I've got a much crappier egg beater, but I have used it once or twice over the years. Can't recall what for, something small and slow. I also have a couple braces (neither really old) and bunch of bits, recently used a regular metal bit in one to drill through a pipe to mount my satellite dish on. Was not expecting it to work as well as it did but I was too far from power and the bit was too large for my cordless.
As long as you have the energy you'll never run out of power with these old tools.
