached. The 400Z? I’m still watching and waiting. 👀 I am getting another Z32 soon this one I’ll call Xena and she will need some company in the driveway. Long live the Z!
You definitely need to keep a wary eye on other road users. Mine was nearly totaled by a red light runner a few years back one Saturday night. Keep an eye out there are still some fine examples out there.
@@PHRCH Mine is midnight blue with blue interior! Had it for 22 years now and has original 133k klms on odo! Still nothing out there like it- not even Skyline! I know as I've owned both! Squid and Brad ya’ll are always clutch on the videos and I picked up a ‘10 370Z from auction jumping on that Z34 train hype before It leaves the station. As much we all want a new S-Chassis the V35/36/37 and Z33/Z34 has filled that void the S chassis left us.
My first new car out of the showroom was a 1974 240Z. My second new car was a 1977 280Z. I wish I had one of them. Loved the 280z with a 5-speed manual and AC.
I still have 350 z roadster, looks pretty much stock except wheels, suspension and engine modified. I have a GTR twin turbo kit from HK Power (Germany) with 4 mappings on it. 380hp for rainy days, 460hp for normal driving, 520hp for the Nuerburgring and pops and bangs. Great car and fun to drive. I used to have the Z31 turbo too. After modifieing the suspension a great car too. Very reliable and good for daily use. My ultimate Z would be the 280 with today's technology. But the best stock sports cars I had, was the C5 and C6 Corvette. A real sports car like Ferrari and the likes.
I’ve never been a Nissan/Datsun guy but I had a 240Z fall into my lap at a stupid price that I couldn’t refuse. If you’ve never driven a classic Z, you need to. It’s an experience few cars can replicate
It’s over 15 years since I’ve been following the car building scene. With all the the new techs and styles I think it’s time to get back turning wrenches and busting knuckles in the garage.

I'm definitely getting a 350z soon
🙏 I hope it's a good one!
I might sell my 350z to get the 400z, hehe.
@@IdealMediaChannel it'll definitely be a good one ✨
Ive owned the 240Z, 350Z and 370Z. Love the 370Z engine so much that I now drive a G37 IPL. I will be a Z fan forever.
So is a 2022 Z in your future or what?
@@IdealMediaChannel At 71 years old I need a ride that is more comfortable than the Z. I have my eye on the Q60 Red Sport 400.

I own 3 Zs the z31, 350z and the 370z they are amazing cars ❤️😩
Yes the classic Jaguar E Type reimagined by the Japanese.
Nissan 400Z: A very modern version of a Japanized Jaguar E-Type
I've always loved the S130 and have grown to love the Z31. While I had to abandon my 1981 280ZX restoration (too much rust and too expensive to restore) I have gotten a nice 1987 300ZX that's 90% restored. I love that little car and will not sell it.
Love the car model history/progression videos, keep 'em coming 👍
I have had Z cars in my life since the mid 1980's. A 240Z on bias ply tires, a 300ZX on P7s, a 350Z on Nittos and a 370Z on Pilot SS. Sprinkle in a 1971Z/28 since 1983 on gator backs and now g force tires. I have always loved all of them.
So are you gonna complete the collection and get the new Z?
@@IdealMediaChannel . We will see. Going through a divorce and the wife took the 370Z sport touring. 😣👎. Once everything is settled I will see what I am going to do.
350z is my generations I hope the new age Z can Mach up to past models
I bought an all-black 2019 370Z 6MT with the Sports package a couple of years ago and love it. It gives more smiles per mile than any other sports car, including a Porsche and two 60s era British sports cars, I've had.
Me wanting a 300zx :
Appreciatation : Oh did you say something?
Yeah, I mean they're classic cars now, literally 30 years old.
@@IdealMediaChannel yeah true, haha you liked and replied the second I posted this comment 😂, keep up the great work man!
You dodged a bullet, try working on one, you’ll change your mond
So excited for the next Z...Don't let us down Nissan.
Wow all of them are amazing
Great video. I'll forgive you for not mentioning the talking computer in the 80's model Z affectionately known as Bytchin' Betty - "Key is in the ignition".
My 1986 Maxima still talks when I get out - "Lights are on" You don't look old enough to remember lol. Well done!
My favorite Z-
before 400z - 370z
after 400z - 400z
Yeah I'm really pumped for the 400!
Lmao

