Maestro eres todo un ejemplo del trabajo bien hecho, cuando sabes que algo no está bien no dudas en volver a repetirlo hasta obtener el resultado deseado, toda una lección de amor por el trabajo bien hecho 🤗💪🏹🙏
This happened to me last time I laminated using titebond 3. I added a sizing coat on both the bamboo and belly, then spread the glue, clamped the stave with 18 clamps super tight. Glue was literally oozing out the sides but when it cured I had gaps...guess the wood was super dry and it sucked too much glue
We , fortunately, never get rid of the inner little boy... otherwise you'd not be building the bow in the 1st place... justa question of how much we listen to him.
Derek i forgot if you mentioned it already in your older videos. Would you draw the bow completely to drawlength with a loose string and then jump to low brace? When do you jump from a loose string to little brace height?
I shorten the string by degrees, pulling full draw weight (if the tiller is even), to maybe 20" or so, I don't get to full draw length. I go to low brace once the tips are coming back comfortably past the brace heigh.
Hi Del, just starting my first bow, boo purple heart, was going to get some lemon wood, but have ipe . would ipe work with purple heart as a core wood. what glue do you use? and do you coat both surfaces? on previous wood working projects i have coated both. sorry for all the questions.
Purpleheart is rather heavy, but will work. I use Cascamite or Titebond III . yes I coat both surfaces, to ensure they are wetted. I usually use a lot more clamps than I did this time 😞
Been there many times! Yours is the wisdom that comes with experience. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks!
