As a former player of DN SEA client. (the only one available at that moment back in 2012-2013) this is pretty much an insult. Don't get me wrong, I love the game but with all the advances on technologies and engines, this is just "We appeal for the nostalgic on you, come and give us money for that". In the other hand you have Dragon Sword that show you that they love Dragon nest but at the same time they understand that they can go even further and "somewhat" innovate.
PD: I know they don't have the same devs (as far as I know)

As a big DN fan, I'd love to see a reworked version of the OG pc game without all the P2P stuff, as the combat (which is my personal favorite of all time) is something ive never found in any other games
Me too, I want to see a reworked version of the original, I love playing DN and it's something I can't find in newer and more popular releases over the years.

They look like the graphics from ads of low budget games that looks NOTHING like the ads 😅
what they need to make this game good is how the hitbox interacts to collision especially in pvp. DN was so good in this aspect, there was hardly no mini pauses between each hit compared to other games
Everytime you bring up some of the mmos out there, I only either know about it or remember it because of your content. I'm sitting here for this one going "....OOOOH YEEEAH THIS ONE!"

I remember when we discovered the game with some friends... I thought it was really well constructed at first. The dungeons were something i liked to play and replay for the loot (and i was rather proud to solo the bosses with my witch xD)
But then they completely change the system and it became exclusively pay-to-win :/
I truly hope this new one won't make that mistake
I hope so too but the company behind it is making be doubt. I'll be there on launch or some days after but would most likely not dive too deep yet 🤔😆

@@VitchAndVorty Yeah, there isn't much to do - not like in the early days of last game. I was on the discord server when the game opened... and I'm baffled that, amongst the bugs, the overflowing servers, the tears and the blood... there is a package to buy a costume, who cost *700$* ! x'D
I truly hope there will be more to do in the game, in the future.
When the CEO changed, and the director of the game changed, that's when dumb changes started to be implemented.
It went from having a fun gradual level progression system along side its story, Nest Raids that had character, with each nest representing a level cap. 50, 60, 70, 80, 90.
Characters with actual depth and story. To now, rush to the ending of the game a quick as you can, remove all the Nest Raids and level progression systems to rush to end game.
Remove all the Nest and Make them all lvl 90.The devs are mad stupid. And I will forever be upset about how they torched the new player experience for P2W.
the fact that this game doesn't have a pc client tells you that it's just a crash grab
How about the fact the costumes cost 1000$ usd lol and provide stats that outweighs the equipment

As someone that enjoyed flying with Windwalker before it was patched out. I will probably play the Windwalker adjacent character in Dragon Sword as well.
mobile prob means the bloody quick/responsive acro/sm-tier pvp is... not happening
But yeah the good old days of 50/60 cap were awesome.

WW was my main too. It's just too refreshing to see an archer kicking and stomping instead of the usual bow & arrow. Definitely playing it for nostalgic sake but won't expect much from it as well
@@eswss Right? WW is the best. I wouldn't play any other Archer and Show Time is way more fun than whatever Tempest got.
@@bmarti7998 WW is fun to use in PvP especially in Captain Mode if the opponents doesn't have a Inquisitor/ Elestra because you could run around the whole map annoying them, but if those 2 classes are present pretty much WW won't be able to run

I honestly was very skeptical about this, esp. with the label (titled as with 'II' or something). I've seen so many MMO IPs with the same cliche including this one. And once again u mentioned 'Tencent' as a 1st huge major redflag in all of this. And with their involvement, its most probably an auto-play mobile game.
Try game toram online. This game MMORPG mobile no auto ,f2p player and toram can change server and channel at will

Shenqu is formerly Shanda Games ( Co Developer of Final Fantasy 14 with Square Enix. At least they funded them. Aquired by... surprise surprise Shengqu for 4.3 billion USD who then outsourced Dragon Nest 2 to a chinese company. Dragon Nest one was developed by Eyedentity, a Korean company where 1200 engineers spent 3 years developing this single game ). They are not a subsidiary of Tencent. Tencent is simply a publisher in this case.
I can't say all since it's gonna be long. But I can say that there's no auto battle in the game except when you go for Monster codex exp farming. The rest are manual.
Tbh idgaf about the companies, I simply play DN2evolution because I grew up playing DN PC since I was just a student barely reach my 20s and now I'm in my 30s. Played the game for 10+ years
Nothing can beat DN combat system, tried tons of other games but they're still lacking somewhere. DN will always be my benchmark to rate other games in terms of combat.

Man.. there is a Korean MMO that I love called TalesWeaver based on a Korean novel named children of the rune or something like that and there's only a Korean, Chinese, Japan server... A Global server on es came out but it failed, I wish so bad that MMO got a global release I just loved it
They used the art - style of those pirated games for short they used a game engine that was used for old games. Better use Unity or Unreal rather than using an Eternity engine.

Just played it for an hour and a half last night. Wasnt bad, got the purple/pink event wings, got the .99 cent first purchase, got to level 17, made a guild, then had a graphical bug, so i restarted the game and....... my character was reset back to level 3, and all items are gone. Cant even get the first purchase rewards again. :/

I bet these pre-register numbers are fake for most games. You can't track them (since there's no API on Google or Apple to make this fair and legit) and the devs can put anything they want there (on their website/whatever).
On the fun note, for the first trailers (can't remember how many) of Honkai Star Rail, Mihoyo used "fake views" method, so we ended up with a video that has 5.000.000 views and like 8k-10k likes. Since i work in PR, i know all about this BS and it was quite evident to me. Not saying Star Rail is bad, but yeah, using fake views by bots is around x100-200 cheaper on DarkNet, compared to "fake likes" from bots and you can't buy much (it's usually limited to 5-10k max).

Well, they retconned Velskud's battle with Geraint, so I guess they're continuing the story.

i really really hope dragon sword isnt a gatcha game. otherwise I wont even touch it. dragon nest was the best mmorpg I've played. i remember grinding for 3 days straight without sleeping I only fainted for like 5 mins then continued to max lvl which was 45 back then I think

Played like 3 dragon nest mobile mmo in the past they come and go. Within the 1st year they server down not trusting this dragon nest in mobile anymore

According to Wikipedia, Dragon Nest apparently already had 8+ mobile games (including a Dragon Nest II: Legend), so what's one more... I only played Dragon Nest for a week or two so I'm not invested in the franchise; I won't be playing this, and from what I've seen of the one Dragon Sword trailer so far, I don't think I'll be too interested either..

Yikes, installed the APK on my phone, from their website. Everytime you launch it, there's a pause, some miscellaneous sounds, and then the phone goes "Call cancelled" as if a call had just been made and then hung up 😳 APK is defs from their website. So dodgy.

Nope lost me at Mobile, I can tolerate Tencent...but as far as i'm concerned anything Mobile isn't a true "II or III" of any game franchise, its a They're usually cheaply done cash grabs that barely resemble the main game & are auto play, p2w/progress cash grabs.

I also play Dragon Nest back in 2011 - 2015 but I less hype in this game since all sub title game similar to dragon nest always shutdown. I don't expect to much in new DRAGON NEST. I hope their improve at least the quality of character or make the Project D. For sure, this game will become Pay to win again like the original Dragon Nest.

Looks like they just made the map more explorable but the nests look like they will just be in parties of 4-5. The look, feel, skills (and effects) is somehow ported from the first game, so it a bit dated to me. It doesn't really shout as something new for 2023.