My 77 280 is my baby. Had it for 15 years now and will never get rid of it. Its been interesting watching the prices go up so much over that time.
I don’t know why everybody says the 370 looks better then the 350 I think that the 350 looks way better 😅 that’s why I bought one
I owned z 350 too
370z definitely looks better. 370z body is godly stop coping
Had a 1978 280z 2+2 bronze colt w/ the bulls on the side doors,Lou vets on back window, chrome rims, very aero dynamics 5 speed manual, fast cars and was a head turner…loved that style
Last time I was this early brad just got rid of the m3 for the 911
im of the age to grow up on the z33 but i cant help but love the z31, my dad had one when i was growing up and i loved it to bits. Sadly that car now rots in our backyard but im slowly bringing her back to life!
awesome. Good luck with the restoration, that's too great a car to leave in the yard. Sadly the only Datsun my dad owned was a 180B estate LoL
I only like the Datsun 240z

Z32 over everything.
Z32 owners are still toxic I see always want to make it a competition when they are all the same family
@@joestuehmer7967 if you wanna see toxic amongst Z32 owners you should see the animosity between some TT and NA owners lol
I'm a 240Z S30 fan.....that will never change and I want one. With the 400Z coming, I'm getting one.
hey your back where were you cuz only Brad was making the vids?
I made videos! They were just about my GX and you probably didn't watch it haha
@@IdealMediaChannel I did watch it but the last 8 or so are only Brad and YTGF
The Z32 is still my favourite car. It was way ,way ahead of its time at its time of introduction. The interior and the engine note are still so special.
James looks a little different in this Up To Speed Episode
I grew up with the 280zx. I’ve never owned a Z but have loved every generation. The 400 looks freaking awesome.
If the fairlaidy is done right, it's the best looking by far
Agreed!
What yall did with brad
Me thinking he got kidnapped
He's on vacay!
C'mon yo btw can y'all shout out my channel I wanna save for some ideal merch
The original Datsun 'Z-car' series. Mine was a 76 280Z... Blue with 'eggshell' leather interior. Wider 'Turbine Mags' and tires... and it was a BLAST!
It didn't have the Launch of the American V8's I was accustom to. But once it was moving, it could keep up with a lot of the other "Hot Rods"... and I had some GOOD Lap Times at Road Atlanta.
"Wang Yan Midnight" - Ideal media
I lost it lmao
I've had a 73 240Z, a 77 260 Z, a 83 280ZX Turbo, and a 300 ZX 2+2 1984 which was my favorite because it gave me a little more leg room with the rear seats since I am 6'4" tall. I love them all
300zx is so sexy love those lights
omg you liked my comment
Lamborghini copied them for the diablo :)
@@drenchy1011 not quite, Lamborghini bought them of Nissan for the Diablo.
@@YowserUK They bought the design and then put it on their Diablo - AKA they weren't creative enough to come up with their own headlight design therefore they paid Nissan and put it on their overpriced Diablos. Fixed it, happy?
@@drenchy1011 Yes. Although not the design, they bought the actual headlights themselves directly from Nissan, complete with nissan logo (which they covered up with a carbon strip on the Diablo).
The first car I really fell in love with was the 90s 300z I still love it
I love all of them. I have a 370z and I always get into the car feeling like it’s the first time
I’m picking up the 400z for sure!!!
Owned two 280Z's and a 350Z. Loved them. Some issues, but lot's of fun to drive.
I just finished building my z32 and after a full engine rebuild I can confirm they are a pain in the ass to work on
Wow. The dedication on this man.
The 1970 - 78 original body style Zs and the 370z are the best looking.
Im very happy i own a 300zx and glad its getting all this attention online finally.
Owned my FairLadyZ (300zx) for 3 years and it’s been the best purchase I’ve made hands down. She’s expensive but was and always will be my dream car
My dad had a 280z when I was a kid so that will always be my favorite.
Wanna see my 300 zx
280ZX t-top were the most popular during the early 80's when I lived in L.A, those were the days....❤
@@rodneyvanderveen8376 wow 🙈Thank you 🙂
@@PHRCH Mine is midnight blue with blue interior! Had it for 22 years now and has original 133k klms on odo! Still nothing out there like it- not even Skyline! I know as I've owned both! If you lived in Australia I'de sell you mine so I would know you'd look after it. Jesus be back soon anyway - GodBless.
My favourite Z car is the 1981 280ZX Turbo for the snowflake mesh rims, honey comb mesh rims and the turbo crumble sound of it. 😎
I love first generation of z cars because i have my 260z 2+2 for over 37 year's it was first love
Car nerd here so yeah keep up these very informative, educational vids please....
I bought a black 370z Touring Roadster, in 2011, with 7,000 miles. Today in 2021, it has 35,532 miles on it. It's still smoking hot.
The Z 🤘🏻🤘🏻 we are sort of biased on them but yes!!!!🔥🔥🔥
It’s over 15 years since I’ve been following the car building scene. With all the the new techs and styles I think it’s time to get back turning wrenches and busting knuckles in the garage.
